I thought I would try the service for healthier options. When I picked up the food, Chef Beau to me, "we're running low on containers so we charge a deposit." Deposit was $150. I had no issue with that as I'm sure it makes people return the containers. We did not care for the food and chose not to try the service again. When I returned the glass containers (admittedly a few months later, but they were returned) I was informed that you have to use their service eight times to get the deposit back. This was the first I heard of it because I would never have agreed. Why would I agreed to use a service for eight times before I even know if I liked it?! Chef Beau said that the policy was explained to me in a "myriad if ways". This is simply not true. He is now refusing to return my $150 deposit even though he has his glass containers back. This is theft of my money as he has his property. It's simple - you charge a deposit for an item, the item gets to return you give back the deposit. Do not use the service! read more

Chef Beau did a fantastic job of preparing a bbq menu for a 50 person birthday party at my house. He also had a bartender Grace that served drinks all night. Very personal touch by stopping by the house first to see the lay of the land and then giving me menu options to choose between. He arrived early and the whole night went off beautifully. We had bacon wrapped scallops and New Zealand lamb chops for appetizers and salads of candied walnuts, feta and watermelon and another salad along with a fabulous potato salad, Mexican street corn, and jalapeño corn bread. The meats were 2 beef briskets that all got gobbled up and buttery smooth Cubano styled pulled pork with rolls. We had our own deserts a whipped cream cake and my mom's rhubarb and cherry crisp (but I am sure he would have made a hell of a desert if so requested). He also made his organic margaritas that were a big hit. Pretty much everything was organic and gluten free but the flavor did not suffer - I had at least half my guests tell me how awesome the food was and all complimented Chef Beau on his professionalism and fashion sense (crazy pants and all). Every year my girlfriends and I do a Christmas party and this year we decided to change it up a bit after seeing a YouSwoop deal for Beau K. Boy, we could not be more pleased with our night! I was in contact with Chef Bill several times throughout the course of planning the event to discuss menu items, number of guests, vegetarian restrictions, etc. and he was very prompt and detailed in his responses. The menu we selected was delicious! Since we are 25 year old girls, cost was a little bit of an issue with us but Chef Bill worked within our budget and was very polite and resourceful about it. The day of the event Chef Bill showed up with a big smile and was so friendly while preparing the meal. He talked to each guest as they arrived and helped everyone feel comfortable and excited for the food. Before serving each course (4 courses total) he talked to us a little bit about the preparation and interesting details about the food. He really does put pride into each item that he serves. We received a gift certificate for an chef-prepared eight person dinner party (awesome gift idea, btw). Pre-party communications were casual--date confirmed long before and two weeks before we discussed and decided actual menu from three options (tapas with paella). We had a guest who keeps kosher and planning, which chef took into stride easily. Chef arrived about an hour before our guests with most of food prepped, which made it quick and easy. It was lovely to have someone else cooking, the food was spectacular and the kitchen was clean at the end of the evening, which pretty much ticks all of the boxes for effective entertaining. I initially found Chef Beau through his five star reviews on Yelp. I first contacted him to inquire about hiring him for Thanksgiving, but he was unfortunately already booked. After reading all of the positive reviews and speaking with him on the phone, I knew that I definitely wanted to use him in the future. A few months later, I was trying to think of "something different" to celebrate my husband's birthday and I thought about Chef Beau. I booked the date well in advance for a ten person dinner party. Chef Beau mentioned that he has the best servers/bartenders for an additional charge, and assured me that they are well worth the money so I went ahead and had him book that as well. I decided to have Chef Beau prepare a four course meal, and he made a few tweaks here and there when I mentioned that we were going to have some guests who could not have dairy, did not like seafood, is allergic to shellfish, and did not like mushrooms. On the evening of the dinner party, Chef Beau and Grace arrived an hour prior to when I wanted the first course to be served, and it's exactly as he describes on his website. He literally "takes over" your kitchen...and I am so glad that I opted to have Chef Beau bring one of his servers/bartenders. Grace was absolutely wonderful! I actually forgot that I was the hostess as Grace was extremely attentive and kept our glasses full. The dinner was absolutely delicious and the ladies even had leftovers to enjoy the following day. Lastly, I was surprised to find the dishwasher empty after Chef Beau and Grace left. They actually hand washed everything and put it all away! We just had this fabulous dinner party, in the luxury of my our own home, that we and all of our guests enjoyed, and did not have to do any of the cooking or cleaning! Had Chef Beau come to my house for a small dinner party with 4 couples. He prepared a 4 course meal that was absolutely delicious. We chose scallops for our appetizer, a mozzarella and tomato salad, beef tenderloin and sea bass for main course, brussel sprouts and potatoes for sides, and berry cobbler for dessert. Each course