Our breakfasts were absolutely delicious, but what really made the experience was the incredible service and kindness of the staff. Miss Harrison's daughter was especially sweet. I asked her to surprise me with a treat from the bakery, and instead she brought me THREE to try--their staple monkey bread, a chocolate chip cookie, and a carrot cake muffin--and only charged me for one because she wanted me to experience them all. Such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture! Everything felt fresh, homemade, and made with care, and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. Between the amazing breakfast, delicious pastries, great coffee, and genuinely wonderful service, it was the perfect little find to end our weekend in Palisade. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, and our water glasses sat empty long enough that we finally had to ask another server for refills. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn't the level of service you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. One thing to know before you go--the prices are on the higher side. My burger and Parmesan fries were around $33, so this isn't your average burger joint. That said, the quality of the food helps justify the price.
