Super friendly server from West Lafayette. I forgot her name. She was terrific and informative about Purdue and Fair Oak Farms. The food was very good. The beer list was huge. Under 21 is allowed until 8:30 pm. read more

Our server Miguel was fantastic!! Great food and a great time for the Purdue game even when busy:)

Absolutely loved the food here! I try to eat 1 to 2 burgers every day so I know a good burger, and this place has it. The atmosphere is great with tons of Purdue fans coming in before the basketball game to grab a bite. My server Reno was awesome and made us feel right at home. Would be a 5 star review if they had Miller on draft, I'll definitely be back though! read more

The Tap - Brewpubs Near Me - West Lafayette, Indiana

Good food and even better service. they also have a wide selection of beer on tap. You will not be disappointed in the craft beer selection. It was an inviting place and we enjoyed our visit. Our server was attentive and friendly. read more

It's an ok spot considering the options. Big sports bar, ton of beers, staple for locals. Been here three of four times and am more disappointed by the food every time. Their pizzas are undercooked. Well done means nothing. Smothered in sauce. Unnecessary given the flavor is good. They must have randoms throwing everything together working a summer job. Lively crowd? Loud? Is what it is. Go to 6th St Dive for a casual bar meal and you'll be happier. read more

Hire more staff! Good food but takes forever to get out of here!!! Ordered the cookie and it took forever to get it. Seems like they forget about you easily. read more

I decided to give the tap third chance. We were greeted by our server quickly. We started by ordering a beer, mixed drink and an appetizer. The appetizer came out quickly. Our server did not seem overwhelmed, the bartender stood behind the bar most of the time with his arms crossed or on his phone. He did not have any customers at the bar at this time. I finally waved down our server to ask about our drinks. She went to "check" on them. They had been sitting at the end of the bar for 10-12 minutes. No apology or acknowledgment for the delay. Had she been busy or the bartender been busy I would have been more ok with the wait. Our food came out, it was hot and tasty. I had to ask for silverware after she brought our food. I want to like The Tap. The food is good but the service has never been good. Shame on me for giving them 3 chances. read more

Can't even say "bad" service because you get NO SERVICE. The place was empty but for two other tables, yet after 15 minutes no one had come to take even our drink order. Employees were standing at the bar talking to each other and didn't acknowledge us at all. read more

Food was not good, app was cold and my sandwich was not good, steak was all pieces and the cheese was thick and lumpy cold, fries undercooked, server was young and was ok not plan to come back read more

We really enjoy the food and drinks but the female bartender with dark hair is slow, inattentive, and seems lost for the most part. The 23rd was our second time with her serving us and I'm honestly not willing to come back. It's not just bad service. It's as if there is a total absence of awareness that there are customers. Whether it's lack of training, management, or something else, they really need to figure this out. read more

Some people complain about the service, but I have never had an issue. The food has always been amazing.

The salads here are so flavorful and unique! One time we went and it was so packed it took forever to get our food and drinks, the other time was super fast! Just depends on how busy they are. Very cool fresh vibe inside, fun to do the trivia live I believe on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday each week! Mostly college students in the area. read more

Great beer selection which is why they get stars. On all 3 of the occasions I've came here you wait 20 minutes to have your order taken and waters brought, then another 20 for drinks to be brought out (no food was ordered either). Servers are often standing around or texting on their phones openly. You have to practically stare them down or shout to get their attention. read more

I'm sitting here at the Tap in West Lafayette for an hour. In that time I've been served one beer. Ordered food about 50 minutes ago and not a sniff of it yet. Tried to order another beer and am still hanging. I will NEVER come back here. And I strongly urge anyone thinking of going here to go somewhere else. The service has got to be the worst I've ever experienced. read more

Good selection of food and brew available. The location is convenient, and the staff is knowledgeable enough to help make a great recommendation based on your pallette. Their trivia format is a bit of a mess, and is way too clunky. If you're going for good food, good drinks, and good people, don't pass this option up! read more

Great people, great food, great atmosphere. Really great to watch the game here. Cole took great care of us.

This is a great option for starting the night at Purdue. A great selection of beers, some of which are their own brews. I'm a diehard for their "Brickyard", but I've truly enjoyed most of their beers. The food is great as well, and the tap fries and/or pretzel are a must because of the delicious beer cheese. The Tap does live music on the weekends and trivia throughout the week, as well as shows local sports. Sometimes the live music or TV broadcast is too loud though and becomes a headache. read more

Charges you top shelf without requesting while also not mentioning that they already charge you gratuity. Multiple common scams employed to just take more of your money. Not worth read more

The food is great and a lot of interesting beers. However the price is high for the amount. The ambiance and service was also good!

