The food was so good. We had the street corn and chips to share . The cajun chicken pasta was so good. The burger was so so good. The chicken tenders were also very good. The ambience is 10 out of 10. Beautiful decor very well done! The outside area was super nice, can't wait for Spring to take advantage of that! My only small bother was that the parking lot was too small for the amount of people that were there and we did have to park around the back where there's no street lights, it was kind of creepy and not in the best part of town to be in an unlit area alone. read more

Interesting service model: wait in line, order and pay, pick your own table from those marked "Spoken For". Fix your own beverage (but they forgot to give us glasses). Upscale atmosphere, my meal was delicious but my two dining partners were unimpressed. Walkup ordering and paying immediately meant tipping prior to being seated, served and eating, which was a little off-putting. Hopefully this ensures tips are shared. Limited menu not an issue but not really unique items. I did like being able to leave when we wanted instead of having to wait for the check. It's a mixed bag. Restrooms were over the top with elaborate fixtures, definitely fun. Parking lot was awkward and extremely limited, we parked in an adjacent lot and walked through an unpaved section while hoping we wouldn't be ticketed. Prices were reasonable. Hopefully this restaurant will listen to the clientele and succeed, it's got potential! read more

We are so lucky to have this new gem of a restaurant in Springfield!!! This building is gorgeous and the food is delicious. I am giving it five stars because I want us to have nice things in Springfield and I believe with just a little time it will fill in to the five star review. The positives is that the ambiance is amazing...we walked in on a chilly day and the fire was roaring. The staff was so pleasant and friendly. The menu is interesting, beautifully presented, and came out fairly quickly. The negatives which could be personal preference is that the space is so gorgeous it really deserves to be full service instead of counter service, they serve cocktails so why not have a little bar to sit at, and the salad portions are very small and we were still hungry after eating but the chicken strip meal our daughter ordered was huge so we were thankful she shared. I will know next time to order something else on the side. The salads were absolutely delicious...I just wanted more!!! The chicken strips and crinkle fries with sauce were homemade and amazing. Looking forward to going back when things aren't so crazy. They put a sign up outside the door when they are at capacity but no one is out there to enforce it so people just walk in and stand in line anyways. Standing in line for ten minutes to order like a fast food restaurant self serve drink, the staff was friendly but after receiving my food they did come by to see how the food was which was good the seasoning on my steak was a little spicy to me, didn't see any one else. Tried The Table with high hopes. My group was very excited by the social media promotion of this establishment. The ambience is great! It's beautiful inside, and the music was nice. I felt like there were many good food choices on the menu. We ordered, and very shortly after got our food (quicker than you would think for what we ordered). It was apparent after one bite that the food was lukewarm. Not just one food item we ordered, but all of it. I ate despite that, and kept getting hard rice from the harvest bowl. The steak was also hard to chew. Overall I liked the flavor, it just seemed like our food wasn't made fresh. Much of what I would expect if I reheated food from the night before with the quality. That was disappointing. There is a chance I might come back and try the breakfast menu, hopefully it would be freshly made. read more

Service is good, but certainly has a cafeteria vibe when it comes to ordering. The ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant makes it a "should give it a try" feel. I've been twice and got The Harvest Bowl and then the second time The Table Bowl. Both were very good and I'd recommend. The Street Corn Dip was very good too. My wife got the Cajun Chicken Pasta both times and we both really like it (she let me try it). But I must say, the menu is a bit "all over the place". I mean it has a healthy food option with the bowls, but then there's also Cajun themed and Tex-Mex items on it too ‍! I recently watched a YouTube short of Anthony Bourdain (my foodie idol!!! RIP ) who said one of the things he looks for when critiquing a restaurant is continuity of the menu. I think his example was a menu that has cheeseburgers and spaghetti w/meatballs on it...probably hasn't figured out its food identity yet. That's where I sorta fall on The Table.....Street Tacos on the menu with Cajun Chicken Pasta and Southern Fried Chicken Tenders?!! Weird. We chose this restaurant as a new place for our Joy group (26 ladies) to meet for lunch. It was fabulous! They accommodated us in a beautiful decorated private dining room. The menu was easy to order from and the food was deliciously prepared and served by a very efficient and gracious staff. We will definately plan another event there. read more

The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the decor is farmhouse chic, the location in a grain storage building is so unique and the food is excellent. However, when the restaurant is busy, it's hard to hear your table conversations because the floors are concrete and lots of ceiling space for sound to bounce around. I am 66 with hearing issues so the sound issue is unique to me and the older crowd. If they could muffle the sound it would be awesome. read more