was delicious. The sea bass was incredible. He is very professional and personable and even loaded and ran the dishwasher before he left. We had a dinner party for 8 at our home. Chef Eagle prepared an amazing meal with great presentation. Everyone had a great time and was raving about the food for days after the party. It was our first in-home catering experience, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. Chef Eagle was very professional yet fun. He brought everything he needed. Chef Beau is Da Man!!! He helped me put on a top notch event for a dozen friends on the docks at Burnham Harbor. He prepared an unbelievable setup of vegetable strudel (seared eggplant, peppers, squash, onion on parmesan crisp), seared lamb chops, with spicy sweet rub, and steak bites with Bloody Mary dipping sauce. Chef Bill came to my house this past weekend to cook for myself and 8 friends. He was so fun to watch, amazing to talk to (it felt like he was a part of the group!), and the food was delicious! We had the chorizo crusted halibut and it was aaaaaaamazing! It was an added bonus to hear that he also makes everything gluten free! Friends of mine that attended this house dinner had hired a private chef before and said their prior experience was way more expensive and that chef didn't clean up! He was very responsive and his personality indicated that he was the right person for the dinner my husband and I hosted in our home for his 14 work colleagues. I recently had a business agreement with Beau to cater a totally gluten free, free range, cage free, organic, non hormone, antibiotic free affair at my daughters house. None of my requests seemed at all strange but were welcomed by Chef Beau as he is an advocate for healthy eatting. We had a long discussion and compared menu selections and budget issues and dietary constraints (two of the grandchildren have celiac) and I must admit I totally enjoyed our conversation. After about 20 minutes I felt that I had made a good choice and committed to a date and time. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I reluctantly had to cancel Chef Beau and ask for my deposit back. I was really hesitant because he had already invested time and had held the date. Much to my surprise and relief Chef Beau could not possibly have been more understanding and gracious. He seemed pleased to hear from me and remembered the details of our conversation and had no hesitation about giving the deposit back. Chef worked with us to ensure our menu included only free-roaming meat selections as we requested and was flexible to our requests for menu changes (which were not many since we loved all the menu options as they were!). We loved the healthy menu - poached salmon with a citrus sauce, beautiful crisp asparagus, a lovely salad with butternut squash and homemade blood orange dressing, and some creamy risotto. I was planning a surprise engagement taking place at my house and Chef Beau made the night perfect. In trying to plan an 80th birthday party (for 25 guests) for my mother on the North Shore from Boston seemed like a daunting task but from the minute I contacted Chef Beau, the plans fell right in to place. Chef Beau always responded to every one of my panicky, stressed, emails, texts and phone calls with patience and understanding; and always within a few hours at most. He helped me plan the perfect menu, told me what I needed to do in preparation for the party and arrived at my mother's house at the exact time he said he'd be there with his staff. The food was beautifully presented, tasted fabulous and served by warm and caring professionals. And every dish and crystal glass and silverware was washed by hand at the end of the meal. Although I gave the facts about my event and how well it went thanks to the efforts of Beau K Catering above, I would be doing a disservice to this business if I didn't tell about how they went above and beyond the services of a standard caterer. First, I later discovered that Chef Beau replied to my emails without any noticeable delay after having emergency surgery. Then the night before the party, my mother asked if two more of her friends could come to her party. When I reluctantly called Chef Beau to ask him if this was possible, he said it wouldn't be a problem in the most sincere and unannoyed manner. When he and Chef Jen and Grace the server/bartender came to the house, they were so warm and personable, by the end of the evening they felt like family, if not friends with promises made that if they were ever in the Boston area that we'd absolutely make plans to get together. I miss them already. My parents and their guests kept commenting how nice they each were and how delicious the meal was. I was once told that when food is prepared with love in the heart/mind of the cook, the meal is made more delicious because that love is transferred to the food and that's why meals like Thanksgiving dinner always taste so good. We hired Chef Beau for a wine tasting event that we were hosting at our house for approx. 40 people. No detail was overlooked. He initially came to our house to check out the space and get a sense of the atmosphere we were looking to create for the event. Additionally, he worked directly with the winemaker to pair the food with each wine they were pouring. The night of everything went off without a hitch. His staff was excellent and attended to every guests needs. Although we didn't ask, his staff was sensitive to guests with food allergies, sensitivities and aversions. Everyone was pleasant and professional. But perhaps the most important of all was that the food was excellent!!! We loved how all of his ingredients are specifically selected to meet his "Klean" eating philosophy. We had a charcuterie with goat and sheep's cheeses, a tuna appetizer, followed by salmon cakes, mushroom pastry, bacon wrapped scallops and shrimp and lamb chops.
