What a fancy little dessert/drink spot. We go the Butterfly Calamansi and the Creme Brulee Coffee to go with the Strawberry Mousse and the Nutella Bear. The drinks were smooth and the desserts were light and fluffy -- just enough to quench our thirst and satisfy our sweet tooth. The parking lot was full even though this restaurant was empty. The restroom was clean. The service was great. The server/cashier gave us great attention. The restaurant is very well maintained. This is a great spot to just sit, enjoy some snacks/drinks, and hang out with friends.
We've been waiting for a soecial occasion to go to this special place for a while, and my friend's birthday came up! Not busy, easy parking, variety of uncommon flavors, and beautiful set up and furniture selection. The taste/quality of food was okay, it was the first time we don't finish our olates of dessert...most taste like plain creamcheese, off tecture- definitely look better than they taste. Might give it another try in the future if I see good reviews indicating better tasting options.
The desserts here were so cute! They were out of a couple of things but there was still plenty for us to try. Service here is great and the atmosphere is so cute. Decent prices too with a great value for what you get and everything is delicious. So why the four stars. We ordered four things and the box that they put it in, you have to be very careful You keep it completely flat and don't tilt it at all. Otherwise everything topples on top of each other which is what happened with my desserts. I think it would've been easier in a basic box to keep upright versus the beautiful handle box. The coffee here and tea are both excellent as well. Make sure you get something to drink to go along with your dessert.
This has become our go to spot when we run away from our children. Their cute little mousse characters is what drew me in to begin with. Have tried them? Nope .. The service is good. If you don't have any patience, the service may feel slower than you'd like. When we come here it's usually later at night so there's only one worker. If you decide to eat there, they do bring your items to your table. The interior is pretty cool. They have areas with cool chairs and a coffee table in between and they have regular tables & chairs. Things we've tried: pistachio strawberry, Ube cheesecake, matcha tiramisu, red velvet, guava cheesecake, passion cherry pineapple cheesecake, pandas Ube mousse, mango passion, and a phletora or lattes.
It's really good taste and pretty looks. My sister was very happy to get it for her birthday.
I came with my friend as she said this was one of her favorite dessert spots and it was an interesting experience. Interior has enough seating and service was nice. It was relatively clean, the tables were kinda sticky which was meh to me. We got their Blooming Tea (hot), Strawberry Slush, Passion Cherry Pineapple, and Lychee Mousse. The Blooming tea tasted surprisingly subtle and calming, it paired well with the Lychee Mousse as it tasted subtly light with lychee jellies inside. The Passion Cherry Pineapple tasted strong as you can taste more of the cherry's tart. I wasn't really into it as much as the Lychee. The Strawberry Slush was just ok, it tasted diluted at first then got better.

When we first walked in, the desserts were beautifully displayed, though no one was at the counter right away. Once the lady came out, she was friendly--though not overly so. We ordered 2 desserts which looked super cute and were definitely tasty, though it didn't completely blow me away. The tea was served in charming little cups that added a nice touch to the experience. Overall, it was a lovely and relaxing stop--perfect for an afternoon treat or a quiet conversation over sweets. Nothing over-the-top, but I still really enjoyed the atmosphere and would definitely come back when I'm craving something sweet
I been to this place a couple times to satisfy the sweet tooth. Super sick eye candy, petite sizes, and ranges about $9 a pop. From sweetest/heaviest to lightest/refreshing: Dragonfruit Berry, Pineapple Cherry Passion, Yuzu Mango Mousse There's usually one person working hard and polite there. Not much else to say on that end I just get my dessert n get straight to it. The store looked like some cool art deco interior, with really comfortable seats. My ONE complaint, is that I can never seem to catch their dessert specials that aren't in the cases. The really pretty ones you see on this yelp, IG, or their website. They say that they MIGHT get their dry ice on Saturdays which is part of the special. I kinda just wish it was more available, I'm certain it would earn this last star
Located off Beach Bl in Stanton. A good amount of parking. The place is nice has a good amount of tables and seats. I got the Nutella gluten free bear. It was very good and not too sweet. The gal and guy working here were both helpful, nice and friendly. Overall had a good experience here and the bear was yummy I'll have to come back and get it again along with a drink.
