The large white tent that was in the corner of the yard has been moved and now food trucks can park in that corner. They have a rotation of food providers so it's no longer just slices of pizza. The sand pit kid's play area has been replaced with grass and more seating. Children are still welcome, but they now have to play on grass. Better seating arrangements, more quality food choices, it's $5 more to get in, but still the same great entertainment and vibe!

The complimentary breakfast was also a highlight, with a nice spread of options that made it easy to start the day off right. My only suggestion would be to add carpeting in the guest rooms. We could hear footsteps and loud thumping from the room above us throughout the night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely return

Went because of the great reviews, left because of the service. Just an awful experience overall,…read moreand honestly the worst service we had during our entire week in Colorado. We were looking for a quick bite in Golden and unfortunately ended up at Miners Saloon. After seating ourselves, our server took his sweet time making his way over. We ordered the charcuterie board and the whipped ricotta, the former wildly overpriced. The charcuterie board was fine, nothing to write home about. The ricotta, though, was missing in action (we never got it), just like our server, who never once checked on us after taking our order. I think he said maybe three words to us the entire time we were there. We left hungry, frustrated, and disappointed by the service (or lack thereof).

We each enjoyed a glass of La Crema Chardonnay ($13) and shared the Three Amigos appetizer ($13), which comes with tortilla chips, house queso, guacamole, and roasted tomato-jalapeño salsa, along with the Corn and Butternut Enchiladas ($17). At first, I thought the house queso was a little too spicy for my taste, but it quickly grew on me--I couldn't stop dipping chips into it! It was rich, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The guacamole and salsa were also fresh and tasty. The Corn and Butternut Enchiladas were good, though not quite as memorable. I ordered mine with regular cheese instead of the vegan option. The patio was comfortable, and the location made for an enjoyable lunch stop. Just be aware that Washington Avenue is busy, so there is plenty of traffic noise. Overall, we'd stop here again.
