Punctual, kind, professional, knowledgable, and efficient. Had two TVs put up on walls and they look perfect.

Went to the Fox for what turned out to be a very expensive night. No idea how I lost my car key…read morefob. Called AAA and they had no locksmiths available. So much for a Plus membership! Then came the scare tactics. Without a key, towing the car could cause damage so they have to use a truck with "special tools." AAA only pays up to $100 of the tow anyway and their contracted locksmiths are shady. To Yelp I go! Yelp sent my request to a few companies. Three called. One said he could get me into the car but couldn't make a key. Another said he was too busy. Sonkey was the easy choice! Christopher was very nice on the phone which is important when you're stranded downtown at night. He gave me a fair price ($250). I know because I called around to compare. Another company charged more for "programming" the key fob. Chris also provided status updates. When it took longer than the 45 minutes he'd quoted he let me know how long it would be. No-one does that. When Chris arrived he put me at ease by telling me about himself. He's a producer, musician, song writer and makes worship music. Sometimes his son works with him. Hence "Son"key. Payment was easy. Use Zelle to avoid credit card fees. Most importantly he made me a key fob that was as good as my original. I've had some really raggedy replacement fobs so that's a blessing. He provided an invoice too. In short, I saved Sonkey in my phone in case I'm ever in need of a locksmith. Extra points for supporting a small, black owned business. 100% recommend!

I spoke directly with Danny. The interaction was not courteous, and I was told I would receive a callback with pricing and service timing after he spoke with his technician. I waited. After about an hour passed with no return call, I called back thinking I might have missed it. He again stated he had not yet spoken with the technician but promised to call me back. That call never came. I understand that small businesses get busy. What's not acceptable is telling a customer multiple times that you'll follow up and then not doing so. Clear communication is basic customer service. Before posting this, I took a moment to read other reviews, and it appears there may be a pattern of similar complaints about follow-ups and communication. That's concerning because reliability and responsiveness are critical when you're calling a locksmith. I'm sharing this so others can make informed decisions. Good technical work doesn't outweigh poor communication. If you can't take a job, just be upfront -- people plan their time around these calls.
