The Table is definitely the spot for a delicious bunch in Willow Glen! Came on the weekend and as you would expect there was quite a wait. Luckily it was only 30mins long! Parking is always a tad bit rough, but we were able to snag a spot in the close-by parking garage. Our table shared the bone marrow and all got the bottomless mimosas of course. I ordered the corned beef and got a bite of my friend's chilaquiles. Everything was soo good! I loved the corned beef it was really good, so I would definitely recommend it. Service was great! TL;DR: Impeccable service, absolutely scrumptious, well flavored food which was clearly home made. My lady and I wound up here on New Year's Evening after a long road trip from Lake Tahoe and our previous 2 restaurant choices having closed early - we were so glad to have found this gem, with them being so welcoming to us just 1.5 hours before close. FOOD: Everything was clearly very fresh, homemade and had high quality ingredients. We had the acme bread/olive oil (very fresh, very tasty - even down to the olive oil/ricotta dip), ahi tuna, duck breast and shrimp and herb roasted jumbo prawns. The duck was fresh, had a tasty au jus that eliminated any gameiness flavor, was perfectly crisp on the outside and had potato squares that I wish I could just have more of. The ahi tuna appetizer had a delicious orange zested spicy poke sauce. Nice portion sizes. SERVICE: We had Cory who was friendly, knowledgeable and impressively proactive in filling glasses and drinks before they got too low. All of the staff was genuinely nice, friendly and welcoming. We ate outdoors - beautifully appointed patio, well spaced apart and the heaters were good enough to keep us warm. I'd recommend still bringing jackets in case you are seated on the edge further away from the overhang, which could get cool and breezy. Came here for brunch today, it's a nice place at a nice street corner lot. We sat at the bar side with floor to ceiling glass letting a lot of light in which made the seats enjoyable. They do have an outside area but it was a bit too cold today and rainy to sit outside. Ordered the salmon egg Benedict and the Belgian waffle. The waffle was amazingly soft and warm, went perfect with the cream on top. The fruits that went with it was however a bit disappointing. The Table was a fun spot to have brunch on a Friday morning with 4 of my girlfriends! We got a bottle of the Eden Chardonnay which was really good and then I decided to get a bottomless mimosa to celebrate the weekend ;) The beignets never disappoint ! So tasty I got the farm salad (not pictured) which was a bulit boring for a restaurant salad actually. I had to keep awkwardly ripping and cutting the large pieces of lettuce that seemed to be plucked straight off the lettuce head. I could tell the produce was very fresh though which was great, but the salad seemed to just be missing something .... Maybe could be better with a cheese or something different added to it. My friend liked her strawberry burrata salad that I also tried and liked a lot. We all wanted to eat the scotch egg that looked so good covered in breadcrumbs! ;) The only other let down was my friends poached egg had to be sent back at first because the white of the egg was super runny ! Upon reading the description of the dish it says cooked at 68 degrees, but honestly we all agreed it looked gross before it came back more cooked (as pictured). The table is a great eatery in downtown willow glen, and just an awesome place to chill. They have an outdoor patio to enjoy bottom-less mimosas for brunch during the week and on weekends. For two, we usually get the bone marrow, a breakfast item such as the lemon ricotta pancakes or the chilaquiles breakfast, and an item to share, like the beignets. I ended up getting the smoked salmon and potato rosti- basically a large hashbrown with strips of smoked salmon and an egg in the middle. It was amazing! I love how all the flavors came together and it was just so good. I want to come back and try different items but also order this again LOL. The beignets were also good with the lemon curd dipping sauce! The sweet and tart flavor combo was yummy. The one caveat I have is that their menu items seem to change. Delicious food, but plan ahead for the long wait on a weekend. Their Yelp check in was down, so we had to put our name down once we arrive. We walked around and got a smoothie next door while we waited over an hour. -Wedge & dip - I love potatoes, so this appetizer was perfect to share among the two of us. The onion dip pairs well with the potatoes, so that the potatoes aren't dry. -Bone marrow - There was two big bones with a good amount of marrow in it, and it tasted really good mixed with our pasta. -Pasta bolognese - One of the best pastas I ever had. The pasta isn't heavy or oily, which I love. Each penne was covered it the perfect amount of sauce. Not to mention, the penne was cooked perfectly (not too hard, not too soft). The food here is delicious. It did take us awhile to flag someone down before we can order, so the service was somewhat slow. However, service was extremely friendly. My boyfriend and I came here for our one year a couple weeks ago in early April, and the food and service was great. We made a reservation and got seated in a timely manner, and the hostess talks with each individual group before seating them to reiterate their rules to be safe during COVID (masks on unless you're eating/drinking, time limit at the table, etc.) They give each person a complimentary piece of warm Acme bread, with a saucer of ricotta cheese and olive oil to go along with it (never had that combo before, but it was great.) If you want additional bread, you'd have to pay after the first piece. We got the spring/Easter lamb special, as well as the prime NY steak. Both were absolutely incredible, cooked just the way we requested and was juicy and very well flavored. The steak came with mashed potatoes, while the lamb sat on top of a bed of rice with green spring vegetables. There are heating lamps hung on the roof of the outdoor seating area, and the ambience was great- a slightly upscale but still very casual place. A side note- whoever was in charge of the music that night deserves a big shout out because they played the best hip hop R&B tunes to set the mood. read more