Overall a casual quiet spot. The desserts were decent but nothing to write home about. Nice if you want individual sized desserts and seems like a nice gift. The service was decent, the bring out the cakes to you on plates which is nice! Wouldn't mind going again when in the area but not itching to go back. Next time I'm intrigued to get a drink. Checked out The Spoon with my daughter. Wow- the ube cheesecake was delicious and so pretty. It was not too sweet and was just so tasty- was very pleasantly surprised. Want to go back to try some other desserts. Nice ambiance.
This is a cute cafe with an assortment of cakes and drinks down the street from Knottsberry Farm. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was quiet with plenty of comfortable seating. The selection was a bit limited when I got there so I didn't get to try everything I wanted, but they did refill the kiosk as the afternoon went on. Overall, the desserts here are really aesthetic and there's more cakes I would like to try if I'm in the area next time. As for each: The earl grey bear I came for was decent; it kinds of tastes like ice cream, was super cute, but is lacking a bit of something extra. The lychee pig was so-so. I liked the matcha tiramisu the best! The smoking jasmine was a miss for me; the lychee inside the mousse was pretty sludgy and tart, which I thought did not match well with the jasmine. The cakes were also smaller than expected; the three of us shared four desserts. Free parking lot behind the cafe; just make sure not to park in a residential apartment spot. Service is nice!
I love the aesthetic of this place! From the decor to the desserts and drinks. Sadly they were out of a few of the desserts I wanted to try but that's all the more reason for me to go back to try them next time! This place is definitely an experience! I finally got to go and ate it. The flavor of Nutella bear is heaven!!! Other cake so so . I also lived the ube matcha you should definitely try it. Latte is usually as other place. The service was great you order at the cashier then they will serve it to your table~ The interior is so cute for photo time~ They have antique style chairs for photo~ The servicer were very nice the and polite. First time here and immediatelt thought it was Very spacious! Came on Sunday mid afternoon and surprisingly there was only one other group. Crowd started coming in later on. All the desserts looked so yummy and pretty. My friend & I got the Yuzu Mango Mousse, Ube Cheesecake, Nutella Bear, & Passion Mango. (Names arent SUPER accurate lol) Each was about $8/$9. We rated the following (from 1 to 4): Ube Cheesecake, Nutella Bear, Passion Mango, and the Yuzu. The texture and sweetness of each was so good. I fell in LOVE with the Ube Cheesecake. The ambience was clean and quiet. It was very Melo because they were playing all these cover songs that reminds me of my childhood. They were very patient and nice because we're taking our time looking at all the different desserts. They even described some of the flavors. The Ube latte was delicious while the matcha coffee latte had a bit too much coffee (I was just not expecting it to be too strong for the coffee) but after mixing it very well, the matcha coffee latte was better. Both drinks were ok. Nothing to write home about. The desserts were amazing tho! This is where they shine. My partner looove the yuzu mango, he wanted a second one. It had a great sweet and citrus flavor and the mango filling were very fresh and it gave a crisp feeling to the tongue The Nutella bear was toooo cuuuteeee to eat. I got the dragon fruit berry and creme brûlée latte. The creme brûlée latter was a bit bitter but paired well with the dragon fruit berry. I enjoy the drink and dessert. This is such a cute place. My daughter and I had a fun time trying various desserts here. Our favorite was the Oreo cheesecake! The bear was just way too cute to eat but we managed to eat it. The cakes here are not very sweet which we liked. The tea was really light and refreshing too. The service was quick as you order with the cashier and they bring out your things to you. I liked the Nutella Bear but it wasn't my favorite. I enjoyed the mango passion cheesecake. That was my favorite thing that I ordered. The matcha latte wasn't bad, I think I just tried it out hot and realized I definitely prefer it cold. Despite my first desserts not being the top of my list, the atmosphere alone makes me want to come back and give it another try and check out more items on the menu. It wasn't very expensive either. All 3 items came out to about $24 which isn't as much as I was expecting considering how much time it probably takes to make the desserts and decorate them that way. They don't pressure you to rush out. It was nice and relaxing. I would definitely recommend bringing a friend or two to chat. The decor and seating areas are nice inside and they have some extra tables outside if there isn't enough room. read more
