I had the best possible experience with Johnson Drywall for my ceiling redo and wall painting in May 2022, and definitely recommend them! Johnson Drywall removed my stippled ceiling and repainted the walls at my house in the Atlanta suburbs. The very first time I called them, David Johnson personally answered the phone; this was already impressive because other contractors wouldn't even call me back. Because it was a huge job spanning multiple rooms across the entire house, he originally estimated the job would take 2-3 weeks; the job ended up taking only 1 week to complete! David Johnson brought in more workers and even had them work on the weekend to complete the job sooner, which I was very happy about. David Johnson was very easy to reach via phone or text, and provided a detailed estimate via email before we started any work. He worked with me to keep costs down and very generously did not charge me for some more minor aspects of the work. Also, while he's located in Cobb County which is an hour away from me (I'm in a closer Atlanta suburb), he met me at my house to create the estimate just a few days after our initial phone call. Just aweful. We hired Johnson Drywall to install some drywall after a flood in our basement. This included a ceiling and a wall. 1) The seams between the sheets of drywall are visible EVERYWHERE. Every single seam is visible. 2) Drug needles were left on our property, and one was even in the back seat of my car that was parked in the garage! 3) It cost more to fix what they messed up than what I originally paid them. Just look elsewhere folks if you need drywall, and don't want meth needles left laying around where your kids can get to them. read more

This was a tough job - circa 1920's intown condo that had deeply textured plaster walls and ceiling that had settled and become wavy over the years. David and his team assessed the situation and made a competitive offer. They showed up on time, were clean and professional, and completed everything agreed to in the proposal. Two of his guys completed the work the following morning. The guys were professional and I didn't mind having them in my space for the work.
