Regarding ambience, service and food, I agree with many of the statements below: The Squire provides a rewarding dining experience. To that I would like to add a personal note. My friends and I chose to celebrate Easter Sunday at The Squire this year, and had just ordered our dinner. Suddenly, I began to feel ill and tried to find a gracious way to leave. Before I knew it, the restaurant staff was at my side, calling 911 and first responders to the restaurant. I was so grateful for the caring assistance of the staff, in particular the manager, Faye Basile, who treated me as she would have treated a member of her family, during an awkward and frightening moment. When it was time for me to be taken to the hospital, I had relaxed enough to allow the paramedics to give me the treatment that I needed. I will continue to return to The Squire with gratitude, as much for their caring service as for their excellent food and dining atmosphere. read more

Great menu with lots of options and fantastic service. Our waiter Corey was excellent, friendly, fun, engaging and very knowledgeable about the menu. They have a massive parking lot and outside the entrance to the restaurant is a nice garden area with a fountain. I think they likely do alot of private events. The restaurant itself is one large room, it looks modern and sleek with really nice new bathrooms when you walk in. The food was very good and the portions were generous. They bring focaccia to the table with olive oil and butter. The focaccia was a little dry, but I am not complaining about free bread. For starters we tried the napolitano flatbread, shrimp scampi (is an entree but we shared it as an app) and eggplant napolitano. Others got the mezze plate, clams oregonata and fig and goat cheese flatbread and loved them all. The napolitano flatbread was very tasty, similar to a pizza. I hate when flatbreads have a thin crust like a cracker and this was the opposite, thick and fluffy. It was fairly large (cut into 6-7 pieces and about a foot long). The shrimp scampi was delicious with 5 large shrimp cooked perfectly. You could not ask for better shrimp and the sauce was divine. We also enjoyed the eggplant napolitano, it was basically eggplant parmigiano (3 large pieces of fried eggplant with cheese in tomato sauce). For entrees we ordered the halibut and twin lobster tails. The halibut and lobster, like the shrimp, were both cooked perfectly and had lovely texture. I liked the parmesan crust on the halibut and the risotto was pleasant (I am just not super into risotto as I think it gets old after a few bites). You can have the lobster steamed or broiled and we went with Corey's recommend of broiled as it comes seasoned and he was spot on. Even without the butter (they put a bowl on the side so you can dip the lobster in it) the lobster had great flavor. For dessert we ordered the fresh apple crumb pie but it was more of an tart. Those we ate it enjoyed it, but said they would not feel the need to order it again. Overall a really nice meal if you find yourself in the area. read more

