This visit, we tried the Breakfast Pork Sausage Pain Suisse, and OH MY GOODNESS--this was the star of the show! A buttery, flaky croissant layered with JL's signature maple pork sausage patty, cheddar cheese, spicy aioli, and caramelized onions. The sweet maple, savory sausage, creamy cheese, and little kick from the aioli came together in the most incredible way. The flavors were absolutely out of this world! This is officially a new favorite, and I'm already thinking about my next one. We also indulged in the Pumpkin Chocolate Croissant, which was such a lovely seasonal treat, and the Banana Dulce de Leche Kouign-Amann. The latter was pure pastry magic, with banana pastry cream, a dulce de leche filling, banana mascarpone, and a delicate banana chip on top. The combination of banana and rich caramel sweetness was simply divine! Of course, I had to pair everything with a coffee, and it was delicious as well. Customer service was good, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. JL Patisserie is one of those places that reminds you why a well-crafted pastry is worth splurging on. I think it would be much smoother if the person taking the order gathered everything and communicated it to the cashier rather than having the customer repeat the entire order. Second is the individual sandwiches presented and their names like Matt Cain; Da Vinci; Jim Rome; We're Just Friends; Adam Richman; Backstabber; Going Home For Thanksgiving; Handsome Owl; Time Travelers Wife; just to name a few.
