I've been to this taco place in the "Boro" several times and it's a good place to grab a taco. They make their tortillas fresh every day and the have over 10 different tacos to choose from. The tacos are full size tacos, so 3 tacos would be enough for most people. I think we've tried all of the tacos and the Pork Belly and Grilled Fish Tacos are my personal favorite. Wife likes the Steak Asada and the Birria tacos. They have outdoor umbrella covered tables and they offer Bowls, Burritos, Salads, Nachos, Street Corn, Guacamole, Shrimp Ceviche, Queso, 5 different Salsas and 2 Desserts. Ordered 3 different types of tacos, and 2 bowls. Everything was big portions, fresh and tasted delicious. Shared some elotes which were just fantastic and real roasted on the cob too. Not cheating like a lot of places do with just canned corn and mayo and some cheese and tajin thrown on top. Anybody can do that lol. No this place is legit. Everyone should go here. Bonus also for having Mexican drinks like my favorite tamarind Jarritos and horchata. 3.5 As bizarre as it sounds, I wound up in Murfreesboro by accident. I got the day wrong for an appointment and drove the 45+ minutes* down I24 for no reason. Rather than stew in my bad judgement, I decided to grab dinner from a place that had been on my list for a while. Lookit me, making lemonade from lemons. Thanks to GPS, I was at West 22 in a jiffy. I am always so awed by how much the 'boro has grown. Seeing developments (and traffic!) like this continues to surprise and impress me. Judging by the newness of the build out, I guessed that this area of the 'boro wasn't that established -- yet. For its relative newness, it was packed with cars. Saturday night in early Spring was the place to be, evidently. I walked in to the bright lights and Instagram/accent wall. I must have looked lost because one of the employees greeted me with a smile/laugh and asked if it was my first time. That obvious, huh? I replied that it was and that I was hungry. She suggested I order 3-4 tacos and that's just what I did. After an appropriate wait time, I had my food and I made my way back to Nashville in a car laden with a heavenly aroma. I was 2/4 of my choices. I'll detail them from my least fave to my fave: Carnitas - a generous portion of shredded pork topped with avocado-serrano salsa, cilantro, onions, pickled jalapenos, and lime. Sounds delicious, right? Unfortunately, it was DRY. Like, pork is best when juicy and said juice mixes with the toppings. My meat was a tad wetter than shoe leather. Very disappointing. Actually, at nearly $5, very disappointing. Birria - I am still in search of a middle Tennessee birria taco that makes me sing. Despite smelling great, this combo of beef (quiero cabra), cheese, cilantro, onion, tomatillo sauce, and consommé was only 'meh' in the taste department. The flavors were flat/muddled rather than distinct and vibrant. Again, at just under $5, not what I was expecting. Korean - and maybe that was my mistake. The tacos I enjoyed the most were the least traditional. The Korean taco was a nice blend of smell, sight and taste. Shaved beef, creay sauce, sesame, scallions, shaved carrots, and bbq sauce joined forces to make me take notice. Each bite was, "okay. I see you, Korean taco. I'm going in for another bite." Coco - hands down my favorite. It wasn't even close. I found myself wishing I'd ordered 3 of these (and one Korean). If you come here, order this taco. It will knock your socks off. First off, the tortilla is fried (crunchy!) and cheesy. That in and of itself is a testimony but within that tortilla is adobo marinated beef, cilantro, onions, shaved cabbage, radishes, and charred tomatillo salsa. Ridiculous. Juicy. Packed with flavor. Dynamic mix of textures. Assertive. Bold. Different. This taco made me round up even though I spent over $20 for FOUR tacos 45+ minutes from home. It was *that* good. My sister brought me to this spot and I am so glad she did. I had one shrimp taco and a pizzadilla. She had the Quesabirrilla tacos, and my BIL had the Birrira Ramen. Everything was muy delicioso! We had been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally stopped on a random Tuesday night. There were only 2 other people there. It's not a very big restaurant. You go up to the front to order and then they bring the food to your table. We had a hard time finding a clean table, despite only 2 people being there. The street corn was excellent but I may be guilty of loving mediocre street corn. Everything was fresh and delicious. Most of the individual tacos are $4+. We saw an adjacent table order the $50 taco platter and that appeared to be taco bliss. You couldn't be sad except to have some of it boxed up for later! This place is a little hidden. Honestly I ended up here because it was the only place with less than 30min wait on cinco de mayo. And I'm actually glad I found them. The place has a small indoor seating area. Clean, trendy looking and an outdoors seating area with twinkle hanging lights. They have veggie options which is rare in a Mexican place but truly appreciated. It's definitely family friendly. The tacos are bigger than I would expect but so is the price as well. I took one star off because I couldn't find napkins anywhere and my guacamole was delivered without any. Also, the two steak asada tacos I got were yummy, but they were very wet...the tortilla fell apart almost immediately and then I couldn't find any silverware without asking for it. I would like to give zero stars but that's not an option. They did not give me the food that I PAID for. I ordered one nashville hot taco and one nashville hot chicken and they only gave me the nashville hot chicken and said they wouldn't give me the taco because they put the chicken together. I don't understand why they couldn't have just gave me the tortilla and toppings. I asked for the manager and they said there wasn't any available. Ridiculous and unacceptable behavior by the team.