Impressive dining room meticulously decorated for Valentine's Day. Went there the weekend before and ordered the pork chop- perfectly cooked. My partner had a pasta dish and said it was delicious. The Squire was much better than I anticipated. I admittedly felt out of place since I was dressed particularly casual. It was fancier than I was expecting. I'll pack a shirt with a collar next time I'm in town. The food was amazing! My son and I each got different rigatoni dishes. The flavor was rich and the portions were generous. Came here for a private event and loved the atmosphere! For the private event, they were able to give us a dedicated section which included a nicely arranged table with decor (seats about 20 people). There was also a TV if you wanted to play a slideshow or watch anything in particular. This had a pre-set menu, I got the spicy rigatoni which was delicious! Perfectly al dente. What a fantastic night at The Squire in West Long Branch! We went for their Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin impersonator night, and it was such a fun experience--the energy was high, the house was packed, and it truly felt like dinner and a show. The food was excellent across the board, perfectly prepared and really hit the spot. On top of that, our server Jackie was amazing--attentive, friendly, and on point all night, which made the experience even better. Atmosphere is nice and somewhat classic. Large bar. Drinks arrived promptly and were v good. Bread w butter was also enjoyable. Apps of Caesars salad and fried Calamari were very good. Nice size portions as well. Entrees of Pork Chop was delicious and tender. Penne Vodka was not good- tasted like plain tomato sauce. Portions were both nice size. Maybe we were there on an off Saturday night, but I cannot understand what the rave reviews were based on. At our table of seven, there was one "very good," two "OKs" and the rest below that. The medium-rare steak came out medium-well, there were cold meatballs above the over-cooked pasta, and very small clams on the pasta with a tasteless olive oil wine sauce. I am so happy that i found this spot Spent the day @ the beach with my wife for our 22nd wedding anniversary & we decided for dinner nearby. 1- the location was perfect, no issues parking, no issues with other businesses 2- ambiance was beautiful & the resteraunt inside and out looks amazing. 3- From making the reservation to walking in the door, the staff was on point. Kind, courteous, friendly, attentive, not overbearing We had breanna as a server, she was on point, very personable and well versed on all they had to offer. Her spirit brought such an airy feeling to our whole experience. Once she found out it was our anniversary, she congratulated us, she took pics for us & made us feel special. We met a few others while there who were just a pleasure to deal with. One of the staff named Jesus was in front lobby area and we struck up a convo that was pleasurable and made an impact on us. 4- lets get to the food, everything from the home made mozz sticks, to the spicy rigatoni was on point!!! My wife had salmon over salad & said the salad and dressing was so tasty and the Salmon was cooked to perfection. The presentation of all the food was beautiful very well done. The portions were not small but not overwhelming either. We enjoyed the food and were able to have dessert. Now the dessert was BOMB, lava cake and creme brulee. I visited The Squire during Jersey shore restaurant week for the $42 dinner special. The restaurant is beautiful including a lovely bar with a happy hour and live music. The service is outstanding, several waiters, runners, and bussers taking care of diners. The food is ok, a 50/50 split between highs and lows. The mozzarellas sticks were solid, the baked clams were disappointing. Fresh clams but the breadcrumbs didn't have a lot of flavor. The Chicken parmigiana was very good, large portion and seasoned well. The pasta that accompanied the chicken was overdone. The lava cake was not great, seemed like something I would get frozen at Costco, the ice cream that accompanied the lava cake was fantastic. I will definitely return for happy hour. read more

Came for the first time today for lunch. Sat at the bar. Charles, our bartender was great!! Friendly and welcoming, and makes an incredible espresso martini! I got a burger and husband got the bar pie. He's really picky about his pizza and loved it! I've not had luck finding a good burger in the area...till now!! Perfectly cooked and juicy. Food overall was above average. Onion soup very good, pork chop very good, stuffed shrimp very good but risotto it was served on was lukewarm. Spicy rigatoni came out cold (room temp) and without sausage we requested. Other than forgetting the sausage the service was very good. Desserts excellent. We were happy to sit near a gas fireplace which gave a cozy feel - but only kind of, as there were barely any fake flames, which was kinda weird. Service was great..though I can't remember the name of the gentleman that waited my table, he was very kind and attentive. The food was ok. Started off with the fried calamari with dipping sauce. The coating was flavorful, the calamari was chewy. It was ok. I then chose to create my own pasta..penne and vodka sauce. It too was ok..just a standard full bowl of pasta. Would have been even nicer if served with Italian bread and olive oil or butter. Even an option to add chicken would have been great. Especially for the price point. Last night my boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner at 8 pm (Davis reservationTruly one of the best meals we've ever had. From the Orange crush suggested by our lovely waitress to the caesar salad (so flavorful and not overdressed) to the Surf and Turf for two. Just a wonderful meal and while I do not remember our servers name (sorry girl) she was THE BEST. DJ music was being piped into the dining area from another section of the establishment that was setup to be a dance bar. Hard to not give 5 stars! We love local but we went for the first time in April for our anniversary! The service was outstanding, the food was even better than expected and the brought out our dessert with a candle and a scroll with our names on it! It truly was memorable! If you're trying to plan the perfect date night, definitely give The Squire a visit. We made a reservation online for two and were seated fairly quickly. The bread was warm, and despite me not liking olives, still very crunchy and yummy. The oysters were my favorite as well as the cheesecake. Everything was so perfectly cooked and flavored. Just made it to last night of Jersey Shore Restaurant Week program. What a find! We had never been to The Squire before. Food was excellent. Our party had the mezza combo and beef empanadas! Really good. We had the pork chop and filet mignon for main course- also delicious. NY cheesecake and crème brulee for dessert. I want to go back to try their regular menu.