Biscuits and gravy maybe the best I've had in Springfield. Love the way it's spread out, fireplace adds alot. Only thing I didn't like was ordering at the counter, I'm just one of those that wants a cup of coffee while I take time to look over the menu. We walked in while the restaurant was full and stayed to the side to wait for a table to open. A employee told us that it would be around an hour wait. While we were waiting a group left, we walked towards the table. An employee told us that another group who walked in after us could have the table because they were in line while we were standing off to the side. Let's start with ambiance--that would get a 5--the fireplace, decor, and vibe was lovely. The service was also a 5; however, the food I give a 3.5. We ordered the corn dip with chips and got Queso instead, which was disappointing. We also ordered the smash burger and chicken tenderloins and a side of house fries. The burger lacked acid, looking for a pickle at least on the side. The chicken tenders, also, needed more seasoning or at least more acid in the honey mustard dip. I guess I don't expect to pay more than premium to stand in line, have young people not trained for customer service (they don't know anything about mixed cocktails) & nor do they care about giving customers "premium" service but would expect a tip for walking your counter-ordered food to you & place it on a wobbly tiny table (really just a plant stand!) It's amazing how people go into this business thinking they know how to keep it going. I do not see this place staying for more than a year. Newness wears off quickly & it's easy for people to forget about places like this because it's too hard to receive service for more than one or two people. It just reminded me of the self-service at WALMART. Parking is a real joke when it's a ONE-WAY DEAD END! Get a sign folks!! The huge fireplace was a waste of space & money. You lost at least 3 tables space to make money....isn't that the goal? The chips & dip were good, but then, I was really hungry. Not impressed. Won't return. The food was good, but like a previous review mentioned some of the seating isn't the best for dining. I chose a adirondack chair around slate gas fire place that was turned off at the time. I tried placing my drink on the chair arm, but the chair had no cup holder indents. The drink kept sliding off into my lap if I would let it. I didn't want ants in it from the ground, so I placed it on the slate of the fireplace along with my phone. A lot of my group followed suit with their drinks and trays. Then the fireplace got turn on with our trays and phones on the edges catching the napkins on fire. The manager came out slowly and didn't apologized. She just said they wanted to turn it on if that was alright. One person ask if her wine could be replaced from getting knock off in the frenzy to get clear of the fire and the manager quietly took it and came back with a new glass. I was baffled by how the situation was handled, and think a couple little side tables outside would be a great addition. read more

I cannot tell you about the food because we were not let in the door. There was a sign on a stand that said, "There is no availability. Please wait here for an open table." The wind blew the sign over into my friend's chest. We went inside to get out of the wind and cold and the owner said, "Did you read the sign?" My friend said, "Read it? It hit me in the chest." The owner showed no sign of sympathy or concern for my elderly friend's well-being. She only wanted to know if we read the sign. We decided not to wait in the windy cold but left to find another restaurant. How hard would it have been for the owner to say, "Are you ok? I'm sorry our sign hit you." But she was more concerned with our compliance for staying OUT of her restaurant. read more

I can't give a review of the food or much on the atmosphere of The Table. I can say the building is beautiful and upon entry you are greeted with warmth. It is probably widely known, by now, that they do not accept reservations for groups under 14 (but even at that size you may be told yes or no to reservations), nevertheless, I inquired in 4 separate conversations about how they could accommodate a group of 10. All they would say is, "we don't take reservations". I asked for insight on best day or time that might allow for our group to eat there, and explained it would need to be evening and so we planned according to their feedback. We went in expecting to wait, but what we weren't prepared for was the immediate dismissal due to our party size. He sort of gave a half laugh, as if he thought it was funny that we thought we'd be able to eat there. (Remember, we chose the day and time based off their best advice) We arrived at 5:16 pm and were told the wait would be too long for a group of our size and told to consider a plan b and then the gentleman began offering us suggestions on where we could go. Again, this was the immediate response to our telling them we had a party of 10. There were 6 people ahead of us in line, which he pointed out as an explanation as to why we couldn't be seated for so long. (One would have to wonder if 10 ppl showed up behind us and were seated, you know, since 6 people were ahead of them.) There were several tables open and at their long farmhouse style table there were many seats open. You may ask, could we have chosen to wait? Honestly no, he made it clear in his words and body language that they did not want or need our business and there was no invitation to wait. Again, the immediate invitation was to go somewhere else; "Have you heard of Springfield Brewing Co?", was his first suggestion. I can hear the arguments to this review already and I'm objective enough to recognize that the perception is that I'm leaving some details out here, but no, I'm not. The more I reflect on the encounter last night the more baffled I am, but regardless, this is the FYI I feel compelled to offer: if you want to eat there, go in a small group, be prepared to wait and also be prepared to be dismissed. read more
