We ordered the rattlesnake bites, spoiler alert...it's not actual rattlesnake! Our drinks were great, a Dutchman's Gold and a mixed Sunset drink. Delicious! The fish and chips were fresh and hot. We also ordered some pretzel bites as an appetizer. About 20 minutes later our appetizer finally arrives, and so did the appetizer of the couple next to us that arrived and ordered about 15 minutes after us. About 20 minutes later our food still had not arrived but the couple next to us had already received their food. Finally our server comes to check on us and noticed we still hadn't gotten our food and went to check on it. About 5-10 minutes later my husband and my food finally showed up.. the couple next to us had already finished by then. They brought out our food but not my granddaughters. Who brings out food for the adults before the kids? So she had to sit another 10 minutes before her food was brought out. She did say they were really good but her fries were too spicy for her so they brought some out with no seasoning. Our prime rib sliders were also very good. The manager came out and apologized to us and comped the kids meal. Only problem now was, I was going to use a coupon code for 25.00 off 50.00. With the kids meal taken off our total was just under 50.00 by about 20 cents. I definitely wasn't prepared to pay 50.00 for our lunch. We'll give them another chance as the place was pretty cool. Try it on a Friday or Saturday night to listen to the live music.

This wasn't just a plate or two. It was a considerable amount of dishes. Naturally, I questioned what exactly I was tipping 20% for. I ordered at the counter, had my food brought out, and was then expected to bus my own table. That's a pretty generous tip for what is essentially counter service. What made things even more frustrating was being told by the employee, repeatedly, that the staff doesn't actually receive the tips and that they go to corporate. If that's genuinely the case, management needs to be transparent about that. I have absolutely no problem tipping when good service is provided, and I believe employees deserve to be compensated fairly. But customers shouldn't be expected to tip at full-service restaurant levels while also doing a substantial portion of the work themselves. It's unfortunate because the food really was good. But as much as I enjoyed it, this experience makes me never want to come back. There is no shortage of great food in Scottsdale, and no customer should leave a restaurant feeling like they've paid for service, tipped generously, and still been expected to do the work themselves. Management really needs to rethink this approach. Don't be another restaurant in Scottsdale that comes and goes! Be better!

My review is changing due to the fact that the past 2 times I've gone here, the people who have made my BLT put onions on it. Who puts onions in a BLT? It's not called a BLTO. And the bread has changed drastically. It's not the crispy tasty bread it used to be. It's more soggy and chewy like it's undercooked. Went there this past Saturday and only ate half of the medium sandwich I ordered. I regret eating that much because a few hours later I was vomiting what I ate out. The produce is probably what caused it. The lettuce was wilted, the tomatoes were soggy and the onions that were pretty much on the entire thing were stringy and slimy. Spent $38 for 2 sandwiches and a potato salad and ended up wasting half of it because it was bad. The change of ownership made this place go downhill, I probably will not go back due to the last 2 bad experiences I've had here in the past 4 months. read more

The concept is very customer friendly, you can pick the type of steak, cheese, and any sauces and extras that you want, for me it's grilled onions and mushrooms The bread tasted like it was home made and the sandwich was balanced perfectly. I also like the fact you can order a sandwich that is perfect portion-wise, the regular sandwich fills one up without feeling stuffed. You can order online-- we are definitely looking forward to the next visit!
