Hey Sal This is drew , still trying to contact you , Because you said a year ago that you had my money from coming up on 3years . How's your bar doing ? I hope its ok and what you thought it would be when we helped you create it . Ie, ..all the interior build out . Its obviously been hard to collect the 1,252.00 that you still owe me , if you won't answer any of my many messages . I'm hoping that this message will remind you of your obligation to pay me for all that work on your bar , the Cove , on Alameda . We even worked on that Easter to get you open . Remember ? Enlight of this financial oversight im trusting you will respond to me now and take care of your responsibility to me with this outstanding payment . Thanks Drew Fowler 7206681934

We had a BLAST! Late night stop before heading back to our hotel. Love the local vibes and bartender was fabulous!

Was served watered down shots and terrible customer service. Save your $ and go elsewhere.

Fun laid back bar with good prices. Good bartender and nice patrons. Great spot if you're looking for dive bar.

The best low-key, cash-only type, bar in Denver west. 2 pool tables, nice bar top. Legit.

For apps, the fried avocado is my favorite (Mexican street corn, Cotija, bacon, chipotle aioli) and their deviled eggs are a nice, reliable choice too. The star of the show is the 242 Smashed Burger (their brisket + short rib blend) is incredible -- juicy, flavorful, and consistently well-executed. Might be the best burger I've had. I've also loved the meatball sub and on another visit enjoyed the short ribs -- all solid entrees. Portions are generous and the menu has a lot of thoughtful, tasty options. Service has been consistently good on every visit -- friendly and attentive staff who keep things moving without feeling rushed. Owner Dave is always welcoming when he's around, which makes the place feel community-oriented and genuine. Overall I highly recommend Tavern 242 if you're in the area -- great burgers, tasty apps, dependable service, and a comfortable atmosphere.

We went for 11 am lunch, so the service was not as attentive because the servers were slow. We are looking forward to coming back on our way to red rocks concert as this is the perfect stop off place.

We just made it a few minutes before the end of happy hour and was able to give the Pork Green Chili Cheese Fries and the Fried Pickles a try. Amazing prices for their happy hour too! We had burgers, the salmon risotto and the steak sandwich. Everything was so tasty. If I had to absolutely nitpick, the fried pickle is the chip style that I love but it was way over seasoned. When the Latina in the group tells you it's too salty, that's telling you something. I tried the pickle on the burger and it was already brined salty, then if you bread that and fry it and then season it... it was unbelievably salty.... Overall the salmon was well cooked, the burgers juicy and the steak sandwich super tender. The bar decor was super pretty and the service amazing.... I would definitely be back and highly recommend to check out their happy hour!

They are also dog-friendly which is a fun feature, but we went on a busy day and there were a bunch of dogs inside and outside, which I have to wonder if so many animals are indoors does this become a food safety issue? I will say our server was very nice, but the food was sub par to say the least. The items we ordered were severely under seasoned. They were quite bland and lacked any depth of flavor. The items on the menu had average prices to them, so there was no sticker shock on that end but, when did restaraunts start charging extra for sides of ranch?! It's not enough to cover your restaraunt costs with the $25 burger I just ordered? This restaraunt is located in a touristy town, so I'm sure they get all the traffic they need, but as a local I will not be back!
