Ember & Eagle is a local gem tucked away at the Tillinghouse venue on the Suneagles Golf Club in Eatontown, NJ. With a kitchen overseen by NJ Chef Ryan DePersio, this steakhouse takes special care in serving carefully treated proteins accompanied by tasty appetizers and side dishes. The venue is characterized by high ceilings, generous wood accents, and intimate lighting and spaces. APPETIZERS * Hamachi Crudo: The table favorite! It was fresh and citrusy with jalapeño, lime, and grapefruit, all topped with large, purple squid-ink tapioca chips. * Pecorino Zeppole: A unique dish. The prosciutto came topped with Calabrian chili honey and five deep-fried pecorino donut balls (made from the chef's grandma's recipe). THE MAINS Across the board, the proteins were excellently cooked. * Faroe Island Salmon: A showstopper. The outside was crisp, while the meat itself was cooked to a perfect medium temperature that simply melts in your mouth. * 1/2 Hudson Valley Chicken: Equally impressive, featuring crisp skin and a moist interior. It was served with deliciously cooked onions and roasted garlic. * 14 oz Pork Chop: Quite delicious, featuring beautiful sear and grill marks on juicy meat. It also came with tasty cooked onions and roasted garlic. DESSERT & WINE * Guava Cake: A fresh and tasty treat to finish the meal. * Wine: They have a decent wine selection. We really enjoyed a bottle of the Poggio Brunello, which was quite tasty and paired beautifully with the meal. OVERALL A great place for a special date night or celebration. The on-premise banquet facilities looked impressive with high, vaulted ceilings and a great bar.

The appetizers, the meals, the drinks and even the desserts were upscale, extremely delicious and expertly prepared. The service we received from our waiter Richard and the other servers was outstanding. The restaurant was clean, well decorated and comfortable. The only critique is that the restaurant was extremely loud and voices seemed to echo over each other. Perhaps some acoustic dampening material would help. I highly recommend this restaurant for an upscale night out. It is highly priced, but the restaurant doesn't disappoint.

I want to make sure that I take time with this review because there were many things that E&E did well but there were also details that were missed that unfortunately, hindered my experience for my partners birthday. As a restaurant that is inside of a country club, it's expected to have a sort of elevated experience but E&E really fell short in that department for me. I can't wholeheartedly give them a 4 star review, I would say it was a solid, 3.5. The aesthetic and design of the space are really perfect. We started off with drinks/live music downstairs at the bar and followed up with a reservation in the main dining room for dinner. This was recommended by staff when making the reservation and I'm glad I listened because that truly did help build the experience for the night. Upon walking in for our reservation though, an opportunity was missed by staff to wish my partner happy birthday. When making the reservation, I was asked if we were celebrating an event and even again when I was called to confirm. Both times they told me they saw the note for his birthday but once we got there, they couldn't even find my reservation, and said nothing. I thought "okay maybe that was just a fumble and they'll get it right in the main dining room", but no. Our server didn't know anything about his birthday until I asked her to take a picture of us. This was frustrating because why ask me prior to about the event and confirm it if it wasn't even going to be acknowledged? They did make up for it at the end of the night by giving him a dessert decorated with "happy birthday" but then that was accompanied with the order missing his cappuccino and my tea. I didn't receive the tea until the last bite of dessert so I thought maybe it would be comp'ed but I was wrong and he never even received the cappuccino. So again, another missed opportunity. I want to say, the mock-tails, speciality drinks, speciality sauces/butters and pork chop dish were absolutely wonderful. One would think that because they have so many sauces and butters, there would be some sort of complimentary bread/cracker//pickled veggie served to the table but it is what it is. The pork chop was literally the surprise of the night because compared to the steak my partner ordered, it was the star of the show. His steak was supposed to be medium but was closer to medium well which again, was frustrating. We also ordered sauces to accompany our dishes which were forgotten too. So again, every time we were having a good time, something missed the mark. It was like we had to really be on top of what we were ordering for the night and we ordered a lot of food, so it can't be that we didn't try enough you know? At a restaurant that wasn't advertised as an elevated experience that would've been fine but I guess I just had my expectations set too high for E&E. All in all, it was a good time, just a couple of missed opportunities.

