The displays of oysters, shrimp, carving stations, custom omelette station, pastas, chicken piccata, and all the usual breakfastfoods were so delicious! The children were able to play out on the beautiful turf area playing cornhole, large connect four game and much more. This place consistently knocks it out of the park with service, food, and atmosphere. Ryan behind the bar is a standout. He treats us like regulars from day one--always greeting us with a smile and delivering truly top-tier service. He's a big part of what makes the whole experience feel so warm and welcoming. And the food? Never the same experience twice in the best way possible. The menu and specials are always evolving, always leveling up, and it keeps things exciting every time we come back. Not once have we been disappointed. Everyone can have an off night--but this place seems to have cracked the code on consistency and excellence. Here for Mother's Day. This place is a disaster. I came here once and sat at the bar with a client, had a glass of wine and the steak sandwich and it was great. This time, not so good. I know the business partners are in some lawsuit about real estate and golf and such. Tried to valet. Then said, he you can park yourself. They said it's ok, we aren't here that long anyway. Said ok. Walked inside, wouldn't let my parents sit down if the full party wasn't here. Thought that was weird as this place is less than half empty yet all reservations are booked. Sat down and the staff started moving fake bushes around, like a wall to separate us from another party, it was a comedy of errors I have never experienced Took forever to get drinks with super weak pours. Lots of people walking around doing nothing with ear pieces in. The music in the dining room sounds like I am in Belmar. Slow service- for way over priced for average food at best. 2nd round came out way late without my glass of wine and when asked can I get another wine, she looked at me like I was the jerk. Food came out late and was cold. This place is gone in a year. Beautiful place, doesn't fit around here. Overpriced and average at best. The bar is good but watching the people in the front dining room is bizarre. Lots of people standing around doing nothing but dressed nice. When we checked in it took 3 hostesses to figure out where to sit us in an empty restaurant and all looked confused. How many hostesses does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Bizarre day. Took forever to get dessert. No one is here. Again not sure what is going on but the club music keeps playing with empty tables and more employees than guests. I came to E&E for my Birthday. When driving in to the golf course it's beautiful. We walked in and the restaurant seems very contemporary at first. Beautifully kept and updated. loved the decor and ambience. We checked in and walked to the bar area. It's an all wood bar a little more aged looking set up. Still very nice. On this night a guy was singing it was very nice. We sat down at a table and there is a very beautifully elaborate menu. We settled on a shaved zucchini salad to start. This by far was delicious. It was super fresh and delicate. I was thoroughly impressed. next we went with the short rib angolotti in a pesto like sauce. everything was delicious a tad salty and the angolotti was on the tad under cooked like by seconds but still amazing nothing really to send back. Still beautifully presented ! Next we ordered a filet mignon it came with a roasted Cippolini onion and roasted garlic and a bernaise sauce by far delicious. Steak cooked perfectly. We also order branzino with potato and corn. Another amazing dish. for a side we order broccoli rabe gratin and crispy guanciale one of the best sides I have eaten in a while! For dessert we had gotten olive oil cake. It was good simple moist and delicious. We also order a cocktail e&e old fashion which tasted perfect! I love this place and can't wait to come back ! Walked in at 6:45 PM. Sat down at 6:50 PM. Order food at 6:55 PM. Walked out at 8 PM after only receiving bread and zucchini flowers approximately 15 minutes after ordering. When we got there, we were with our toddler. We told them that we are on toddler time and so that this meal would be pretty quick. No reason to pace out the courses. Just bring everything out as it's ready. We don't care what order it comes in. The waitress acknowledged. One of the dishes was just a plain pasta with garlic and oil. Something to come to the table quickly while we wait for some of the longer stuff because of the child. I waited a half hour and approached the waitress about why the food hadn't come out. Her response was that it was weird and she would check on it. In the 30 minutes prior, she did not check on us. I reached out to the manager, after a few minutes, I told him that I would pay for the two appetizers I received and would leave. The only good part is that they comped the appetizers because of the poor service. As far as the food, the two appetizers I did have or excellent. I want to make sure that I take time with this review because there were many things that E&E did well but there were also details that were missed that unfortunately, hindered my experience for my partners birthday. As a restaurant that is inside of a country club, it's expected to have a sort of elevated experience but E&E really fell short in that department for me. I can't wholeheartedly give them a 4 star review, I would say it was a solid, 3.5. The aesthetic and design of the space are really perfect. We started off with drinks/live music downstairs at the bar and followed up with a reservation in the main dining room for dinner. This was recommended by staff when making the reservation and I'm glad I listened because that truly did help build the experience for the night. Upon walking in for our reservation though, an opportunity was missed by staff to wish my partner happy birthday. When making the reservation, I was asked if we were celebrating an event and even again when