    Same beer (LOL)

Below average night at The Tap. Server was sweet, but often disappeared completely for long periods of time. They were not busy and had plenty of staff. We never received our actual entrée which were the sliders and to top it all off, my wife was overcharged for her beer and then told that it was the same as the beer one of our friends at our table was drinking and as you can see in the picture they're not even close. And, as others have pointed out this place is about 50% more expensive than it deserves to be.

I know the picture sucks, but the pizza was worse. It was about 5 minutes under cooked. I have no idea how they took it out and thought it was done. Grab a drink here and eat at a Purdue place that is known for good food.

Had a great lunch! Caroline was so attentive and we just kept throwing questions at her. We so appreciated the GREAT service, delicious food (FRIES WERE AMAZING- note: GET THE BEER CHEESE), and beer selection. We have been wanting to try Purple Haze- Abita- and they had it! Thank you! And Caroline ROCKS! Would have sat and drank MUCH MORE beer- but- alas- it's only noon

An odd mix of extremely high prices, some beers are twelve bucks for a tiny glass, a tiny slice of cake is ten, need a basic burger and fries try twenty dollars after tip, and completely mismanaged staff; over fifty visits for trivia we had delightful and appalling waiters every other Tuesday. One of my friends worked here for a couple months and reported the entire setup is run over by no clear direction from too many opinions, it shows. The drunk campus quality wouldn't be surprising or frustrating considering Harry's is just as crazy except for how easy it is to reach fifty on just two basic drinks and a meal. Harry's and Brothers and even Buffalo Wild Wings make The Tap look like smug rich digs however one second changes that with the extremely noisy and audio assaulting indoor atmosphere. It makes for an unusual place to host trivia where we not only have to speak directly into the ears of our group to discuss the questions but also to our waiters when ordering. Seems to be a bunch of management and owners here who only ever discuss what they want for this place through emails because the lack of consistency and oversight is hilarious for a campus hotspot. Any other place especially Town & Gown, Red Seven, AJs, and even Applebees are entirely more enjoyable, consistent, easier on the wallet, and providing a better atmosphere. It is a disappointment because the massive draft selection on tap, burgers of the month are huge winners, and gathering a large group for trivia once a week should be the makings of a local hot hit! But after a year of weekly trivia, seeing the insane prices on basic average food items like the apps, desserts, beers, while getting no consistency, has run over all the fun fantastic outdoor seating, big beer menu, and incredible burgers. The Tap is more like The Crap.

A fantastic selection of beer! We have been here several times over the past year and a half and they always have new beers on the menu that they must be rotating through. I think this visit I tried the Dragon's Milk, which is a milk stout, and it was wonderful. Very dark and rich. The food is also good! This angus slider is the best thing I've had from here! Lots of flavors happening all at once, especially if you drizzle a bit of the aioli on the burger...yum! The atmosphere is a lot of fun with the decor and music, but it may be difficult to find a table for more than 6 people, especially if they're busy. Most of the table only sit 4-6 people it looked like. They also have live music here but we haven't been able to make it yet, sounds like a lot of fun though! Great place for beer and burgers with friends after work!

The food was fresh and came out timely even though I came on a busy day during a football game. The apple pie slushie sounded questionable to me but it tasted amazing they definitely got the apple pie flavor into a drink. The shareable tap fries were my favorite they came out very hot and all the sauces were very good. The burger was also good and fresh. Food is on the pricey side but it was worth it. I will be going back multiple times even for just some fries and some drinks.

This is a hidden gem!!! Such an adorable outside venue!! Our server was so funny and friendly!…read more And, the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Super delicious! Tried this place again and had an improved experience:…read more PROS: +appreciate the repurposed school building and their chosen decor that is focused on the highlighting the building's history +our server, Bradley, was very pleasant and hardworking +like the Baked White Bean Hummus ($14), which is served warm with hot pita bread triangles +really enjoyed the Greek Goddess Salad ($17), especially the fried olives and crispy checkpeas +love the fries ($3.50), which were a generous portion size and tasted awesome with their natural cut and however they prepare them +the Belgiumnasium 18 Mo Boubon Barrel-Aged Quadrupel ($1 / oz) is dangerously good and one of the best beers I have had CONS: -awkward, tight table spacing placed my wife and I in a table tucked somewhat inside a brick cove of the small room in the northwest part of the building with our neighboring table perpendicularly against our own (and they were tight on their other side to the next table and so forth) -no buffer on the exterior northwest door meant cold air shot through each time someone entered via that door and made things chilly -wife asked for mustard for our fries and then noticed we were charged $1 for the sauce container they provided -they were out of the 1st beer I was interested in (bit it worked out since I loved the 2nd choice I went with) -price point seems a little high for a decent bit of their food options OVERALL We are pescetarian, so that limits our menu options. However, each of the items we ordered had excellent flavor. I would come back again purely for the fries and beer. Might need to scout the table options in order to identify where we would prefer to be seated for a more comfortable dining experience.