I as eager to try Ember And Eagle so we chose it for our pre- Valentine dinner. Even though they call it a pop up location, it is a beautiful space and tastefully done. The main level has a nice bar along with high back chairs, fireplace, sofas and a chic vibe. Upstairs is the main dining area for now - also modern with some Rat Pack black & whites adorning the walls. We are familiar with Ryan Depersio's cooking from his days at Fascino in Montclair. Food was excellent as was the service. Appetizers Tuna tartare Oysters Focaccia bread Mid- course Gnocchi Entrees Swordfish Halibut Dessert Carrot cake Needless to say I truly enjoyed our evening and hope to return soon. Ember and Eagle is a very special restaurant in Eatontown.

First time here! Came for my birthday. It did not disappoint. The place is gorgeous, it offers a ballroom for a wedding, a lounge area with a fireplace a huge bar area and upstairs is the dining area. It's on a very largest state from what I'm told. It was an officers. The service was excellent and food was great. Found them from Tiktok. The bone marrow tartare was excellent, and the steak cooked to perfection. . Will definitely come back.

This place is undeniably beautiful - huge, luxurious, and clearly the spot in town where everyone comes to enjoy a night out. It feels like a bit of a gala just walking in. Service was good, the food was good, but honestly, nothing stood out as exceptional for the price we paid. Portions are on the smaller side, and while everything was well presented, it didn't quite wow us for the cost. Overall, it's worth visiting for the ambiance and the experience, but keep in mind it's definitely on the expensive side.

The food was so delicious. The chef definitely added surprises in many of the dishes we ordered. For example, the oysters with caviar had a delectable olive oil drizzled over them and at the end you could taste this dash of cranberry. The mushroom on my filet had a little onion medallion hidden in it the was so.."oh hello! Welcome to my dish!!" The desert special was a chocolate caramel tart and there were these caramel crunchy clusters underneath the gelato in the sauce. The service was great. The bathroom was beautiful and clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Oh! And either the couple next to us smelt great or they were pumping a great scent through the vents. Great experience overall. A tad pricey but you get what you pay for.

Let me start by saying their staff and hospitality was stellar. Valet parking for everyone, coat check, relaxing vibe, and not too loud. Surprisingly, even once it got very busy, you could still have a conversation without raising your voice. The server was very attentive as were the table bussers. As for the food, the apps and small plates were amazing. We had oysters with caviar, octopus (a little tough), sea bass, pasta, and desserts were all full of flavor.

I truly can't believe this was the old officer's club where I attended career fairs at Ft. Monmouth in the 1990s! It's now completely renovated with a huge ballroom, lounge and restaurant. Simply elegant and priced accordingly. Starting with valet parking as you pull up the experience begins. Walk down the entrance foyer to check in and then we were escorted upstairs to the dining area. Such a beautiful transformation from the original look. Service was amazing and attentive with wonderful information and recommendations. Everything is a la carte so extremely pricey. We started with an oyster appetizer and onion focaccia. The focaccia came with a truffle butter and a lemon butter. Both dishes were very good. Entrees: gnocchi, steak and pork chop. Side dishes: glazed carrot and Parmesan fries. All entrees were delicious and side dishes were standard but for the size of the dishes I'd say price could be slightly less. Drinks were priced fairly and the desserts were top notch! This is definitely a place to go for special occasions and celebrations. Cheers!

Wrong appetizer delivered, setting back the dining experience 15 minutes. When the sausage and beans finally did arrived, we wished we had opted for the incorrect alternative initially delivered. Beans and sauce were very good, but the sweet sausage was dry, as if it spent the afternoon sunning under a heat lamp. Special tagliatelle was overcooked and the guanciale was crisped to the point of uncomfortable crunch. Risotto was the highlight, tasty and well prepared. Patio seating is very uncomfortable and reminiscent of the scene in Animal House where the Delta bros, in this case hostess, did a weed out on sight, separating those they connect with and sending the rest to the patio hinterland. Policy states inside seating is first come, first accommodated, but parties were clearly being seated in the patio despite suitable tables for the party size being available in the main dining room. Mediocre food led us to the decision to pass on desert. If your looking for elevated Italian, Anjelicas or Tramas are far superior choices. Dusals in Freehold is a better alternative for pasta and red sauce standards. Food level does not support the attitude of this establishment.