More like a 2.5. I'm sad to admit I was expecting more from The Spoon. A friend and I stopped by on a weekday afternoon to hang out and try the cute desserts we saw advertised on instagram. Between the two of us, we tried 3 of the animal mousses and 2 drinks. I ordered a matcha latte and my friend got a soursop tea. The soursop drink was refreshing, but the matcha latte was too sweet and thick from the cream/mousse and I wasn't able to finish it. As for the mousses, we got the lychee bunny, Nutella bear, and strawberry pig. The Nutella was good, but both of the fruity flavors were underwhelming and tasted too artificial. We didn't end up eating more than a couple tiny bites despite each being almost $10 each. We were pretty disappointed overall since the desserts are supposed to be The Spoon's specialty. A small issue we encountered during our time there was the lack of service. Not to say that the service we received was bad, but during the couple hours I was there, no one was at the counter during the entire first half so I struggled getting attention in order to place an order. I wonder if the employees were taking a break or doing things in the kitchen for awhile. I. However, once somebody eventually manned the counter, they were nice and provided good service. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll make the effort to drive all the way to Stanton just to visit The Spoon, but I'm glad we gave it a try just to see what the hype is about. read more

Doesn't have the fluff but more of the little jiggle a jello would have. Flavors were ok. The bear dessert was my kids' favorite. Nutella flavored. Good service too! The food here is basically like fancy mousses. They look pretty but the flavor just isn't there. If you're looking for light dessert that's airy, smooth and delicate this is your place. I was expecting more indulgent and decadent desserts. I thought the deserts would be cakes but there like 90% mousse if not completely mousse. I've been here twice now. Honestly, this is a super aesthetic spot nestled in the newer developments and gentrified area of Stanton which provides a pleasing atmosphere to hang out with friends or a date at. The desserts are really visually creative and artsy looking and the service is great as they bring them out to you promptly in proper plates. However, beware, the prices for the desserts are fairly steep and you definitely are paying for the atmosphere here. The coffee drinks are more reasonably priced and decent and I absolutely love the cups they provide them in. Overall, I would be inclined to pay a visit here again someday! read more
On first impression, this place seems like a nice place to get cute little desserts. While I have not tried any of these desserts yet, the staff was really helpful and the desserts look even better in person. I got a few desserts as a gift for a friend: guava cheesecake, ube cheesecake, strawberry pistachio, and matcha tiramisu. These cakes are small and they do range from $6-8 each, but they do look amazing. They were packaged up nicely as well. I also grabbed a strawberry pig for my sister. Everything including names and pricing are listed on the website as well. My only point of feedback would be to include a more detailed description for each dessert (For example, naming something "strawberry pig" really only tells us the flavor and not what it contains, like cream, mousse, or cake, ect). The interior is very spacious and seems like an ideal place to enjoy the cakes. Looking forward to coming back and trying the desserts. read more

The Spoon is a beautiful modern contemporary dessert shop in Stanton. Their grand opening was in February, so it's still fairly new. The interior has an elegant design and have plenty of velvet lounge chairs. We tried the guava cheesecake and blueberry mousse. The guava cheesecake was 5/5. Amazing guava flavors with real guava in the middle. The blueberry mousse however was practically inedible. The mousse was jello-like and not light and creamy like I was expecting. It tasted heavy and dense. We did not finish it. I would come back but read the reviews first to see which dessert options are good. It can be a hit or miss. read more
Super cute cafe! The chairs are comfy and fancy looking and the desserts are even cuter. We ordered the yuzu mango mousse, strawberry pig, Thai tea panna cotta, and ube latte. All of the desserts and drink were creamy, smooth, and sweet but not overly sweet. The ube latte in particular was probably the best ube drink I've ever tasted because of how creamy and flavorful it was. Out of the desserts, the Thai tea panna cotta was the best tasting and I wish they gave more. I think if anyone went here it would be so easy to overspend because of how tasty everything is. Overall not too much sweet balanced taste. It is well balanced dessert, so doesn't need bitter tea or espresso to clean up your over sweetness or greasiness in mouth. Maybe just flower tea or some sour flavor tea might be enough. I recommend yuzu mango mousse. read more
Such a cute dessert place! The interior design compliments the beautiful desserts they make, definitely IG worthy. A small issue is that the tables are super low (the seats by the window with big chairs), so it's not very comfortable to eat with your back hunched over. I ordered two desserts when I got there, and two more before I left because I couldn't resist! I also shared a few others with my friends, and we enjoyed all of them: raspberry chocolate mousse, strawberry pistachio mousse, Lychee pink bear, and best of all, the ganache dulce de leche. I also tried the Nutella bear, and I liked that one a lot too, especially since it had a nutty filling. The place is chic and cozy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the desserts available. The desserts are very good and interesting. So many choices to try. The blooming tea is my favorite. It has a jasmine taste to it and very subtle. The Beauty tea is more herbaceous and tastes stronger. A definitely must place to try! read more

