Fried shrimp and fries amazing
Scott A T.

Food was great, we had the Oxtails plate rice and vegetables and the fried shrimp and fries amazing and a beef patty. The service was fast, professional and friendly and they helped us through the menu since we never eaten Caribbean cuisine before. The atmosphere was friendly quiet with good music playing, some seating but mostly take out. Also, my wife had a dizzy spell while ordering and the staff quickly got her a chair before she also fell down. I am very pleased with this restaurant and we will return again soon.

Jerk chicken with rice and beans, cabbage and Mac n cheeses
Mckenzie C.

Best Jamaican and Caribbean food in the area. A very diverse menu. From the oxtail and jerk chicken, to the Mac n cheese and potato salad;even the plantains. The food is never disappointing! Service is always fast and amazing. The staff is very friendly and hospitality. A true and warm, Caribbean atmosphere every visit.

Good Caribbean style food. The large Jerk chicken is huge, so you may get a small unless your appetite is large.

There were plenty of seats and a separate bar area, so it didn't feel cramped at all. The hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Our server, Becky, was great--attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The burgers were a highlight--huge 1/2-lb patties and very good. The Caesar salad was also perfect. Unfortunately, the dynamite sticks were a miss. They're supposed to be similar to a cheese stick, but the breading wasn't good, the center was cold, and the dipping sauce that came with them was equally unappealing. I asked for marinara instead, but it was brought out cold as well. That said, the staff, burgers, salads, drinks, and overall service were all great. For four people, the total was $86, which I thought was very reasonable. Overall, a solid spot with a few items that could use improvement.

I always get the 108 sandwich (aka French dip) with chips + a side of beer cheese. The sandwich is large and loaded with meat and cheese. I love their homemade chips. We walked into Georgia Comfort…read moreKitchen off I-95 on one of those gray, damp Georgia afternoons, and from the first bowl of gumbo, the weather outside stopped mattering entirely. We ordered off the menu rather than the buffet -- though both were available and the buffet looked well-stocked and genuinely tempting. My husband had the Shrimp & Grits: Georgia shrimp over stone-ground grits with andouille sausage, peppers, onions, bacon, and a sherry cream sauce. Rumor had it that was the move, and the rumor was right. The grits alone were the kind you don't stop talking about -- velvety, deeply seasoned, the kind of base that makes everything sitting on top of it taste better than it already is. I went with the fried catfish, a side of mac and cheese, and a bowl of gumbo. Honest take: the catfish itself was good -- the fish was fresh and well-flavored -- but the batter had gone a little soggy, which kept it from landing where it could have. That's the kind of thing that varies by timing, not kitchen quality. The mac and cheese, though, was exactly what you want: cheesy without being gluey, hot all the way through, properly indulgent. And the gumbo -- chicken and sausage, rich and built with patience -- was the best thing on my side of the table. On a rainy afternoon in coastal Georgia, it was exactly right. Then there was the cornbread, served with peach cobbler butter. That detail alone tells you something about how this kitchen thinks. It's not an afterthought. It completed everything around it. I'm not from the South, and I won't pretend to have a lifetime of comparison points. But there's a kind of food that makes you feel like you were born into it anyway -- like your body already knew what it was tasting. That's what happened here. Good for road trippers, families, rainy days, and anyone who needs a real meal after a long stretch of highway. Four stars, with the grits alone pulling hard toward four and a half.

The restaurant was very clean, which I always appreciate. The food was delicious, and the pricing honestly surprised me--in a good way. For four people with drinks, our total came out to $62, which is significantly cheaper than many other burger spots these days. One of my kids ordered a kids cheeseburger meal, and it was a great size for a child. I ordered The Cheesy burger--two patties, three cheese slices, and the bun is flipped inside out. It's definitely unique, and if you're curious, just look at my photo because it speaks for itself. Another person in our group did a custom burger, and everyone agreed the burgers were filling and well-made. The fries were absolutely delicious, and the cook was super nice, which didn't go unnoticed. Now for the not-so-great part. The woman at the front counter who took our order was... not welcoming. No hello, no smile, and honestly she looked like she hated being there. The restaurant wasn't busy at all--we were the only customers--so it wasn't a stress or crowd issue. It felt more like a morale problem than anything else. Because of that, I'm not sure if I'd rush back solely due to the customer service, which is unfortunate because the food itself was really good. If the front-of-house experience matched the quality of the food, this place would be an easy repeat visit.

Ok, this is one of the first places in Savannah where the price matched with the portion. $3.75 for a slider and $1.50 for half tray of fries. Also $1 for a side of ranch, but can't complain it was a big portion of ranch. We ordered just the regular sliders, one without veggies (for me) and one with veggies (for my girlfriend). The patties themselves were flavorful, but it was really just the patty, I barely noticed the bacon. Bacon cut could've been thicker, or another piece of bacon; to make the layers for distinct. My girlfriend said she didn't realize there was bacon, she did enjoy the slider however. The fries were so good. It kind of reminds me of the In-n-Out well-done fries; superrrr crisp. The ranch was really good too, garlicky a little, and thick consistency. The service was fast and nice. We were one of the first people in, so everything moved smoothly. The ambience is very homey feeling, like I'm eating in someone's home - which I enjoyed. I don't like when a burger spot tries to glorify the inside even though they're just burgers. To sum it up: If the slider had a thicker slice of bacon on the burger, not really thick, maybe the thickness of 2 pieces of bacon just to get the difference textures, this would be 5/5.

Do order a slice of lemon to season the fish with, it does need a touch of acid. Sometimes I think there is a conspiracy toward me and fast food places regarding cheese. I love cheese. I just don't like it with chicken and fish! These folks behind the counter weren't very friendly. The young lady who took our order heard walleye sandwich and stopped listening.
