When I returned the glass containers (admittedly a few months later, but they were returned) I was informed that you have to use their service eight times to get the deposit back. This was the first I heard of it because I would never have agreed. Why would I agreed to use a service for eight times before I even know if I liked it?! Chef Beau said that the policy was explained to me in a "myriad if ways". This is simply not true. He is now refusing to return my $150 deposit even though he has his glass containers back. This is theft of my money as he has his property. It's simple - you charge a deposit for an item, the item gets to return you give back the deposit. Do not use the service!

In the past decade I've tried a variety of personal chefs and other services. We had Christine cook our family years ago when she worked for another company. We really enjoyed her cooking and easygoing, fun personality...and we were super bummed when she moved on. She now has her own business where she cooks for a limited amount of families each week. She charges an hourly fee for her cooking, which I believe is limited to 3 hours/week. And then she charges for the groceries. I've asked her to limit to 4 hours/week and let me know if my requests go over 4 hours. She drops off every Monday and Wednesday and we typically get a breakfast item for the week, 2 entrees on Mondays and then another 2 entrees on Wednesdays. When we used the past service we had everything arrive on Monday and my family was SO sick of it by Wed so this set up works pretty well for us, but i do think most people get just one drop off. We tend to eat the meals for every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) Monday evening-Thursday evening....and then eat out on weekends. I typically provide recipes since I"m picky about what we eat, but Christine also has great ideas and many are kid friendly too! Here's an example of what she's making for us this week (i provided all the recipes): Monday: - Yogurt Chocolate Chip Muffins - ground turkey teriyaki rice bowls - crispy cornflake chicken tenders Wednesday: - mini pesto turkey meatballs with pasta - Sweet Potato Black Bean Enchiladas w/ chicken Christine is a one wo(man) show so fills quickly, but if she's not taking clients and you're looking for a personal chef I highly recommend getting on her waitlist!