To be honest, the service was great but food disappointed me a bit. My server was very nice. She recommended me the food, came back and forth asking if we are doing okay. Love that. However, I have to say the food was not what I expected though. And also I waited half an hour for the food so I was a little bit sad. #1 the Crab Avocado Toast tasted good. 7/10. Avocado was fresh, the fish roe on top was nice. But crab was little to be found, mostly the egg has dominated the taste. #2 the Salmon Benedicts was disappointed to me though. 4/10. Maybe I did not know much about Benedicts but I was expecting poached eggs and salmon. The white bread was dry and bland, smoked salmon tasted okay, little salty. They do fantastic brunch. It's the best corned beef hash and lemon ricotta pancakes you'll find in San Jose. We love going during the week when it's not busy. On the weekends, it's nearly impossible to get in after 9 or 10. Would love to try their lunch/dinner offerings one day. It was way too overpowering. It ruined the flavor of the beignet. I asked for chocolate but they didn't have any which was a disappointment. The beignets definitely tasted better alone . 2/5 I feel like the prices for brunch aren't up to par with the quality of the food. The garnishments around the fish was good. We ordered the corn beef hash but they ran out and only had duck hash. It was decent but nothing amazing. I think the corn beef hash would have tasted better. I'm not much of a fan of bone marrow but it tasted fine. The bread was pretty burnt. The rueben sandwich was delicious! I highly recommend it. Lovely birthday meal at The Table! Last year, I celebrated my birthday early at The Table and good thing I did because right after that, the COVID shutdown began. Fast forward one year, I was able to celebrate my birthday indoors at The Table, which is something to celebrate about! There is sanitizer at each table and they even have you fill out a form incase they find out if someone gets COVID to contact you. The hostess was also very thorough before you enter into the restaurant to let you know to keep on your mask until you start eating and to make sure to leave your mask on when using the restroom. Great protocol! I appreciate the due diligence. We ordered a scotch egg, potato wedges, and a burger and everything was delightful and on point. The scotch egg is a soft boiled egg wrapped in chorizo and bread crumbs and then deep fried. The arugula salad was nice and fresh and the wedges were the perfect level of saltiness. My husband really enjoyed his burger as well. Service was top notch and my waitress especially was so kind and wonderful and made the meal really enjoyable. To top it off, she surprised me with delicious beignets and lemon curd and a candle! The beignets were super warm and amazing. It's one of those desserts that I will crave because it's just so good. Very friendly service, gave us a rundown of the menu and their own personal recommendations as well. The restaurant is well decorated, lots of natural light shining through! Food is on the pricier end, but it's very good. I had the eggs benedict (very yummy. love their hollandaise sauce). Also got the scotch egg to start off our meal, and it's so good. I came here for dinner last night with a friend. I immediately liked the ambience and decor of the place. We had to wait about 5 minutes for them to clear our table and sanitize the table and seats. We were sat outside and it was very windy but thanks to the space heaters and some enclosures, we didn't mind at all. We both started with cocktails, my friend had the Secret Garden and I had the Rising Sun. Both drinks were absolutely delicious. The rising sun is very sweet and fruity, and secret garden was refreshing and bright. They brought out complimentary bread shortly after, along with a little container of olive oil and some form of very soft butter. The bread was super fresh, very crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. The oil+butter was rich and delicious. We both ordered the tagliatelle pasta and we enjoyed it. I like how they use ingredient combinations on their menu that are unlike anything I've seen before. I can tell their chefs enjoy being creative and coming up with unique flavors. We then ordered two more cocktails, I got the I heard you're a Hipster and she got the Jamaican me crazy. We didn't love these cocktails as much as the first round, I thought my drink had a strong botanical aftertaste that was not my favorite. My friends drink tasted strongly of dark rum which also isn't our favorite, but maybe these drinks just aren't for us. The service was good and the staff was kind and attentive. And I am finally writing a review because on our last visit we ordered from the specials menu and this Japanese Squash soup was outta this world! Their cocktails are creative and delicious! For dinner we're huge fans of the Duck Liver Mousse, Braised Beef Cheeks, Pasta Bolognese and their Burger though a bit on the pricey side is really worth it when I'm craving it. And brunch has bottomless mimosas (I'm not a mimosa fan myself but thought folks might wanna know) Our brunch staples eggs benedict for me and corned beef hash for the hubby. I loved that they let you join the waitlist on yelp, so convenient - the time estimate is not very accurate tho, I joined the waitlist at 11:20 for a table of 3, the estimated time was 12:14 so we got there at 12 but we didn't get seated until 12:40? They really mean it when they say bottomless mimosa - every time my glass was half way gone they would immediately refill it without being asked.
