The absolute worse. I hired them in April 2020 to repair an paint a deck. It took three weeks to schedule the repair. Now 40 days after the repair part was completed for a sky high price, they still have not painted the deck. They cancelled the paint part twice now and then push the next date out three weeks every time they cancel. They keep blaming rain, but if they had enough people it would not take three weeks to schedule painting or work around rain. The home is occupied by a tenant and they are unable to use the deck which is causing problems now with the rental contract agreement. I called today and ask that a manager call me. What I got was a Quality guy who wanted to talk over me and explain that it was a rain problem despite the fact that over the last 40 days...it has rained for 5 days. He was interested in lecturing me instead of really understanding that Quality is customer perception...and I percieve that waiting 40 days to paint a deck is poor quality. This was the second and last time I have used "Trusted" Tool Box. They have been fired from the project and I will paint the deck myself in two days time and save the overcharge of 1K to paint a small deck. Over priced and they take way too long. Hire people to work out your long delays on scheduling and completing work. Also work on your prices, you are too high given how long it takes to get the jobs done. read more

Used this service this week to repair kitchen drawers, Ana a couple other issues around the house. The technician was very professional and courteous. He was able to do complete most of my list of items. I highly recommend this company. Very please with what was done. read more

Expensive. I hired them to install a wall oven. The first guy that came over blew up the oven by plugging in 440 into a 220. They replaced the oven and sent a different team to fix the first installation. It was extremely stressful. And I had to wait 2 weeks to have my oven installed plus my time. No discount for what they made me go through. I went along with it because I needed more work done to my home and the second team was better. They said they were looking forward to it. Called them back, they came over, to tell me they didn't do kitchen remodeling or fix window sills anymore. They are still showing those services on their webpage so that's a lie. This teaches me not to trust in people who do a bad job. read more

I used to use another handyman service, but from now on I will definitely be using the Trusted Toolbox. Diego was communicative, on time (early even!) and did an amazing job. He finished in a reasonable amount of time, and he was very respectful toward my furniture and other items he had to work around. They quoted a fair price for the work up front and stuck with that price. I can't recommend Diego and the Trusted Toolbox highly enough! read more

I was not impressed by this company. My job should have taken a day or 2 at tops. Only sent one man ( he was very, very nice) to hold and measure, needed two and the job took 2 weeks. Customer service was minimal at best. Will not use again. read more

First off, I have used The Trusted Toolbox in the past many times. I've given them a lot of business at my old house. I had good and not so good experiences with them; however, what they just did solidifies not ever using them again. I asked The Trusted Toolbox for a quote to finish the plumbing on in my basement bathroom. After a week of waiting for a quote, I emailed them asking them if it was ready. I received a quote that was in line with other quotes that I received from other companies. THE NEXT DAY, I received another quote that was $700 higher than the first quote. When I asked why I received two quotes, I received an email (4 days later) saying the first quote was a rough estimate. I would say that was pretty rough... $700 more? I told them that I felt what they did was unprofessional (especially since it was now WAY more than other quotes I received), and all I was offered was a $100 coupon. Most companies that I've worked for and with, if they make a mistake like this they will honor the first quote, or come closer to it. Not The Trusted Toolbox... I'm taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

I really had high hopes from TTTB. I had wanted to install a pavilion in our backyard for the past couple of years. This year i finally bought it and put some of the basics one man job myself. I contacted TTTB and a nice gentlemen by the name of Buddy called me back and gave me a price which was in line with everyone else's ranging from in the $800 to $1000. I had looked at their website and I felt they were the best option to go with. On the website they say that they will arrive on time with the right technician and right tools. Well, non of that happened. The tech was late, he did not have the right skill or tools, plus this was a two man job not a one man job. He was at our house for a couple of hours and left and said he'd be back. I think in total he made about 5 or 6 trips. After the 2nd or 3rd time he had been there, i received a call from Buddy telling me that they needed to charge me more money because the job was taking too long. I reminded him that we had a contract for a fixed amount and I didn't think what he was doing was ethical, but i offered to pay them the extra but never do business with them again, since Buddy and I had discussed some other work that we wanted done. He said they would finish the job for the agreed upon price per our written contract. The technician came back on a Sunday with a helper who turned out to be his uncle and not a company worker, because TTTB refused to give him a 2nd technician to help him, according to the technician himself. After a couple of weeks he finished the work (not really) and was supposed to come back next day to do the touch ups, and he never showed up. I thought i was happy with the job despite all the damage that was done to it during installation but i just wanted to get it over with so i paid the bill in full. A few days later i was sitting under the pavilion and it started raining and next thing i know the roof is leaking and i was really upset, rightfully so. I emailed Buddy and i got an email telling they would send either a tech or their quality control manager to fix the problem but they were two weeks out, so i said ok. About two weeks later the quality control manager showed up and looked at the work, didn't do anything and left saying they would get back to us. I didn't hear back so i contacted Buddy and he texted me back saying that they had a meeting with the owner and he would get back to me by the end of the week. As promised he called Friday morning to tell me that the job was too screwed up and they did not want to fix it and would rather give me money back than to finish the job they started. I told him that i would rather have them finish the job they started than have my money back, but he made it clear that the only option i had was to get my money back and they did not want to finish the job. Another one of their claims not met "we exceed expectations". I think their handling of my job was unprofessional and their lack of integrity to finish the job they committed to start and finish. Yes they refunded my money in full but that is not the point. I would have much rather have them finish the work. Very disappointing experience. Buddy asked me if i wanted them to do the jobs we had discussed and i asked him if he was joking? read more

