I was staying at an air bnb in the area when I went to pump gas and saw connected to the gas station was The Taco Shop. Let me just tell you right now that this place has been the best find for me in a loooong time. Everything I tasted in this establishment was orgasmically good. The service was very helpful and fast. The lady at the ordering station was very nice and she also was the one who dropped my food off at the table. The Ambiance of the place is pretty chill for it being next to and connected to the gas station. In my photo is a Carne Asada Grande Burrito with Guacamole, Sour Cream, lettuce, tomato and cheese. With every bite came a flavor explosion of the many different items that was in the burrito. The flour tortilla was fried to perfection that with every bite you could hear the light crunch. If I ever go back to Nashville this will be the place I most likely visit first. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to everyone I know! read more

The food was very good and the portion size was generous. The steak was perfect for the burrito, the guacamole was fresh and flavorful, and the shrimp tacos were great. We ordered online and the lunch rush had taken all the tamales so they held the order to see about a substitution resulting in the entire order being built together. Good idea, everything was fresh and hot. It's a "taco shop" so it is not a restaurant but it is clean, comfortable, and spacious dining area with tables. I carried out but several people had dined in for lunch. read more

Connecting right to a gas station. The place got a few Seating for dine in. Not the cleanest a few wipes wipe down is fine. The ToGo quite a bit busy. Stopped in for a few basic tacos and it was satisfying to have a quick bite. Any extra hot sauces and condiments you would need to ask for. But overall a good extensive menu. read more

Amazing Mexican food with great portions! Highly recommend! We tried carne asada tacos, carne asada fajitas, a steak breakfast burrito, and chicken tamales. Everything was fantastic! Can't wait to go back! read more

Looks can definitely be deceiving. The Taco Shop is inside of a gas station, but PLEASE don't let that stop you from giving these guys a chance. I highly recommended the birria pizza. So delicious. And the best part about it is, IF and I said IF because you're going to want to eat it all, but IF you have left overs, they're still just as delicious days later. We go here at least twice a month. It's a must try! read more

The best tacos I've had. Ordered the Mexican loaded fries. In socal we call it carne asada fries. Tastes just like my home. You get ALOT for the price you pay. 10/10 good food. deff recommend for authentic Mexican food. If you want something similar to California street tacos or any foods like that, go here! My man got the birria pizza and I tasted the consume. YUM. I could just drink that by itself! Next time I'll order that by itself. Everything about this restaurant is amazing and authentic Mexican food. This is my go to spot now! read more

I got the birria pizza, pastor taco, and asada taco. All were so good! The birria pizza is huge and thick too. It was great. Their red and green sauce are also yum. read more

Food was mid. It was inside a gas station. The horchata was good. The hot sauce were good and the service was good too.

100% one of the best Mexican-style meals I've had anywhere in middle Tennessee. Y'all are missing out if you think just cause this place is attached to a gas station that it's bad. Cause it most certainly is not! Absolutely WONDERFUL food, freshly prepared, seasoned, and cooked to perfection! The frijoles (beans) were tender and seasoned amazingly. The arroz (rice) was light, fluffy, not overcooked or hard at all, super fresh, and whatever seasonings or flavors they were able to get into that rice made it some of, if not the very BEST Mexican style rice I've ever had - anywhere. The tacos were all spectacular. We got a chorizo, al pastor, carne asada, and quesabirria. My favorite was actually the chorizo! The quesabirria was fantastic also, but their consommé (au jus like dipping sauce) had SO MUCH FLAVOR! All the tacos were fantastic, and ultimately, we'll be back over and over again! Wonderful friendly service also! Thanks Taco Shop! Y'all are awesome! read more

First time trying The Taco Shop and not sure if it may be my last. My family and I stopped by on a Wednesday morning and surprisingly they were pretty busy. They do have good reviews so I guess we should have expected it. My sister and her husband placed their order with the cashier before my husband and I. But it wasn't until I was ordering that I heard a man in the back let the cashier know to tell us all it would be a 30 minute wait for all orders since they were backed up. They were also out of beans, rice and horchata on the day we visited which was a shocker because they're a Mexican fast food spot and those 3 items are pretty standard. Nonetheless, we had no choice but to wait anyways since my sister and her husband already had to wait the 30 minutes also. I got the birria tacos and the green salsa tamales with chicken and peppers. My husband tried their quesadilla and the red salsa tamales with chicken and peppers. Honestly the flavor was a bit lacking in their food. The tacos were ok but i actually preferred them with the green or red salsa rather than the consume sauce it comes with. They were very greasy also, a little off putting. The tamales were dry and the chicken had a rubbery texture to them. Probably wouldn't recommend this place or come back. Unfortunately the food was not worth the 30 minute wait. Myself, my husband and my sister's husband all agreed the food wasn't that good and we didn't plan on visiting again. read more

Great spot with great prices and they don't skimp on the portion sizes. The service was great too. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Definitely a hole in the wall place that we would visit again with my family! Loved that the green salsa and rajas tamale were spicy! It's hard to find that nowadays. The asada street tacos were seasoned to perfection. read more