I have been here a few time and this place is one of the most aesthetic coffee place in town! One of the good things about this place is that it opens pretty late for a coffee shop, so if you are into getting a desert after a yummy dinner, this is the place to go. Parking is also not bad. Don't forget to check in on Yelp for a complimentary ice tea! Ambience: 10/10 This place is very aesthetic and "instagramable." I love their colorful and elegant furniture and view is good for a small coffee shop too. They serves their coffee is a cute cup with a spoon (huge plus in my book). Overall, a good place to social and chill with your friends and family. Deserts: 8/10 This place is known for their cute looking cakes. I tried some of their deserts already, and it is decent. It's creamy and sweet, but not overly sweet. The guava cheesecake and matcha tiramisu. are my favorite. Drinks: 8/10 Decent coffee, nothing too special. Sounds cliche but this place really is such a vibe! The interior is really cool and well thought out and offers a very relaxing atmosphere. The main star of the show for sure though are the desserts. What I liked is that they aren't too sweet, but they are flavorful and also incredibly well made. I highly recommend both their desserts and their drinks! read more

The service was 5/5, the server was soo nice and explained each dessert to us and popular drink recommendations. The interior is also very cute and clean place to hang out. Unfortunately the tastes of the dessert itself wasn't great. We ordered guava lychee mousse, guava cheesecake, and coco pandan. The mousses were not very light and delicate, they were all pretty frozen interiorly and made the desserts lack flavor and taste more icey. The guava cheesecake didn't have much of a guava flavor and tasted mostly like a plain cheesecake. I think this place has a lot of potential it just didn't live up to the reviews for us. read more

It's a good place to come relax with. Treat and. Pot of te after dinner. Lots of tables and loveseats. Good for catching up with friends. They have teapots and very elevated desserts. We were greeted upon entry. Took a while to browse the three cases of single serve desserts. Mini cakes and mousse in unique flavors. I ended up going with the ganache Dulce de leche and yuzu mango mousse. My friend got the calamansi panna cotta and lychee cream puff. We shared a pot of the blooming tea. We picked out seats and the cakes and tea were brought out to us. The ganache Dulce de leche is very strong on the ganache. Get this if you're in the mood for chocolate. The cream and little tart red it's on top cut the sweetness well. Not sure what the red tart bits were but I liked them. I liked the yuzu mango mousse. Very subtle mango and yuzu flavors. My friend wanted stronger yuzu and mango but I think it was perfect. Not too sweet. Her calamansi pan a cotta definitely had the strong calamansi flavor. That's probably why she had that comment about my yuzu mango dessert. Admittedly that one was my favorite of the four. If they sold this in a full size cake I would be down. I only tried the pink frosting on the lychee cream puff and I liked it. Very light frosting texture and taste. There's a while lychee on the inside of the puff. I liked that the place was low key and chill. Music from the 90s and beyond. Everyone comes and goes. Some for take out. Some sit and stay. With so many desserts I'll have to come back and try the rest. read more
Atmosphere was very cute. Definitely a place I would go with the Girl Crew and grab some gourmet sh*t. The prices... steep. Especially for such a small portion. But the flavor... delectable. It is after all, gourmet and supposed to eat in moderation. Even though I could've had these desserts by the table full. I ordered the Nutella bear, which on its own is a bit morbid, yet oddly fun to eat. The mousse was so silky and soft with small little bits of hazelnuts. Just enough to add a bit of contrast to the soft mousse. I also tried their Mango-Passionfruit Cheesecake. Another delicious decision. Tart, but sweet. It has a sponge in the middle that also breaks up the soft mousse topping. They packed it in this cute box with the most adorable spoons. Lastly, I checked in to get the free Lemon Iced Tea. "Okay," I thought, "This is going to be some basic a** tea." Let me tell you, it was PERFECTION. Being an Arnold Palmer aficionado, I know a thing or two about a good lemon iced tea. This my friends, was exquisite. Perfectly sweet AND tart. Unfortunate that no one was enjoying the treats and drinks here, but they have a lot of other specialty flavors I would be so down to try. The bear is $9, the pig and the bunny are $8 each. There are different flavors. I had Nutella bear, but I think they also have guava mango cheesecake bear.