I am not sure that the word "trusted" belongs in the name. I had Nate come out and provide a quote for a Ring Floodlight Camera and to install some kitchen lighting. Once the installer arrived, he did not have the junction boxes that were needed and claimed that the quote did not include the time and labor needed to install the floodlight camera. The installer left us with a square hole in our ceiling. "Trustdale," huh? read more

Updating to 4 stars. I would definitely contact The Trusted Toolbox for future needs. I appreciate the response to my review... Three strikes you're out!!! 1. Jeff did a 'drive-by' estimate and seriously under-estimated both the extent of work needed and cost of repairs. 2. No show on day of appointment after I took a day off work. Debra claimed she sent an email to reschedule that I never received and no follow-up call to confirm. 3. Jason finally arrived 2 days later and said he couldn't do the work because Jeff had mis-estimated the extent of work and he was not qualified to do the repairs (+1 for Jason for honesty). TTB was clearly the wrong choice for my project! Three strikes you're out!!! read more

The Trusted Toolbox did a great job in a very timely manner. We noticed bad damage on our deck a few weeks before New Years, and because we were planning a large New Years/Birthday Party we began to panic. They expedited the job and met my needs, working with me to ensure that I was satisfied. They finished in time despite the iffy weather conditions and the rush of the holiday season. I will definitely seek them out the next time that I have a home issue. read more

We hired the company to properly install bath exhaust fans and replace a rotted exterior threshold and trim. Andre arrived on time and was so pleasant and capable. He was thrown several curves due to the quirks of an older house, but he handled them all with creative solutions and an incredible can-do work ethic. The work took much longer than expected, but he stayed until it was done properly and completely. We are so very impressed with this young man and would recommend the Trusted Toolbox based on our experience with him. read more

I cannot tell you how frustrated and angry we are. We finally had to cancel our repair project. To begin with, we had our rear deck steps shoddily repaired by Trusted Toolbox. The work was half-completed, they never returned. We asked to repair our backyard fence and complete the first job. After several last-minute cancellations, including bad weather (it was 85 and sunny). They came...unprepared, no knowledge of the specs their estimator made, and no guarantee when they could finish..they could start, but when they would finish was a mystery. Final straw, the morning they were to start (and finish), they called at 10:30 a.m. that they were so busy, they couldn't start, they would call us. We cancelled the job on the spot. No internal communication, no professionalism, no reliability, shoddy work! This is a company that is misnamed. read more

Hired Trusted Toolbox to remodel two bathrooms. They did a great job and our bathrooms are very nice. It took them a while to complete all the work and sometimes we would not hear from them for a week while work was in process, but we finally got both bathroom finished. After they were paid for everything we had some minor issues with one bathroom and it was very difficult to get them to come out and look at it. Unfortunately, when they finally did the guy put the cartridge in backwards and we could not get enough hot water to shower. After four weeks of calling them we had to have it fixed by someone else, as they would never respond. So work is great but don't rely on your warranty. read more

