Nourished Table & Home is a fantastic place and a must-visit if you are in the Hinsdale area! I attended a Lunch & Learn Class on Detoxing Your Home. Lauren and Kathy did an awesome job presenting the material and I learned so much. While we were learning they provided us with a delicious meal. The soup and salad were freshly prepared in the gorgeous kitchen and they tasted amazing! The infused water and tea they provided was refreshing and delicious. Both before and after the class I spent some time upstairs in the boutique where they sell some really unique items. I couldn't resist so I had to pick up a few things. I had a customized body oil and inhaler with essential oils made and both make me smile every time I use them. I just loved the smell of all the handmade soaps and I decided on the charcoal one and I absolutely love it. I honestly loved every item I brought home. There were too many to list so go check out the boutique to see for yourself. You will love it! The best purchase I made was the Cleaning Kit though. The kit contains four items to clean every part of your home. I really love the way it smells and I look forward to cleaning my kitchen and bath now. Something I never thought possible. I am really looking forward to my next visit. I can't wait to attend another class, do more shopping in the boutique and spend time with the wonderful ladies that work there. In late fall, we hosted a chef's demonstration dinner for eight guests at Nourished Table and Home in Hinsdale, IL. The event was planned about a month or so in advance. As hosts, we had input on the menu, timing, wine choices, etc. As guests arrived and socialized for a bit with small appetizers and wine, we eventually took our places around the semi-circular demonstration table. The chef then began cooking our three course meal. She kept all of the guests' interest by describing in some detail ( but not too much detail ) the ingredients and their sources, mixing and preparation techniques, some knife skills, spices and seasonings, cooking times and more. She answered questions as we went along and so the entire night was very interactive...and most important...fun! Oh, and despite reservations about the whole "organic and healthy" way to cook, the food was truly excellent. Here's the bottom line on Nourished Table and Home: if you want to do something different, learn a lot about food and nutrition and cooking, need a new, elegant venue for a small group and do all of the above without ANY of the work, then book a party with your friends or just take a class. I was incredibly skeptical of the whole food, organic way of life but Kathy and Taylor completely changed my mind. After taking a cooking class with Kathy and working one on one with Taylor (doing a nutrition counseling session as well as a grocery store tour) I revamped my pantry and got back in the kitchen and my life is forever changed! With young kids at home I thought it was impossible to cook healthy meals all the time but Kathy showed me how to maximize my time in the kitchen to stretch meals and Taylor showed me how to shop efficiently and also what certain ingredients were doing to my body and my kids bodies (the most important thing to me). I am forever grateful to Kathy for her offerings and have become a regular at lunch n learns and cooking classes. She really wants you to learn more so you can do better and consequently feel better! I have been to the Nourished facility about five times now for their lunch and learn and their interactive dinner demo classes and I cannot say enough good things about them! Taylor, Kathy and Lauren are exceptional! They are a wonderful resource for people who are trying to navigate healthy meals in our busy world! They help you to understand the changing and sometimes confusing health/nutritional information that is in the news today. They make truly tasty meals with simple ingredients and they show you how! They believe in what they do and it shows:) They offer a variety of services and I have met with Taylor who has been a great guide in helping me make some changes to my diet. I feel I have found a great team who are very knowledgeable about nutrition, cooking, and how powerful food can be in taking care of our health. I took my first interactive demo class last week and it did not disappoint. First, the space is absolutely gorgeous! It's open and welcoming with a U shaped table to sit and interact with the chefs. Kathy and Taylor were so knowledgeable and friendly, it made the class interesting and fun! A few people got up to help prep the meal, but it's also okay to sit and enjoy and glass of wine and watch! The food (Taco Tuesday) was delicious and so fresh. It's refreshing to pick up new recipes that are healthy, tasty, and weeknight friendly. They have a shop upstairs and I picked up some of their room spray which smells amazing and have already been spraying it around my house! I would highly recommend taking a class here, they have couples and kids classes too! Can't wait to come back- such a fun new place to go on a date night, girls night, or even solo! read more

I have always been a little skeptical about organic/holistic stuff. I took my first class as a "favor" to a friend - Soups and Stews. We made 3 types of soups - and it was such an enjoyable, educational evening - great fun, food and organic wine, that I signed up for an Aromatherapy workshop. Kathy the owner and Lauren, Shannon and the other lovely and knowledgeable staff make the trip (not too bad) from downtown to Hinsdale well worth it - the appetizers don't hurt either. I can't wait to go back to continue my learning - hopefully there will be an Appetizer class soon. Plus the retail store has the best lotions, candles, potions and essential oils. A friend convinced me to do the 3 day seasonal detox with her at Nourished. It was great. I felt great when I finished and I was so impressed with what they had to say, that I signed up for a "lunch and learn" class. I got so much from the class. The food was amazing and the information they gave you was so helpful. The class was really small and I was able to ask individualized questions. A friend and I attended the Anti-Inflammatory Diet: Eating for Longevity, Vitality and Beauty Lunch and Learn. What a beautiful space, most delicious lunch and fantastic tips for a healthier lifestyle. The delicious soup and roasted cauliflower was nutritional and very filling, refreshing tea and water. I absolutely LOVE Nourished! I just completed the 3-day detox and I can't praise it enough. Not only was the food incredibly delicious and healthy, but it was also super easy to do. The step-by-step instructions and information they provide with the cleanse are really nice and unique. I was able to do it with ease even at work. And the results were obvious!
