What happened! This used to be my favorite place to show off! I moved out of town and was so excited to show my boyfriend my favorite restaurant, the service was horrible. We were checked on twice! The Alfredo is not worth ordering anymore was bland and salty at the same time my fries were unsalted and cold and the cracked red potatoes were almost brown. The fried shrimp was still good so was the spinach dip. I'm so sad and disappointed. I really hope they figure out what's going on because this used to be the spot. Oysters were steamed and delicious. The shrimp taco was the best fried shrimp taco I've ever had. The scallop wrapped with bacon dipped in the spicy peanut sauce was perfect. My husband had the rebels kickin chicken sandwich. Hands down the best chicken sandwich; the chicken was juicey and just melted in your mouth. The coleslaw was only okay, nothing special. The Rita Rush drink was like every other margarita. Spuds I think is what the potatoes with melted cheese and bacon were called, but they were alright. The chocolate cheese cake and key lime pie both hit the sweet spot. The food portions were definitely generous. The service was very fast and friendly. They are most certainly accommodating. Traveling back to Florida we stayed in South Carolina overnight and with yelp we found The Tin Fin. How lucky we were to find among some very crappy looking and sounding restaurants, a jewel of a restaurant. The Tin Fin served he great crab cakes, soft baked potato and fresh green beans. My husband had blackened scallops, hush puppies (not the best), and French fries. We shared a great Caesar salad. Nice place and nicer wait staff! Loved it. read more

Such a cute restaurant! We stumbled upon this little jewel located in a small "strip mall". The catchy name and restaurant front sparked our interest so we thought it would be an "ok" choice for lunch. It was more than ok... it was fantastic!! Quality, fresh seafood. Excellent service. I ordered the catch of the day salad (tuna perfectly seared, nice crisp lettuce!) and my husband ordered the low country boil with crab legs (and finished all of it). Menu items are fresh, homemade and although we didn't have room for dessert, they sure looked delish! If you are in the Rincon GA area, stop in for lunch or dinner. The interior decor is well done; rustic, charming with interesting details. Stopped in yesterday for the first time with another couple for a late lunch. We started with the app low country shrimp boil. Delicious. My husband had the chicken alfredo, he loved it. I had bacon wrapped scallops, i would hv preferred crispier bacon but they were ok. The other couple had the crab cakes and the fried shrimp platter. Delcious. They really enjoyed their food. They decided to order the buffalo shrimp also because everything they tried was so good. We all enjoyed the service and food so much, we will be returning. read more

Stopped here yesterday for the first time for lunch. I had the lunch special of Shrimp and Grits and a small Peach cobbler. The dessert offering was Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. I told the waitress I am allergic to peanut butter and she substituted the cobbler for me. Score 1 right there. Then the grits came out. They were creamy, dreamy, cheesy grits with sweet shrimp. Great size bowl for lunch. Now the cobbler was small but this was lunch and it was the perfect size. The food is wonderful! My wife and I tried the Shrimp, Crab legs, Oysters, low country boil that had Sausage, Corn on the Cobb, Potatoes. The Crab Stew is out of this world, and I am very picky when it comes to crab stew. The peach cobbler was amazing also, it is served in an cast iron pan, and of course ice cream on top. My wife and I both had the peach cobbler. It has to be homemade. This place stays busy, which means they have great food and great service. Fine dining in Rincon at an affordable price! As a 20+ year manager of a restaurant, the dining options in Rincon have been pretty awful, but I'm happy to say that in addition to the Schnitzel Shack, we have another great restaurant that could compete with the fine dining of downtown Savannah. Judging by the reviews this looked like a good place to go for seafood. Started out with a $6 Bloody Mary that was good but in a very small glass. Seafood Alfredo Skillet tasted like the sauce was made from a box. Shrimp was good but all in all the meal was disappointing. My wife got the low country boil and was turned off by the stale and hard potatoes. For the money spent, I would have been happier eating next door at The Schnitzel Shack. read more

Good, local seafood joint in a strip mall setting. The shrimp and grits were very good, creamy and served with bacon bits and bread for getting the last of the sauce. Visiting friends and relatives in Rincon decided to have dinner on a Tuesday .i had the catch of the day mahi-mahi grilled, melt in your mouth delicious , my friend had the snow boil also delicious , large portions. We've been here a few times. I'm giving four stars instead of five only because we've only ever tried the snow crab legs and sides so I can't speak to any of their other dishes. We stopped in Pooler on our way to Florida. Checked YELP for a place to grab dinner and came across The Tin Fin. Followed the GPS to a little strip mall. What a surprise! I know the locals love The Tin Fin but I find it to be mediocre. The sauces are a bit salty for me. The ranch is great though. The seafood is nice and fresh but the portions are small for some items. What a great restaurant! We found it almost at random. It had a nice, well maintained and clean, look about it. The greeters at the door acknowledged us immediately. They were busy but we were seated in minutes. Morgan, our waitress, was polite, professional, and had our drinks to us very quickly. She knew about the menu options and had intelligent responses to even our silly questions. The dining area is clean and well engineered to get in and out of easily. I had the Mahi-Mahi and my wife had the shrimp. Both dishes were well presented and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Delicious! We commented to the manager how pleasant our stay was and how professional all the staff was. She is obviously doing a great job training and motivating her team. The staff all made us feel welcome and confident that they knew what they were doing and cared to do the right thing, in particular two members we had the most contact with, Morgan our waitress and the manager. This is Rincon Georgia's best restaurant by far. The decor is on point and the food was amazing. I really appreciated the friendly service and fresh ingredients. We were a party of three and they were able to seat us immediately. The Shrimp and Grits are some of the best I have ever had. The crab cakes were made with lump crab meat and seasoned perfectly. They have a generous selection of side dishes that all looked tempting. It's hard to go wrong here for less than $20.00 per person. read more