This is the best non-pizza "pizza" I've ever had! The Taco Shop opened back in August 2024 and they are sure making a name for themselves. They have counter service and several tables. They sell bottled soda or you can go to the gas station side and purchase fountain drinks. This was my first visit and ordered the Pizza Birria...delicious Birria meat with cheese nestled between two tortillas, grilled, PLUS the all-important consommé for dipping. The pizza without the dip is really, really good. The meat has wonderful flavor and the cheese keeps everything together between the tortillas. Once you dip into the consommé you just elevated the pie to incredible! The consommé is very rich with a light kick and complements the pizza extremely well. Counter service was great, fast, and the food...delicious! NOTE: They also sell homemade Tamales and they have Birria Tacos and Quesabirria Tacos. I for one will be keeping my eyes open for their Birria Ramen...my oh my. read more

I've been wanting to try this spot because I've been wanting to try their pizza Birria. It was huge, and well worth the price! It's definitely enough to share with a few people. You pretty much just walk up to the counter, and place your order. The tech time was pretty quick. It came with consome you can dip in. I felt the flavors were pretty there. Food was not bland. In all, I did not have a bad experience and would be back. read more

I love Mexican food and some of my favorites are good tamales and Birria tacos! They have them both here but what's different here vs all other Mexican restaurants is that they have a pizza Birria! I absolutely love the Pizza Birria here! It's one of my favorites that I could never get tired of! The beef is so flavorful and the consome is very flavorful! Their street tacos are also delicious and the tamales are delicious too! I love their green salsa but did not care for their red salsa as much, it was a bit too smokey for me. If you love Birria tacos, street tacos, and/or tamales, this is your go to place! read more

I ordered a torta here and it was like $12. I thought a bit much for gas station Mexican. I can say it was pretty darn good. Top notch. It was huge. Two meals portion. The bread was fresh. Tons of meat and toppings. They had chicken tenders for the kids. I'd definitely return. read more

Y'all.... Their birria pizza is no joke. One feeds three people, unless you can't stop eating it because it is so good. So go ahead and order two. Make sure to get the consommé with them because the Alambre pizza does not come with consommé. Guacamole, cheese dip, and pico were on point. Salsa kind of tastes like canned and not restaurant style, but that absolutely does NOT matter. Bonus.... Warm up leftover pizza in air fryer next day (chef's kiss). Will definitely drive 25 minutes to get their pizza at least twice a month. And yes, location inside of the gas station is kind of weird. But let's be honest, some of the best food we can eat are in random hole in the walls. read more

The Birria Tacos (pictured) have so much flavor! My husband said his chicken burrito was ok the green chicken tamale fell apart as soon as I opened it and the chicken was dry but the flavors were good. The red chicken tamale wasn't so good and looks terrible. I like crispy carnitas but the carnitas taco was dry. read more

I ordered the chicken tamale and the beef chimichanga. The rice was a little dry but everything else was amazing. Large portions and as close to real Mexican food as I have ever had in Tn. THE TACO SHOP! Hands down, best in the Boro! Everything was fire! we ordered an Al pastor burrito. We'd love to see a super burrito option that includes sliced avocado and sour cream as well as a Cali style option that includes sliced avocado, sour cream and crinkle cut fries. Flavor wise it was really good. Me, my mom and youngest son all had the shredded beef chimichangas plates which were delicious and HUGE! By far the biggest, fluffiest and most delicious chimichangas I've ever had. We could only eat 1/2. My oldest had a chicken and cheese quesadilla and he said it was perfect. No frill just delicious seasoned chicken and gooey cheese. He loved the white cheese sauce for dipping, I gave him mine. We ordered asada and al pastor street tacos which were great, love that the meat had flavor and no gristle, and chip and guacamole which were perfection. Overall top tier and delicious! Even as a to go order w/ 30 min drive home. Well done we'll be coming back! read more

I would rate this place a negative 10 if I could. Today I placed an order for hard shell tacos via UberEats. The restaurant disabled the option to make any special requests, so I called restaurant immediately. I spoke with a rude man who said the order had already been made. However, the driver had not picked up the tacos. I asked if all the toppings were in the taco shells and he confirmed they were indeed packed with all the toppings. I advised him that by the time the order arrived to me, the tacos would be soggy. He said, "yes, ma'am that is the way we pack them and we are very busy. You should have called sooner." I advised him that I JUST PLACED the order, not even a full minute ago. He then pivots and says that I should have made the request on UberEats. I told him that the feature was disabled. He replied that the order is already packed, and they are very busy. I will never purchase any food from this restaurant, and I will let all of my family and friends know about my experience. Ten thumbs down!! And to the man who answered the phone, if you are the owner of this establishment, you have no business being in the food business. And to the owner, you should be aware of how your employees treat first-time customers. read more

This is a little hidden gem! We don't normally get food from a gas station restaurant but wanted to give it try. I had the birria tacos and my husband had chicken quesadilla. So my husband and I really wanted to try this place and we ended up going during the tornado watch on Saturday but the food was definitely worth it! We got two birria pizzas and they were given to us pretty quick! Although due to the weather we did have to go home immediately but the ambiance looked really nice and I'm sure we would have enjoyed eating our food there! The green and brownish red sauces they give you are really good although the green one is a little spicy but not too bad, it was good enough for me to continue adding to my pizza so , the pizza itself was extremely flavorful and very filling, we ended up finishing one of the boxes on our own and the rest of the family ate the other one, highly recommend!!! You won't be disappointed :) read more
