I contacted J&E contracting because I had a leak and due to no plumbers being available for weeks. It ruined part of the ceiling and the plumber had to cut out the sheet rock. I first called and spoke with Javier who asked me to text him pics etc. he got back to me the same day. I sent him pictures of what needed to be done and he was very detailed about the questions asked me. This told me he was very serious about taking this job because I reached out to another company (Alcaraz) and sent them all the same info and they ghosted me but, I'm glad they did. Anyway, once we set the date and time he was super communicative, the whole time. He showed up on time with all of his materials ready to work. Once the hole was covered he even went to Home Depot to get the exact color paint for my ceiling. I felt very comfortable with Javier who was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I feel I received a fair price for the work that was done. He definitely went above and beyond and I can't even tell where that hole was before, he did a great job and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I had a rental property with peeling paint in a bedroom ceiling. I initially contacted Javier to assess the situation and repair it and he went above and beyond my expectations. He diagnosed the problem as a small leak in the roof and went about fixing that, testing it to make sure the leak didn't reoccur and then he did a beautiful job, patching sanding and painting the ceiling such that I cannot even tell where the repair occurred. Javier, Freddie, and Victor are at the top of the list when it comes to anything drywall related. Initially we hired them to remove popcorn ceilings for the entire 3,000 sq ft house (see photos). They were super well priced and they made very quick progress. Within a week and a half, they had the entire house completed. A few months later we decided we needed some help with 5 rooms that had existing wallpaper we needed removed and then re-painted. Similarly, J&E managed to do the whole thing in about a week and a half (see photos). Then finally we decided that we needed some help patching holes in the ceiling after doing a bunch of electrical work. Javier did such a great job, they are completely invisible. Javier and his team are AMAZING! I recently hired them to remove our stippled ceilings. I received three other quotes and Javier came in the lowest and was able to start the work quicker. It did take a bit of back and forth to schedule, he is so busy working on projects that it makes sense why he can't respond right away, but the patience was worth it! He really should be charging more for the quality of work. While he told me it was likely the work wouldn't be done until after the new year, they actually hustled and finished up on Christmas Eve! It took them only one week to complete 2 floors (1500-1800sq ft) of work. Stippled ceiling is no easy feat you guys. And we can't even tell it ever existed in our house. There were some minor messes (expected for this type of job) and Javier came back to clean up, no questions asked. We had interior ceiling issues in 7 rooms, the master bedroom required straightening the sheet rock seams on an almost 30 foot span. As you can imagine this was very very messy, but Freddy and Javier made everything right. Best of all, they cleaned up every day. Sometimes they had to be in the house by themselves (while my husband and I were at work) and that was never a problem. We also needed some canned lights to be installed in the MB and Javier had someone in the neighborhood (Lorenzo) who came over, gave us a quote and while the ceiling was being repaired the lights were also taken care of. J&E Contracting is amazing in every way! I highly recommend them. They are incredibly thorough, detail-oriented, hard-wokring, and honest. The highest quality painters you can find! We used them twice, once for our large kitchen and living room, and the second time for our large bathroom, including doing our bathroom cabinets (sanding, priming with oil-based primer, and painting), and also the living room, kitchen, hallway, ceilings, trim, and bathroom of another house. Both times the work was impeccable and they went above and beyond. The communication is great, and Javier asks detailed questions to ensure they give you exactly what you want. In my case, they covered up small nail holes on the walls, did some minor wall repair, caulking, and even repaired some bathroom tile around our tub. You can 100% trust them to get the job done to perfection. They are also very neat. They cover everything before painting, to make sure that not a single drop of paint or dust from sanding will get on your carpets or belongings. They are also very polite, soft-spoken, and professional. They will be very respectful of your home and not only keeping it pristine, but improving it dramatically! Our last deal was a painter for a week at $1,895, and instead of one painter, we arranged to have multiple painters for a day and a half. They were all wonderful painters. Let me assure you that they are incredibly hard-working, and will never slack on a job in the least. Javier and his team did an excellent job! I have high, vaulted ceilings which have been cracking, and I've been struggling to find someone to repair them. Most companies seem to shy away from the combination of "vaulted" and "cracking". However, Javier came for the estimate and told me it would be no problem. He and his team arrived right on time the next week when we scheduled it, fixed everything, and repainted. The job was done very carefully and you can tell that they make sure they're doing quality work. The paint was matched from a paint chip from part of the cracked portion of the ceiling, and once the new paint was dry, the color was off a bit. Though it was no fault of theirs, Javier and his team came by again without question and repainted everything to make sure it looked perfect.