Decently staffed. Bad service though. Waited over an hour and a half to order and receive my food. Our waitress, Hannah, didn't understand instructions and had to be repeated several times. Nice bathroom. read more

The waiter attempted to confiscate and snap in half the (REAL) drivers license of a person in our group even after multiple forms of ID were offered (including a passport). We have been coming here for years and this is the most atrocious service I have ever had in town! I hope management will be able to correct this so no one else will have to have the same experience that we did! read more

I have never seen servers forget simple requests so many times. My boyfriend has soap in his drink and it took 30 mins for the server to grab a new drink, and the new drink has soap in it again. We waited 2 hours for our food to arrive and when we asked a waiter if there was any way he could check on how long the food would be, he rolled his eyes and told us "sure." We never got an answer from the waiter. Drinks take 20 minutes to come out each time and I was given the wrong drink. In total, we were at the restaurant for 3 hours since the waiters never come around to ask if you need anything, and the bar and kitchen take forever each time. The manager needs to either hire more staff or shut down parts of the restaurant to prevent more people from coming in. Most unorganized organization ever. read more

Nice beer selection... we had the sliders. Very good. Door says 21+ but that's only after 9pm. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed my experience at The Tap. The food was delectable and scrumptious and the drinks were immaculate. However, my only complaint was the waitress who happened to mess up my order. I think her name was Hanna and I believe she just needed some more training. read more

Very good service! Tori served me and my friends and she was very sweet and funny. Will be coming back!

This was my first visit to Purdue with my family. I did not realize how hard it would be to find a place on campus to enjoy a cold beverage and food with my children along. The Tap allows children before 9pm, and our server was very helpful with ingredient information for my youngest with food allergies. We will be back! read more

The staff is always friendly, but the accuracy of the orders and food consistency is terrible. Sometimes it's good and most times it's really, really bad. My family always orders takeout and its terrible. They either forget food or send the wrong food home. We always give this restaurant a second chance, but have had disappointment the past 4-5 times. Do not recommend. read more

Great food, but online orders are inaccurate. You're better off dining in or picking up your food.

This is the 4th we have visited this establishment in the last 60 days. The service is always average at best . Today we attempted to take a party of 10 there ( 5 adults and 5 kids ) at 1:30 pm . even though they had open space in one portion of the restaurant they refused to seat us there and sat us in an area that could not accommodate the full group . The teenage boys offered to go to the fast food restaurant next door to open up some room for the group . About 3/4 of the way through our meal that included apps, bar drinks and entrees they returned with to go drinks and quietly joined our table to wait for us to finish . The manager abrubtly approach our table and confiscated their sodas without offering them a replacement drink . Overall a very poor experience , I would not recommend this restaurant . read more

Walked in and saw a handful tables, sat myself as no sign not to. Observed several staff members or at least they had staff shirts on, sitting and drinking. Others hanging out with customers. Looked around waiting for some assistance, made eye contact with a few. Only one came over with a menu and glass of water and said let me find the waitress for you. Five minutes later I walked as no one came over. Won't be back. read more

The Tap has a great atmosphere and is the perfect spot to go to dinner with friends. Last time I was there my server Kayley was amazing! She was super helpful in offering food and beer suggestions and even let us sample different beers. Will definitely be going back! read more

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Kennedy Mori is the BEST server at the tap. Ask for her when you go omg you won't regret it! She was so attentive and such a fun waitress. She was engaged, kept us full on drinks while we waited for our food. 10/10 experience. Yummy food and drinks and great atmosphere. read more

The beer selection is excellent! The food is amazing. We haven't eaten a bad meal here. There is outdoor seating and you can bring your dog along. Nice casual atmosphere. read more

Zack came to our table and asked our orders. I gave it to him and he asked if anyone else needed anything. We said yes and he walked away without taking anyone else's order. He came back with one persons drinks and we told him we had more drinks. He took one other guys order and immediately walked away without taking the other three people's orders. If you want to drink alone, this is the place but don't forget to ask for Zack. read more

Out of town visitor. Went in on. Sunday with family for the "experience" of this fairly new restaurant. Our server was attentive, courteous and was tipped according to her assistance. (20%+). Food was luke warm (toasted sandwiches were at best luke warm, as were the fries). Food seemed to take a while- other tables were served before us & we were there first). It happens. When our food was served 3/4 of us asked for additional beers. 2 in bottles, 1 a draft. And we waited. Waited. Waited. This is a beer "Tap" place. One of us asked the non busy, looking up TV channels bartender what the hold up was. He asked us who our server was and to let them know. Game on dude. Reach into the cooler, grab 2 bottles, pour a small draft and meet at the end of the counter. Talking about being put out over doing your JOB. Serve beers. You have one thing to worry about- serving your customers drinks and beers. Owner: noon on a Sunday. This bar tender was pompous, rude, too busy figuring out what beer he wanted to drink at his private table, the single woman behind the register AND what was on the TV to be in charge of customers. ZERO tip for this jerk. If he's still there if/when I ever return I'm walking out. read more

Stopped by while visiting from out of state and absolutely loved it! The service was great- my servers name was Kayley and she was so friendly and helpful, looking forward to coming back next time I'm in town! read more

The food is impeccable and the servers are very attentive and kind, especially Hanna.

I love going to the tap for great food and drinks. They have a large variety of both and everything I've tried there has been delicious. The service is always great, and my favorite server there so far has been Hanna. She greeted us quickly and made sure we had good service and were comfortable the entire time! read more
