Decided to check Riley's out tonight haven't been since the name change. The atmosphere was great, had a good crowd but wasn't loud or noisy. Staff friendly and professional and welcoming. The food was wonderful, Shrimp and Grits just like I like it not a bunch of stuff thrown in House Special sauce was great, bacon and green onions bits just right. Wife had the fish and chips and the 3 large fish portions where perfectly seasoned, flaky wonderful, fries hush puppies wonderful. Our server checked on us numerous times, great service. So I wasn't sure what to expect given the location of this restaurant. Sitting on the side of a busy road littered with car dealerships etc. I figured casual food in a chain-like setting. Parking was easy. The sign outside was cute. The building is kind of industrial meets cottage. The daily sign said that we were there on date night. I started to get a feeling that Riley's was going to be much more personalized than I anticipated. I was right. The restaurant is large and spacious but still feels cozy. There is a back room area that was much more bar focused. It seemed to be filled with regulars having a great time. Our food was delicious. The menu offered so many different things and the three of us all loved everything we tried. The fried pickles were perfect. I went to the restroom and saw all kinds of what looked like costumes. I wasn't sure what that was all about so I asked our server. She said they do character shows for the kids on certain nights. What a sweet idea!! Our server was a tiny little girl who looked like she was 12. She was SUPER FRIENDLY and so helpful. Riley's is a fun, comfortable family friendly restaurant with a lot of variety in their menu. They have good food and great service. They also have a full bar. Their fish and chips and fried shrimp are very good and I like the fried okra and that they have large variety of side dishes. I went 10 minutes before the kitchen closed. They offered me to order asap but told me I could go to the bar and order too off the late night menu. I ordered a mule(which was great) and a Caesar salad (really good) while I waited on my food to go at the bar. The outside area has a great ambiance and the bar area is nice too. As locals, this was our first time visiting this restaurant and we had high hopes. Unfortunately, it was a was a HUGE disappointment. With more and more of our local dining options giving way to national fast food chains, we were really hoping this family owned restaurant would be a refuge for a very good meal. This place lacks appeal on so many levels. The ambiance is absent, the decor incohesive, unsettling, and lacking. Not sure if they were going for a theme...seems they couldn't decide and settled on a mash up of industrial/country /shabby. There were only 3 tables of dining customers, yet the place is very noisy due to the industrial look. Apparently it was Sunday Funday so there was a large group playing cards by the exit. Its hard to tell from the space if this establishment is a bar, a restaurant or a club house. Please pick one and try to succeed at that one thing. Concrete block walls, lots of empty open spaces...noise bounces off the walls. Ladies room stall was a wreck. We noticed the "we are short, staffed sign" when we walked in, so expected service to be slow and that was fine, but your servers and staff has to smile at your guests and be personable, warm and welcoming. Not sure why some folks have rated the food as "decent". A steak should NEVER, NEVER be served with COLD, TASTELESS Instant Powder mashed potatoes that strongly resemble wall spackling and a small bowl of rough chopped cabbage (their version of coleslaw, we think). The other order was served with warm, under cooked frozen crinkle fries that also lacked seasoning, which is very appropriate for this restaurant. The atmosphere is uncomfortable, servers look miserable and unhappy to be there, and the food was sub-par. The menu is as dull as the food. Giving cutesy names to your entrees does not enhance poorly favored over priced meals. (two entrees and 2 sweet teas were $50 plus tip) Our first and last time at Riley's. There are just too many options in Pooler or Savannah to waste the time, energy or money here. read more

Terrible! Don't waste your money. We were excited to go back and enjoy their new brunch menu after church. Sadly after we sat down, they told us they weren't serving brunch that day. The entire restaurant smelled horrible and was filled with smoke. Apparently their vent was broken in the kitchen but it made for a miserable dining experience. We debated leaving, but decided to go ahead and eat there. The menu had changed so drastically and had been pared down to basically bar food. They did still have the Yard Bird so we ordered that. The sides we had to choose from were awful. No more mashed potatoes. No more green beans. No healthy sides unless you wanted to pay extra for a premium side, which was just a salad. The food got there and the yard bird was not the same as it had been in the past. It had a soggy skin, with green sludge that they passed off as pesto. The fries were cold and undercooked. My daughter's cheeseburger didn't even look like real meat. It was a perfectly round grey flat patty. Oh and it came without cheese. This is the last time we will be eating at Riley's. Mixed drinks were weak. I dont get it i was so proud to send people here due to the quality and the fact it was one of the only restaurant who not just survived covid. But opend right in the midst of it and thrived. Now it was 730 on saturday saff had six