I would like to amend the previous review. To make a long story short, we had a deck replaced last year and they did a bad job (excellent references didn't work in this case). We contacted The Trusted Toolbox to see if they could help. Absolutely most horrendous, unacceptable service I've ever encountered. I arranged to have someone mount a 48" TV, put up 3 floating shelves, and hang 9 picture frames. Handyman arrived and proceeded to spend an hour reading about the mount and making individual trips to his truck for one tool at a time, before leaving for 35 minutes to go to the hardware store. Mind you, this company bills by the hour, and was clearly trying to milk this job. He finally came back from the store and proceeded to DROP my television behind my entertainment unit, leaving a scratch in my new paint and my TV possibly damaged. After running out to his truck and leaving me to inspect the damage, he told me he needed to leave. He was a "nervous wreck" and had had "a bad week" leaving him "scared to touch anything". He didn't even reach the office--left them a voicemail, packed up his tools (leaving my scratched wall, five extra drill holes, dust all over my furniture, my TV face down on the floor, his own tarp, and all the garbage from the TV mount), and bolted. Yes. This guy seriously showed up at my house, took his time starting the job, DROPPED MY TV, damaged my walls, and ran away. Trusted Toolbox did send out a second guy to finish the job and patch the holes and scratches, which I appreciated. He noted that the mount the first guy hung was several inches higher than I had asked for, and crooked, so he took it down and redid the work. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Terrible customer service ! I called a day in advance to verify if a handyman will be showing up for their scheduled visit. I was assured everything was ready to go The day of I got an email about 45 min before the scheduled time that my handyman will not be able to make it. No call. Just an email. I was told the next available time was next week which is unacceptable. I had to drive a long distance to see my handyman today which I scheduled a MONTH ago. The work had to be completed before I left town for a month I called and left a message to complain about this totally unprofessional situation Next time this company should call their customers and try to schedule something the same day to accommodate customers Terrible will never use their service again read more

Recently noticed our screened porch door wasn't fully opening and called The Trusted a toolbox for a quote to repair. They broke the news to me gently. My deck was poorly built, and was shifting. Great experience, reasonably priced, and I can see their work will hold up for the long term. read more

We hired The Trusted Toolbox to finish a laundry list of repairs at our home, including a deck rebuild, installation of a wooden side rail next to our front entry, replacement of one storm door, and fixes to two other doors that weren't keeping a good seal. We got three different estimates, and Toolbox was the highest one, but their estimates still seemed to be about in line with what the usual charge was for these projects in a big city, and they seemed to have a good track record (good reviews from friends who had also used them), so we went with Toolbox. The tech who was sent to do the work for us was Jason Carder, and he was very friendly and polite, and an extremely hard worker. There were some problems with some of the work upon initial completion. For example, the screws and nails holding the side rail to the concrete stoop didn't hold, leaving the rail very unstable. However, we contacted the company about the issues, and they sent out someone to assess the work and figure out a solution, then sent our tech back out to do the necessary repairs or rebuilds. Ultimately, although we had a couple of little bumps in the road to getting the work done to our satisfaction, those bumps aren't totally the fault of the company (some of the problems had to do with issues with how our home was originally built), and the Trusted Toolbox and Jason Carder did everything they could do to make sure the work was good and we were happy. Overall a pretty good experience. read more

Jan10, 2019 The GA Granite counter was contracted by TTT and I paid TTT up front in full. So why did I have to deal with their technician who basically said there was nothing they could do? He tried to get me to believe a power tool caused the damage (blaming TTT). I pointed out the half dozen spots / drips and said no tool could have done that and it was a chemical spill or not fully polished. The representative basically didn't give a care. He was brash enough to say he had to wait on me an hour. Really? I was the customer who paid in good faith for a product. Marshall told me they would come in the morning and there was never a phone call until 4:00PM and they were at my house! Bad enough I have to accept an inferior job but taking blame for not being onsite when they were the ones who were late? Jeezzzz....... For something that started Oct 30th, 2018 and finished Jan 8th 2019 I will be very happy when I finish scraping new paint off the counter top, repaint with a clean brush touchup areas, sand and properly finish window casing that were the #1 reason I called TTTB in the first place. All this for $9,700.00? Marshall above all else you tried your hardest and you are the only reason I have not called an attorney. The amateurs who painted my brand-new stainless appliances, my new laminate flooring, the new carpet, the new door knobs, will hopefully be replaced. I mean leaving my home with drop cloths on the floor and refrigerator in the middle of kitchen from Dec 22nd to Jan was evidence of a lack of concern. I was a fool to think I could plan for Christmas at my house. Lastly please call and give at least a two-hour notice before someone come by to pick up good the riddance check. Oh, by the way bring a broom and sweep up the broken glass from the broken back porch lite. In closing I can only comment that no continuity between crews exist. Sending people to do that or that and confirming it was actually done will help. It is a left hand right hand thing. What I believe is the TTT knows Atlanta is sprawling and there are multitude of people who can be mislead. Darn shame the integrity is missing. read more