I was called to confirm. Both times they told me they saw the note for his birthday but once we got there, they couldn't even find my reservation, and said nothing. I thought "okay maybe that was just a fumble and they'll get it right in the main dining room", but no. Our server didn't know anything about his birthday until I asked her to take a picture of us. This was frustrating because why ask me prior to about the event and confirm it if it wasn't even going to be acknowledged? They did make up for it at the end of the night by giving him a dessert decorated with "happy birthday" but then that was accompanied with the order missing his cappuccino and my tea. I didn't receive the tea until the last bite of dessert so I thought maybe it would be comp'ed but I was wrong and he never even received the cappuccino. So again, another missed opportunity. I want to say, the mock-tails, speciality drinks, speciality sauces/butters and pork chop dish were absolutely wonderful. One would think that because they have so many sauces and butters, there would be some sort of complimentary bread/cracker//pickled veggie served to the table but it is what it is. The pork chop was literally the surprise of the night because compared to the steak my partner ordered, it was the star of the show. His steak was supposed to be medium but was closer to medium well which again, was frustrating. We also ordered sauces to accompany our dishes which were forgotten too. So again, every time we were having a good time, something missed the mark. It was like we had to really be on top of what we were ordering for the night and we ordered a lot of food, so it can't be that we didn't try enough you know? At a restaurant that wasn't advertised as an elevated experience that would've been fine but I guess I just had my expectations set too high for E&E. A mixed experience with a few highlights, but not quite worth the hype. Visited Ember & Eagle at the old Officers Club location. It's definitely a nice, modern space, but the ambiance didn't feel particularly special to me -- a bit loud, not quite the elevated vibe I expected for the price point. Service was solid. Our water glasses were always full, and while my waiter missed a dropped napkin, I appreciated that the manager noticed and quickly replaced it. That kind of attention to detail matters. The food was hit or miss. My family enjoyed their meals, and we all ordered appetizers, pastas, and proteins. But for me, a lot of the dishes were overly salted, including the focaccia bread, which was so salty I couldn't enjoy it. The much-raved-about truffle sauce didn't live up to the hype either -- not bad, just underwhelming. Now, the ceviche from the surf "seafood tower" (served on a platter) was the star of the night -- fresh, bright, and balanced. The drinks were also excellent, though a bit pricey, which I get -- it is a country club, after all. Overall, I'd return, but probably just for drinks at the bar, which seemed more lively and inviting than the quieter upstairs dining room. If you go in with tempered expectations and a salt tolerance, you might have a better time. read more

Good food, worst service I've ever experienced. Two of us were on time for a reservation. 7 PM on a Friday night. Staff were everywhere, but it took 25 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us after we sat down, and that was only after we were finally able to flag someone down. An hour in, we finally had drinks and a salad. Throughout the night, our server disappeared constantly despite knowing we had such a slow start and were unhappy. The main level has a nice bar along with high back chairs, fireplace, sofas and a chic vibe. Upstairs is the main dining area for now - also modern with some Rat Pack black & whites adorning the walls. We are familiar with Ryan Depersio's cooking from his days at Fascino in Montclair. Food was excellent as was the service. The desert special was a chocolate caramel tart and there were these caramel crunchy clusters underneath the gelato in the sauce. The service was great. The experience here starts as you make your way up the long driveway, taking in the view of the rolling hills on the Suneagles golf course. We approached the TillingHouse at sunset which only enhanced the view. Complimentary valet was waiting for us. **NOTE: The restaurant currently identifies as a "Pop-up". TillingHouse is a banquet hall on the golf course. I'm not certain where the permanent location will be, but they say it's opening in 2025. As you step inside, to your left is the large banquet room and outdoor terrace. There was no event going on, so they let us take a peek. To your right is all of the Ember & Eagle restaurant space. I have to admit I was surprised to hear that this is a pop-up as the space was unique and seemed to fit perfectly. When reserving, you can choose from 3 spaces: You first enter into the FIREPLACE PARLOR. There's some lounge seating and the dining tables are setup in front of a nice fireplace. We saw family's dining here. The next room is the BAR AREA. More of a lively area with a huge bar filing most of the room and dining tables surround it. Tables seemed a little tight. Also there was a live band which added to the vibe. Finally there are 2 staircases which lead you to the MAIN DINING ROOM on the 2nd floor. This was our preference for the night and we were happy with our choice. Nice decor and if you're sitting at a window like we were, you can take in a view of the course. The cocktails were creative and tasty. Winter's Regret and the old fashioned were some highlights. There was a Burrata special available on this night for our appetizer. Really delicious. Scallops over a spicy tomato risotto 8.5/10. I loved it but thought the scallops could have been bigger. Pignoli Crusted Halibut 7.5/10. I felt the portion was small. I enjoyed the Mussel Aqua Pazza and I'm not normally a fan of Mussels. For dessert we had the Orange Olive Oil cake. Really good! It may be hard to imagine from the description, but