The shop is known by their beautiful mousse cake . They have a colorful mousse cakes collection. I tried their Oreo Jasmine Mousse and Yuzu Mango Mousse. I'm impressed with the jasmine flavor of of the oreo jasmine cake, the jasmine flavor just right which is not be over or too light, and the sweet level is pretty balanced. However the cake's texture is a little bit dry for mousse cake. By my personal taste , I like mousse is more little moist and fluffy. The yuzu mango flavor is such a beautiful cake with very light yuzu flavor, my first bite is taste like cheese cake. But the customer service of the dessert shop is very well. They gave out some cute samples of Calamansi panacotta which is surprisingly yummy. On the other hand, I also ordered ice Vietnamese coffee and a hot latte , but the coffee are both too under flavor and bland. Maybe this is a good spot to check in . read more

I love The Spoon now. The store is spacious, clean and inviting for everyone including kids. It looks so elegant with nice furniture and cute designs. Everything is very creative and unique from a good taste owner. "Durian mousse" is one of my favorite cakes. It's so smooth and delicious. I could finish it within 2 minutes :). I kept eating it non-stop because the sweetness of it was just right. I believe they use fresh and good quality ingredients to make good and healthy cakes and you will crave more. My son found this wonderful dessert and drink spot as part of our day out in/near Anaheim for early Mother's Day. The restaurant itself was delightful. Lots of cozy seating, set up for you to come and stay for a while. The vibe was so relaxing, so welcoming and so bright. The staff were all super friendly and patient while we were checking everything out and deciding on what to try. They made great recommendations and were so kind to explain different things to us. We got a variety of treats to try (and had them packaged it to go so we could taste test and take the rest home, even the packaging is beautiful). The flavors were vibrant and unique, and everything was so fresh and truly delicious. We had a wonderful experience overall and would highly recommend checking out this spot. The Spoon is an extremely lowkey but wonderful dessert spot in Stanton. It is unassuming, but the cute and quiet ambiance, along with excellent service gave me some hope as I got ready to order. The cakes were definitely the highlight. From the display, I marveled at all of the wonderful designs and wanted to get everything. Once I settled on two of them, the guava cheesecake and ube cheesecake, I was hesitant to even break into them to eat. However, I'm glad I did because the flavors were even better than their looks. Super aesthetician and yummy! Located on Beach and Orangewood, this cute little dessert place sits in the corner of the same building as Fusion Corner. Interior is super cute and spacious. There's plenty of space to sit, chat, and study. In the front is a display of all their available desserts. I ordered a lot. Sadly, I don't have pictures of the smaller desserts except the ube cheesecake. This is the cake version. It's super beautiful. Taste-wise, I feel the ube can be much stronger, and the creame cheese taste can be a little less. But overall a great showpiece if you want a fancy cake. I do absolutely recommend the durian cakes! (Pending you like durian lol) They use real durian. I love that you can taste the fruit fibers, and the texture by far is amazing. read more

A new addition to the plaza by Wendy's on Beach Blvd. There's plenty of parking and seating indoors and outdoors. I've seen lots of ads of The Spoon on Yelp and Instagram so I decided to give it a try tonight. The desserts they offer are beautiful. We ordered the guava cheesecake, ube cheesecake, and yuzu matcha. I wasn't a big fan of the outside of the guava cheesecake but the inside was good so 3.5/5. The yuzu matcha was lacking flavor for both yuzu and matcha unfortunately and I wasn't expecting the whipped cream fluffy texture so 1/5. The ube cheesecake was the winner and really tasted like true ube so 5/5. The price range for individual desserts is around $4-$8, which I think is fair as far as presentation and taste goes. Overpriced for the taste, paid for the looks. Coffee on the light side no fragments of coffee as it was overshadowed with creme and foam. Drinks were beautiful but tasted water down artificial sugar and color. One of those, "don't let the picture fool you," kind of places. They were super helpful at the counter and their suggestions were so delicious. We can't wait to go back and try more items! I loved the gluten free Nutella bear. I almost felt bad cutting into him because he was so cute! There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is quite nice but not too fancy that you feel uncomfortable or stuffy. We were looking for a quick snack and when we saw the pictures we were a little nervous it would be too fancy but they were so nice and welcoming even if we were in casual clothes. The desserts are definitely worth the price though. They were delicious! They were also the perfect size for us to share a few between the two of us. We will be back. The desserts are more on the light end and less, Kiki, with more of a focus on the light creams and Panna cottas, rather than dense, very sweet cakes.