Seated immediately and drinks ordered. We ordered the ahi tuna as an appetizer to share and it was delicious. It seemed to be taking along time for our dinner but the waitress came out and explained that the kitchen had overcooked my husband's crab cakes and was remaking them. He loved them! Great quality food for Rincon! I was really impressed with the quality of the seafood, especially considering that it is about an hour away from the beach. However, the atmosphere and quality of the fish was akin to restaurants much closer to the ocean. Also, you can often catch pretty great deals here, especially in the height of crab season! The only dish I've had that could be a bit better is the fish tacos. The fish itself and seasoning was great, but I found it odd that they were served on flatbread instead of tortillas. The flatbread is far too dense for a taco, but if they switched to tortillas, the dish would be perfect! read more

I ate there when the restaurant first opened up and it was amazing. Last night my wife and myself went there before grocery shopping and it was pitiful. We sat down and our waitress was quick she took our drink order and got it wrong. So I dealt with it and didn't say anything. We got the fried pickles which were very good but took 20 minutes to get. We ordered I had the seafood duo (fried shrimp and oysters) and my wife got the crab boil. We finally got our food and the fried shrimp were delicious but the oysters were a different story. They were barely cooked. You could tell my food had sat under a heat lamp because they were dripping in grease and the fries were soggy and dripping with grease. My wife took a bite of her boiled shrimp and had to spit it in a napkin and get something to drink before she threw up I tried one and they had a smell to them so she said maybe it was a fluke and ate another but same result. We put them on a napkin along with my oysters and the waitress asked if there was a problem which my wife not wanting to cause any sort of scene just politely said they don't taste right nothing was ever said about the oysters. The manager came and offered her another cluster of crab legs she said that was fine when she got them the legs were hot and cooked but the body's were ice cold. But at least they tried but wasn't happy with a 75$ bill for poor food. read more

For Rincon this is one of the few places to eat a good meal. Pricey for what you get. Seafood is OK. I had the pot roast, had way to much salt in it for my liking. I drank a gallon of water after the meal. I felt dehydrated from all the salt. Try making your own beef broth it would be much better. read more

I was dispatched to pick up and deliver food from this restaurant. I cringe every time I get an order to pick up here. They will not start cooking the food until the driver arrives and pays for it. (There are a handful of restaurants that do this, it does delay getting the food to the customer though). Usually, there is no more than a 15 minute wait at other restaurants. Not Tin Fin, minimum wait is 30-50 minutes. I had a big problem yesterday. I was in Pooler got dispatched, arrived 15 minutes, waited 42 minutes for 3 orders of chicken tenders and spuds. I was making $8.50 on this delivery, while I was there 2 more orders popped up, I accepted both because if you don't your acceptance rating goes down, plus I was getting paid another 11 dollars (Subway) and 17 dollars (Barbecue place). You have to pick up and deliver according to the order they tell you. I left Tin Fin finally, went to Subway and was in/out in 1 minute, pulled into BBQ parking lot and up pops. Message, the first order TIN FIN was canceled by the customer. My kids got free food plus I was paid. My point is, please cook the food when order is placed. Your going to get lots of unhappy customers if you don't. I've picked up at least 5 orders here and it takes forever to get the food, plus customers are angry because they get their food late. I tried talking to the employees, but to no avail. I've made over 900 deliveries from 50 different restaurants and this is the worst one ever. On this particular order I called 15 minutes in advance to let them know I was on my way and to please start cooking the meal. I was told again, that would not cook it until I arrived. , read more

Tin fin charges $.50 for every single Togo container but only if you get takeout and don't dine it. This is the most absurd thing ever. No other restaurant I've even been to does this. They say it's because prices are low and don't include containers. This is a reasonable answer if it wasn't for two fatal flaws. One it costs them more to dine in then dine out between payroll, cleaning dishes, and wear and tear of replacing those dishes. And the next big flaw if you dine in and don't finish your food they don't charge that ToGo fee. It's almost like they have a quota for people needed to be in the restaurant and they penalize you if you don't dine in. I don't like seafood but there Chicken fingers and spud combined with honey mustard and honey horsey is identical to Spanky's (which is a good thing). Also there chicken Alfredo is good if you add a few spices and serves 2 meals. Chocolate cheesecake is also good which btw is $6.00 ($6.50 with ToGo fee) which is standard for almost all identical type restaurants that for the record doesn't charge that ToGo fee for the same price. read more