I began calling The Trusted Toolbox in late August of this year because they advertised proficiency and readiness to do small "punchlist" jobs (I needed two windows replaced). It took several attempts to reach them, even after leaving two voicemails. Finally, I was able to schedule Greg to come out and give an estimate. I waited a few days afterward and still no email. I emailed him and he stated he had to "re-send" it. It was never sent in the first place. I accepted the offer on 9/9/18 via email and never heard anything from this company. Finally, I emailed again on 9/20 asking for a status. Greg emailed the next day to say they were in the process of ordering my windows and the scheduling department would contact me. I never heard anything from them for several weeks. When I tried calling, the woman on the phone stated Greg or Chris or whoever handled scheduling and ordering would call me back. Nobody returned my calls, period. This happened about three or four times. When I finally got through it was one excuse after another. Chris told me they would be in touch when the windows came. Well, come to find out, the windows had come in but they were damaged (no fault of theirs) and had to be reordered. I was kept completely in the dark during this entire time. In October I made several more attempts to reach someone over the phone and got the same treatment. On 11/5, I emailed Greg once more and still have not gotten a response; today's date is 11/28. I have wasted nearly three months with The Trusted Toolbox. I should have moved on earlier. My impression is a company that is poorly run and completely unresponsive to customers. I will never contact them again for anything. Two weeks ago, I hired another company and already have a date scheduled for my windows. It is worth mentioning that Chris informed me at one point they were having trouble with their supplier, but that doesn't excuse or negate the complete disconnect between them and the customer. I haven't emailed or called them to officially say I'm done with their company. At this point I'm just curious to if they ever respond. Their customer service is comical at best. In my opinion, Greg and Chris have no credibility in following through with a job. I WILL NEVER CONSIDER THEM AGAIN! read more

I have never written a review but decided it was important to do so after my experience with Trusted Toolbox. I needed two things repaired in my home. When I first called Trusted Toolbox, I told them what the two repairs were. By the time the repairman made it to my home (it took some time to get someone to respond to me and set up a time to come to the home) one of the repairs had already been completed by a friend of ours. Therefore, the Trusted Toolbox handyman only had one repair to complete. When the Trusted Toolbox handyman completed his work, I received an invoice in which the repairman stated he completed two repairs. This was a clear lie as one of the repairs had already been completed prior to him even entering the home. When I explained this to the company, I did not even receive an apology. I explained that it was disappointing to me that their repairman would lie about completing a job that he never actually did. Their response was to tell me how I could pay for the invoice (check or credit card). Saddens me because I have been searching for a company I can trust to complete repairs without overcharging or lying about work, guess they just aren't trustworthy. read more

Trusted Toolbox is very expensive at $150 for the first hour, $80 each hour thereafter. (Although they didn't give me a heads up, I've since learned that there are coupons online that can put a little dent in that.) When the handyman arrived, he accidentally backed over the edge of my new yard and left a mess. I had contacted them because I needed a TV mounted on the wall above my fireplace. It's a new home so there was already the necessary opening in the wall and the cable wire was already threaded through. I had the bracket so it just needed to be installed as agreed (6" above mantel) and the TV secured to it. The technician installed it much higher than that and it would have been extremely difficult to watch the TV so he needed to lower it - still not to the requested 6" but better. There is no way that the task should have taken a full hour, and a good part of that was due to his mistake, but nonetheless I was charged for every minute of the time. In addition, by not properly planning and putting the bracket where it needed to go the first time, he left holes in the new wall that are visible from both sides. I had him stay for a little longer since I had expected more to get accomplished during the visit but then had him wrap it up at the 2 hour mark. It simply was not efficient or cost effective. I completed the remaining tasks myself. I notified Trusted Toolbox the same day as to my concerns about the service. While they initially seemed responsive (e.g., they had the same employee come out the next afternoon and wash the dirt off the driveway), they have not gotten the damaged sod replaced, have not shared any concrete plans to have it done, have not mentioned the unnecessary holes in my living room wall, and have not refunded any portion of my payment that covered rework as he tried to get the task correct. There has been absolutely no word from them over the past 2 weeks. read more

First off, I never write reviews - so being compelled to do so, should tell you something about this service. We had the trusted toolbox come out to do a variety of things at the house from wood rot repair, window trim replacement, and shower leaks. Not a single project was finished properly the first time, so we had them come back out for a second visit. That being said, it took them a week to respond and 2 to come back out. On the second visit, the work was still mediocre and some not even properly completed (we didn't know until another contractor/handyman came out to look at different things). We had had to get new people out to fix and complete 3 projects that we paid the trusted tool box to take care of. Do not hire this company. read more

We chose Trusted Tool Box based on a recommendation from our friend who used them for their project. We had Ron and Richard work in our home for 2 days. Their work was superior. They were very respectful of our home, taped and put up plastic to protect our home from the dust created from sanding mudded areas. They showed up on time and worked diligently to complete our project in the time frame that was quoted to us and to our expectations. We usually do our own projects because of poor workmanship from the professionals ; not this time! We would definitely recommend the Trusted Tool Box and would use them again hoping to get Ron and Richard to do the job! read more
