I don't eat a lot of seafood boil but wanted to try it while I was in the area. I visited around noon with one other person on a Thursday and it was fairly empty. The service was a bit slow but we weren't in a rush to go anywhere so we looked at the sea decor and enjoyed the music. We got the lunch special with 3/4 lb head-off shrimp ($11.99) and 3/4 lb green mussels ($9.50) with Cajun seasoning. The waitress put it in two separate orders/platters for us so we could get more corn and potatoes! What Happened To Crab du Jour? The service was very lacking. We had to ask the hostess to get our server. After food arrived, she didn't check on us. Really--plastic silverware for dining in? The food was not fast food prices. Food--the pork chop fries were good. However, the clam chowder tasted not homemade and the salad had huge chunks of lettuce. Luckily we got a real knife. Let me preface my review by saying I did not try the food. When I arrived with 2 other people we were greeted by the hostess and taken to our seat. As im walking to our booth I realize how sticky the floor is. I can feel the slight resistance as I walk and I can hear the stickiness. Before ordering I visit the bathroom and it smelled like a sewage plant. I'm not sure if it was the pipes but it was very unappetizing. When I go to wash my hands there is no soap. In either dispenser. Now I'm annoyed because including my party there were only 2 other booths occupied so not too busy to maintain soap in the bathroom. I return to my group and the waitress comes over and she was not personable at all. It very much seemed like waiting on us was an inconvenience for her. After ordering drinks we asked for a few minutes to look over the menu. Our waitress comes back and asks if we're ready to order and we say no we're still looking. She lets out a deep sigh and walks off. At that point my group and I decided to leave and go somewhere else. My visit was very disappointing and I'm willing to chalk it up to a bad day all around but I have no intention on trying this place out anytime soon. Crab Du Jour doesn't even stand amongst the top 5 or 10 for me. The flavor of their boils are mid at best and the service lacked the same seasoning. We waited for awhile for our server, she gave us dirty straws (like how is that possible) we asked different people for the things we needed because our server was in the bar, then in every corner talking to her coworkers. They opened in a large mall, convenient location. This may have been a former Macaroni Grill, since they still have the same men's bathroom door. The decor is loud and screams seafood, there's no mistaking what kind of food they offer! Although they are called "Restaurant and Bar", they still haven't received their liquor license and thus only serve soft drinks. I wish I had known that, there's no signage warning the unsuspecting drop-in. Apparently their specialty is the bagged and seasoned seafood combinations, which I did not feel like having. It seems everyone else there ordered that specialty, and everyone seemed happy with it. Instead I had the appetizer-sized crabcakes, and a dozen steamed oysters with lemon pepper sauce. The crabcake was nicely crispy on the outside, tender with good crab taste on the inside. I liked the sauce that came with it. I originally asked for raw oysters, but was told they don't have it. Just like the alcohol, it seems that after a month of being open they cannot meet their own expectations. I was pleasantly surprised at how large each oyster was, they come in the shell and steamed in the sauce. The sauce was a little salty, but I liked the lemony and peppery flavor. Hopefully as they progress, they will actually become a bar... or remove that moniker from their name. read more

Was in the area and figured let's try this place. Normally I research and do 4-5 star reviews but it was getting late and wanted something to eat. Upon walking in person at the front noticed us but continued to go about her business without any acknowledgment, ok so we seated ourselves. It wasn't busy I'm assuming because it's a Wednesday, who knows. Our waiter wasn't the most sociable but that's ok we ordered our food and to me it was mediocre and seemed typical of fast food with a bar in it. Worst service I've had in Savannah. Waited 5-10 minutes to be sat when it's not busy at all. Finally get sat takes another 10 minutes for anyone to realize I'm there. Finally get to order and I order crab legs and shrimp. I get my food, and I don't get any kind of silver wear or bucket to throw the trash in from the legs and shrimp untill about 5 minutes after I get my food. By the time I started eating the crab legs were COLD! Why is the service so bad when all the workers are sitting at tables on their phones watching videos?? And the place ain't even busy. I was recommended to come to the restaurant by a friend. But honestly we came in there was no one at the door. So we sat down on the bench and waited to someone to come up and greet us. My wife when to the bathroom and told me there was a bad smell in there. When we finally got a table, as we were looking at the menu, we notice cockroaches walking around the table. So we asked to speak with a manager. She never gave us her name. But I asked some employees, I think it was something with T here name. I'm not sure. Overall, music was great food was a little greasy and the boil was a little bit overrated on flavor. My wife feels sick after eating the boil seafood. But what i don't like was my server always disappeared we asked if it was possible to pay. I think it was another manager that helped us pay our bill. So we can leave because we were tired of waiting for our server to show up. I am very disappointed. I will never recommend this place to no one. I recommend the Crab cakes sliders, Oyster Sliders, Seafood Pasta, Top Crab Wings and Regular and Sweet Potato fries. I have not tried any of their bags so I can't rate those. For the most part I have received good service on my visits sometimes it can be hectic when they are busy. I have never had to send food back and its always fresh, hot and tasty! Honestly I would have given them another star if the reception would have been better. Came at 630pm and the restaurant was almost empty but the receptionist seemed confused we were there and said we would need to wait on a table... weird. Anyway I got the Combo D with old bay and it was pretty epic. I added sausage and didn't regret it. Plenty of food, spice, flavor and broth. The lobster was a bit over cooked. Visited this restaurant with two families on vacation. We saw yelp rating with a high score and decided it would be a great place to try. 80% of restaurant was empty. The hostess noted that it would be 15-20min wait, which was confusing since restaurant was mostly empty. We would have understood if they just told us they were too busy and could not accommodate. But hostess assured she would text when they were ready. We gave them benefit of the doubt and shopped at barnes and noble. I went to check 15 mins later and no one was at the front and cared to even ask anything. Never received a text either, luckily la parilla next door is more than happy to serve my party. Let's get right into it ! first of all I did not expect a place attached to the mall atmosphere to be so down to earth ,as of forgetting I'm still at the mall... We walked in with the kids and got greeted right away we were escorted to our table and passed a DJ to top it off it was karaoke night as well the kids had a ball and we laughed and food was awesome I just wished for more things on the menu.....the food was good but a lil expensive.....The drinks are strong with ice filled to the rim!!!!! It was different I will be going back ....The only complaint,I ordered the seafood pasta it was dry and it wasn't really a seafood pasta it was more so a rich shrimp scampi in a Cajun butter sauce......However the shrimp are wild caught nothing is farm raised and the fried shrimp basket is filled with large shrimp with a great batter.......My apologies I could not take pics my phone was on 3precent lol but go and enjoy !! read more

My family and I came here for dinner and the seafood bags were delicious! The hostess greeted us when we walked in and seated us right away. Everyone ordered beers except me. I decided to order the special cocktail they had for $5 and it was promoted on a chalkboard when you walk in. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy it at all. My family all ordered Combo C which was a lobster tail, shrimp head off and snow crab legs. My mom ordered it with the garlic butter sauce and really enjoyed it! My husband and dad got the Cajun sauce with either medium or mild spice and they enjoyed it as well. I ordered green mussels and shrimp with the head off with the Cajun sauce and a medium spice and it was delicious! Although when we received our food, we were not given the bucket that holds all the items you need to have before you eat a seafood bags. The food runner realized this and brought us a bucket which we we appreciated! Also the hostess brought us one as well! The inside is not huge, but it is a good size restaurant!