tables full and over staffed bare was busy. Food was good, I had the shrimp cakes w/ macaroni and cheese, but a little salty for my taste. EVERYTHING was breaded. My mom had the angus burger, she said it could be better. Everything tasted very bland. We ordered Alfredo Pasta (BB's) and it was very very bland. Tasted like Ragu sauce. The steak was bland and not seasoned well. Shrimp was good and cooked well. Came here for dinner about a month ago on a Friday night. Service was great and food was delicious. Unfortunately my experience wasn't up to that standard today. Our server was an angel. My critiques in this post do not reflect his actions or words. Please give the tall, blonde, young man props for working with what he was given by the poor management staff today. Ordered the bologna sandwich and they were out. Okay, no big deal. Ordered grilled chicken Caesar salad, loaded potato soup, and a side of onion rings. The loaded potato soup was turning sour and the onion rings never came. Recovered by removing the soup and onion rings from the bill. I found out the onion rings weren't coming after he returned to the table twice with other needed items. Not once did a manager touch the table to offer recovery or to do their job. Instead they were sitting in the bar area playing on their phone. After being in Food and Beverage management for 10 years, the most frustrating thing was an absent manager. This poor boy had to take the heat for lack of communication between the kitchen, management, and FOH staff. Management and ownership MUST be present and have their servers backs. Communicate your 86 list. Prepare them for special mods or delayed items. TOUCH THE TABLE. Be present on the floor. Unfortunately, I don't see this beautiful establishment lasting very long if this is how things are going to go. Sad as Rincon is in need of a great family restaurant that offers items such as Riley's. It's going to be a no-go for me moving forward. read more

I hate to do this. I was rooting for this place. But second visit and this was worse then the last. Two of the five drinks came out wrong. One of three salads came out wrong (with eggs, which that person can't eat). The appetizer was tasty but way too small for the price. BUT NOW COMES THE BAD PART: First they were out of the steaks we ordered and we didn't even find out for half an hour. So we re-ordered. After another long wait we finally got our plates. Fries and mashed potatoes were COLD. Baked potatoes were overcooked and the steaks? I don't even know how they accomplished this.....burned on the outside and RAW on the inside. Dry. Cold. Inedible. Why???? Who does this to meat???? It took another long period of time and multiple exchanges to get them understand we did NOT WANT THE STEAKS REHEATED. I mean, ewww? No?? Food poison??? Just, no. So, two hours without being able to actually eat our meals and taking some items off the menu and we still got hit with a bill almost $70. This is not ok!! I understand this place is new but the doors should not be open if you cannot serve appropriately prepared foods that are safe to eat. We are grabbing a pizza on the way home. My wife and I were excited watching the remodel of the old bar and were hoping for a nice, clean, new restaurant. I was thinking we should go for my 65th, but that was not to be. Covid-19 came and rearranged our lives and most others. We just stayed home for a very long time. Since we couldn't actually go out, I did look at their reviews. Most were really good but I read a couple that were not. Even so, I still wanted to give the new restaurant a chance. So, coming back from my doctor in Savannah today, it was mid-afternoon and neither my wife nor I had eaten anything since breakfast. I suggested we chance it and stop at Riley's. We did and we are both so glad. I know I'm probably going to misspell her name, but Trysta served us. She was very friendly and answered all of our questions. She checked on us three times during our meal and promptly took our CC. She bubbled with personality and we were glad we set in her section. Now for the food. We ordered fried mushrooms and an order of hush puppies. I was hungry as was my wife and as we were gobbling them down, my wife was kind enough to tell remind me not to eat too much. She was right, but they were so good with the Guinness I ordered. My club sandwich and arrived and it was plenty big and looked really nice. It tasted even better. I made the right lunch choice for me. My wife's food looked great too. She ordered wings , (I don't know the amount but she thought about taking some home) with a side of mushrooms and a top shelf gin & tonic with 3 limes! After eating, she thought that maybe we just had our big meal of the day. We were both very satisfied and absolutely recommend Riley's and plan to return many times. Great food. Jennifer (Jersey) is the best server around. First time I visited, right before the COVID collapse, the service was really slow. Not sure of the server's name . However, I gave it another shot and the service was 100x better. Jersey really takes care of her customers. She's honest and anticipates her customer's needs before they even ask. The food is well prepared and flavorful. Hubby and I both had the sirloin tips--. His with rice and gravy, and mine with mashed potatoes and gravy. DELICIOUS and tender. The server was new and needed a bit more training. She tried her best, but was not even certain if they had draft beer. We stopped going to your restaurant over a year ago. I like the owner. She is very nice. However, you need to hire a real chef who actually