I think I've been here before. For a friend's birthday. Recently We had to kill some time before going to gfs parents and I met them for the first time. But before that stopped at Camino. Gf likes this place and I see why. Service was cool the lady was lowkey rushing us but she was patient and kind. Gf got the watcha callit and I got the Hawaii burrito. I could eat Camino every day! They are one of the only places that offer a bowl as an option. I get the traditional bowl( high in protein) with grilled chicken, no rice and add pineapple! Tried this place out the other day for a late lunch and it was pretty empty. Got seated right away and food came out fairly quickly but the food really didn't have much flavor. The ground beef tacos had plenty of meat in them which was good but had zero flavor. My husband and I each got combos that came with a fairly good amount of food for the price. We've been in several times in the last two months since we moved to the area in addition to getting take out a few times and Camino Real is the Real deal! They check all the boxes... great service...check... delicious food and drinks...check... family friendly...check. Not to mention they are fast here! The chips and salsa are brought to your table as you're sitting down. Today our food came out less than 15 minutes after ordering tasting fresh and delicious like always. I'm pretty sure this is my husband's favorite restaurant and the Pollo Charro (spelling?) is his favorite thing on the menu. Prices are also very reasonable especially given the portion size. Just like all good restaurants in the area they do get pretty busy during peak times like Friday night. read more

If I could sum up Caminos in one phrase, it would be "Looks can be Deceiving". The service at Caminos is fine, nothing to write home about, sometimes they'll mess up your order, sometimes they won't. Inside is a little cramped with not much room to walk around the tables. All of the food that they bring out looks fantastic, like they'll be coming out with hot pans steaming as they're setting everything down. As you hear the sizzle of the food your mouth begins to water and your enzymes start preparing to destroy the first bite of juicy steak tacos. Or so you thought... The first bite of your burrito is met with chewy meat and bland sauce, pairing together for one massive disappointment. I got a Hawaiian burrito which looked SCRUMPTIOUS but the taste did not come even close to it's looks. On the bright side their salsa is okay, well, it's mid. So I guess it's not on the bright side, more on the dim side. read more

They charged my card twice for my meal, and despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, they have refused to refund any of it. I've called multiple times and visited in person, but each time I was either ignored or told it would be handled "soon" -- which never happened. This is outright theft. I trusted them with my payment information, and now I'm stuck with double charges and no way to get my money back. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be scammed. The service was terrible, with staff acting like they could care less about the customers. When I tried to address the issue, I was met with rude responses and no attempt to resolve the problem. It's clear they're only interested in taking your money without providing any value in return. Stay far away from this place, or you'll regret it just like I did. read more

This restaurant is a staple in our area and our son's favorite. So, on his birthday we all went there to celebrate. Good food as always, good service as always...that is until the end. My friend had gotten there before us and had a small tab which she paid before moving to another table with our larger party. She paid the tab in full along with a very generous tip. Same waiter served us again for the birthday dinner...large tab, very generous tip. At the end my friend left and we departed shortly after. While walking out the manager and waiter comes out after us saying that first tab was not paid. So we give them the money to cover the tab and then I call my friend to ask because I saw her pay it with my own eyes. She did, and came back to the restaurant to confront the manager about paying the tab twice. The waiter looked away as soon as she walked in and she knew immediately something was not on the up and up. They gave her back the money. That's fine. The point is that waiter ended up getting nearly $100i in tips from us over the course of 2 hours, but obviously didn't think that was enough. it's a shame that someone working at such a reputable establishment that is busy all the time decided to try and scam loyal customers for an extra $35. My husband is sitting here beside me groaning. You see, he's spent 2 hours on and off in the bathroom... and well, you can imagine what he's been doing. I chose this restaurant because it's one of the most highly rated Mexican in Murfreesboro, where we just moved. It's on the corner of my neighborhood entrance. We just moved from California and my husband has been missing good Mexican. When we were being led to the table, I looked around and knew that it was a bad idea to eat here. The tired and confused decor, groups of staff sitting around, and just general miasma of a Chef Ramsey worthy extreme makeover started to give me anxiety. We were sat in a booth. Plastic, ripped, definitely 20 years old. But whatever, it's about the food, right? I opened the menu and looked at my husband with dismay. I pointed out the macaroni and cheese photo, items featuring bacon and ham, and fact that it was 5 pages long, and ripped and sticky. I wished I had paid more attention to the flashing warning signs. Stop now! U-turn out the door warranted! After studying the menu for 20 minutes, looking for something that I thought would be the least likely to kill me, I ordered a cheese quesadilla and cheese enchilada. I got up to use the bathroom before the food came. There were two stalls. 1 was in use. I walked into the other and... gasp... it's full of human feces WITH FLIES. I backed out, gagging, and waited for the other stall to become available. Watching the flies buzzing around the paper towel disposal at the restroom entrance was additional torture for my already broken psyche. I finally ended up heading out of the bathroom where I told the 4 young girls lounging around the host stand about the feces in the toilet. Literally all looked at me with dead eyes and without surprise. Not one replied. Nothing. I got the feeling it was a pretty typical claim by customers. Either that, or they just completely lack empathy for another human who just experienced a nightmare in a restaurant restroom. I wondered why a restaurant with literally FIFTEEN employees sitting around in groups would have a filthy bathroom. Back at the table and the food has arrived. IT LOOKED LIKE FOOD POISONING WAITING TO HAPPEN. I asked my husband if he really felt comfortable eating his shredded beef. He said he would just "dress it up" with the fire salsa he requested. BAD IDEA. Now we're sitting here with my husband in agony and me wondering if we're going to end up taking a trip to the hospital. We didn't get Montezuma's revenge during our 8 day Mexico trip. Or maybe the revenge was just delayed until now. Either way, half our weekend is now shot, as is my bathroom and husband's internal biosphere. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

This Camino is one of the better ones in town, but it's still hit or miss. Sometimes it's fire. Sometimes it's mush. We did take out chimichangas today and cheesy rice. Their burrito real and crunchy tacos are the best. The a la carte menu has good bang for the buck. Attended a birthday celebration at Camino Real. I used to visit other locations frequently but it has been awhile. What I like about Camino Real is they prepare and serve really good (although a bit "Americanized") Mexican foods. I decided to try the Arandas Special which includes grilled sirloin, grilled chicken breast and chorizo sausage that they top with grilled onions and the white queso cheese sauce. The sides for this dish is rice, beans, and tortillas. Overall...a very good dish and the flavors are well balanced. The only issue I had was that the chicken was a bit overdone and "hard" while the steak was medium. The chorizo sausage had great flavors and I would love to try it with an egg dish too. We had 20 people at the celebration and the servers did a great job keeping everything moving. Good quality Mexican food and solid service. read more