I highly recommend. Overall I enjoyed the restaurant and the food although I feel they are slightly overpriced. I truly can't believe this was the old officer's club where I attended career fairs at Ft. Monmouth in the 1990s! It's now completely renovated with a huge ballroom, lounge and restaurant. Simply elegant and priced accordingly. Starting with valet parking as you pull up the experience begins. Walk down the entrance foyer to check in and then we were escorted upstairs to the dining area. Such a beautiful transformation from the original look. Service was amazing and attentive with wonderful information and recommendations. Everything is a la carte so extremely pricey. We started with an oyster appetizer and onion focaccia. The focaccia came with a truffle butter and a lemon butter. Both dishes were very good. Entrees: gnocchi, steak and pork chop. Side dishes: glazed carrot and Parmesan fries. All entrees were delicious and side dishes were standard but for the size of the dishes I'd say price could be slightly less. Drinks were priced fairly and the desserts were top notch! The presentation was stunning so stunning it's like, social media-worthy. Since the appetizer was so good, I went with the day boat scallop ala zazzona for dinner. Just like the appetizer it was super flavorful, perfectly cooked scallops paired with a tomato-based risotto that was creamy, bold, and not too heavy. And again, the plating was beautiful. Honestly, every bite was packed with flavor, and I wish I had gotten double portions. The serving sizes were actually pretty big too, which was a nice surprise for an upscale restaurant. The carrot panna cotta in the middle was terrible and tasted nothing like carrots. The focaccia bread was good, but it needed more oil. I like mine to be served with dipping oil even though the lemon butter was delicious! For dinners we had the swordfish Milanese and the pignoli crusted halibut. For dinner we enjoyed the 36 ounce ribeye steak for two, the scallops and the sweet potato ravioli. All the entrees were so delicious we were passing forks between each other to try everything. The red pepper steak sauce was a big hit with the group as well. For dessert we had the GF apple cake and the bananas foster. We did not leave a crumb on the plates. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and instantly transported me to feeling like I was on vacation. The staff was helpful with recommendation and very thoughtful when it came to our parties allergies. Last night 01/03/25 we came on a surprise trip to check out Ember & Eagle. We don't usually do a table unless we want to really be fancy. We normally prefer to sit at the bar. So we sat at the bar where we were greeted by the lovely bar staff. We started out with some cocktails off the drink menu and followed that with some of the bread they brought out. We then got 2 starters, the grilled octopus & little gem Caesar salad. The grilled octopus was so tender & the sauce was tangy but paired well! It's one of the best Caesar salads I've had in a long time, & yes, you can mess up a Caesar salad! We then got 2 glasses of white wine to pair with our dinner. I got the Swordfish Milanese, which was absolutely delicious, I have never had swordfish before & i was blown away! The breading of the fish along with the sauce it came with and mini side salad was yummy! My husband got the Pignoli Crusted Halibut and he enjoyed the dish! The sauce was sweet & the fish was cooked very well! Finally, we did the Toffee Pudding for dessert & it was so soft & absolutely mouth watering. We went to Ember and Eagle early evening on NYE. The ambiance and setting is stunning. Relaxed atmosphere mixed with elegance. Some tables had sofas to sit on. Service was also really amazing although we went to dinner around 5:30, so it was fairly quiet. The food was good - we enjoyed it all. The cocktail menu was small but both of our drinks were good. I ordered the Stevie Nicks with tequila jalapeño and passion fruit and I'd highly recommend it. The porterhouse was good - I wouldn't say spectacular - but delicious. I loved the salt it came with. The mashed potatoes and the oxtail pasta we ordered were tasty as well. We also ordered two glasses of wine and the affogato for dessert. For two people, the total bill came to be around $350. Pretty expensive night considering we were only 2 people. I think it's worth coming for drinks and ambience. The bar downstairs seemed lovely as well. read more

Hands down, the BEST meal we have ever had in the Garden State. 10 stars if possible. Chef Ryan Depersio and his team have created a STUNNING venue, with a menu to match. Head chef Chris Dikovics is so freakin' talented! In house made pastas....and Ryan's mother's zeppoli with ricotta/pecorino and prosciutto is to die for. All the starters: octopus, crudo, zeppole, oysters were over the top gorgeous and delicious. Mains: Swordfish Milanese, steaks and pastas were out of this world. Service is also 5 star. Kind and knowledgeable, refreshing for NJ. I wish Ember & Eagle was not in Eatontown, because it is a bit of a hike from Summit. Dreaming of our next visit. read more

I was very excited to go this newer Steakhouse that was a little further than I like to go for dinner, but was hoping it would be worth the ride. The ambiance was very nice. Walking into the place was an experience. The bar, the lobby, both magnificent. Elegant decor with a rich glamorous feel. The food, mainly the appetizers were disappointing. We had the octopus, raw scallops, & beet salad. Although we finished it all, it was not very good. The octopus was tough. The scallop dish was salty and the beet salad bland. They were all just very average. My husband ordered a steak and it was fatty and not great. My salmon main course was good and the side carrots were a home run. This was the best part of the meal. The drinks were ice and a few sips each. It's a pop up restaurant, so I do hope for improvement. The waitress was nice and accommodating. read more