graduated from a chef school. The food you serve had gone down substantially from when we first went when you opened. AND THE PLACE IS TOO DARN DARK INSIDE! Please, you need some windows or skylights...something that would create a decent atmosphere and not a dank bar persona. This was our second time here and we were very disappointed again. The ambiance is very confusing. Not really understanding the industrial theme if that's what you would call it. The space is too wide open and the booths looked like they were built in someone's garage. I ordered the prime rib and was highly disappointed. The waitress didn't even know the menu and had to go ask someone several times while we were ordering. She didn't know the prime rib came with 2 sides or ask me how I would like it cooked (medium). She took well over 10 minutes to inform us that they were out of the potato soup we ordered. When my prime rib came out it was overcooked and even looked charbroiled around the edges. It was also not hot but more like lukewarm. I keep hoping to find a reliable restaurant in the area where we can get good food on a consistent basis but that is not happening. What's the best way for a business owner to see my review? Leave it on everything from Yelp to facebook right? Well here goes nothing: Riley's in rincon I have just a few things to say. Today is Tuesday September the 29th and at around 7pm I called ahead and made a to-go order, I was greeted on the telephone by a bartender whose name escapes me. I ordered 13 wings for a reasonable price, I asked for them to be all flats and extra crispy, I also ordered a side of french fries and extra blue cheese dressing. I was told that there would be an upcharge for all flats (I obliged) and that it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Due to the hold I received on the telephone prior to ordering I assumed the resteraunt was busy so I gave it 25 minutes before I left the house. I arrived at what used to be Alibis and is now Riley's. Riley's was not at all busy. The interior was newly remodeled, the open space looked to flow well for high volume nights and the decor was minimal but not ugly, parhaps a bit bland. Following the sign to the right of the entrance I walked to the bar to pick up my to-go order. The bartender who greeted me on the telephone could tell by my body language that I was indeed 'Tyler' looking for his togo order. She was very pleasant and I enjoyed what little service a to-go order customer entails. My food was not yet ready she explained and that it would be out in just a few minutes. No big deal. I'll wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. 47 minutes of waiting to be exact and heres why. For whatever reason someone in your kitchen is extremely slow and not at all equiped with the skills for the job he's performing and heres how I know this. A BoH employee happened to come to the bar to conversate with the bartender while I was waiting and I heard him say "I can't believe he's this slow, but his food looks good" If hes so slow.... Why don't you...? Help? Him? Since I've been waiting for so long. I know he was a BoH employee because after he was done having a conversation with the bartender about how his coworker sucked right in front of me. He then spoke for another few minutes to the gentleman sitting next to me. Interesting that your coworker was having a hard time cooking fast enough but you had time to talk to a few people and hang out. Not professional My wings came out and they were not all flat. After waiting so long and paying extra for that option they NEEDED to be fixed. And they were fixed in only 2 min. This may seem like a good thing but you can't fool me. I worked in SEVERAL kitchens and I know all the tricks. My extra crispy wings were only half extra crispy because in order to fix my wings fast the kitchen either pulled some wings from a sepperate order to fix mine or they flash fried some pre cooked wings for 2 minutes and made mine all flat. HERES THE KICKER After already knowing that my all flats wings were only half extra crispy and I decided to leave with what I had before I had to wait another 20 minutes for it to be fixed the right way I get home and open the box and? I'M MISSING A WING. All that being said the flavor of the sauce was a decent balance of hot sauce and butter. Good spice but not too vinegary, I like that. The fries were cooked fine and they were fresh. The blue cheese was gross. Probably because it tasted like it was sysco brand and it's just your standard not so good blue cheese. I recommend making your own dressings in house. It's not as time consuming as you think it is and sysco really sucks on dressings. One last thing before I finish. Four days ago you posted a collage of some prime rib and fried shrimp on facebook as an advertisement for your newly added prime rib to the menu. I HIGHLY recommend using pictures of your own food because that is not at all what your plates look like. Also try adding some garnish to your plates? Everything on them is brown. Your whole menu is some shade of brown. With the exception of a few sides. Throw a sprig of parsley on there for some eye appeal at the very least. read more

There was only a few people in the restaurant and the service was terrible, could not get a refill and waited over an hour for our food before deciding to leave. On our way out i tried to pay for our sweet teas at the host station and that's when our waitress ran up and accused us of trying to not pay for our drinks and then ended up telling us "you know what just leave" I was shocked to say the least.
