Noticed the cake atm outside. Decided to give it a try! Loved the idea but slightly dry. When you get towards the bottom it's a little moist but overall the flavor is good. In my opinion, I would say less frosting and more cake. They are also priced pretty decent it was about $5 each.

cake playhouse was easy to work with. i loved how my daughter's first birthday cake turned out & it was delicious! we ordered the white vanilla cake w/ strawberry filling.

If you're looking for delicious & customizable cakes, Yi is your girl! She made the cutest cakes for my son and daughter's combined birthday party. I found her website to be super helpful when deciding what kind of cake we wanted. We ended up getting the Pink Heart Vintage Cake with Bows for my daughter and added some butterflies. For my son, I gave her a reference photo of a Thomas the Train cake and she made it exactly as pictured. I was so sad to have to cut into them! Both cakes were moist and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. Looking forward to ordering from her again for future parties! Tip: I would text Yi beforehand for any inquires. Her communication was fast and easy!

Amazing! Yi Han helped me out on a last minute birthday order. I needed a birthday cake done in 4 days and I couldn't find anyone willing to make a custom cake in a short amount of time. Thankfully, I reached out to the Cake Playhouse and not only was she willing to create a cake in the short amount of time but was also able to make cupcakes and a smash cake as well. Everything came out beautifully and we loved all the little fondant details. The birthday cake was moist and delicious (not too sweet like other cakes). We received so many compliments on how delicious the cake was. Would recommend and money well spent!

I booked a cake globe decorating session here for my birthday with a group of 15 people! It's a small place but plenty of parking in the plaza. Once inside you'll see the many examples of beautifully decorated cakes and classes you can do. You book your reservation online and you can write what kind of theme you would like. I went with Pokémon as my theme. Chef Yi taught all of us how to create the characters piece by piece and even though a lot of us struggled to make them perfect, we had a fun time and the uniqueness of each person's cakes made the experience all the better! Definitely recommend booking a party here or buying a cake for your own party! Thank you for the great time :)

Custom Cake 3 tiers for baby shower

Ordered a custom cake for a baby shower, came out more than perfect. The communication and process was super clear and easy, the price was super reasonable, and I will be sure to come here again every time I need a cake for a very special event! If you are wondering if this is the spot for your event, it is!!! Yummy and Beautiful cakes

I love this place. Perfect and kind. She is really professional. I asked my son's birthday cake. It was amazing. Thank you!

Affordable, fun and such a great activity . I highly recommend the cupcake making DIY. I took my nephews here and it was such a great experience.

Absolutely amazing this was such a great purchase my kids {teens none the less} and I had a blast. The owner was sweet, helpful, and so gracious. Cupcakes were already made, she whipped us up fresh buttercream frosting while we got to choose from SO MANY designs for the fondant toppers10 out of 10 experience definitely recommend Context: we used a Groupon to decorate cupcakes

It probably should have its own listing but as other reviews for it seem to be here already (and because I'm too lazy to create a new listing) I'm leaving my review here. The restaurant is small, perhaps a dozen tables, and is difficult to find. It is hidden down a hall and around the corner from the student cafe. It's behind what looks like just another classroom door. They have designated parking right near the restaurant and provide a parking pass to put on your dashboard so you don't have to pay for student parking. Chefs and servers are students supervised by instructors. The menu changes periodically and they also have special theme meals from time to time which you can be informed of by providing your email. Although I'm not certain, I think it was my server's first time ever attending to someone. She was a little unsure of herself but very sweet and went back to the kitchen to get answers to questions when she didn't know. I gave her my order and sat back to see what would come out to the table. I was first given a complimentary bruschetta with eggplant which was an excellent little appetizer. I then had some potato leek soup which was thick and delicious; a perfect starter on a cold day. Next came my main meal - a bento box with pork katsu. As one would expect, as this meal was prepared by students, there were hits and misses. The pork was cooked well but the coating wasn't quite what I've come to expect (too oily, no crunch - I don't think they used Panko - and over salted). The tempura vegetables were superb. The salad had a bit much dressing on it but I personally like it that way. Dessert was an incredible rich chocolate cake with raspberry filling. The cake itself was worth the price I paid for the entire meal. Prices are insanely cheap and portions are plentiful. The perfection of the food on your plate will vary depending on what students are cooking that day. If you are a risk taker and want to have some fun, this is a great little student restaurant to enjoy some tasty food and give future chefs some experience.

My two kids were enrolled in the School of Caroline for the Spring semester 2026. They attended one class and at the end of class at pick up all the parents and kids were on her lawn (she dismisses from her front door) and as we were getting ready to leave she notified me that my 5 year old son "nicked his finger" (in her exact words) during class and that she put a bandaid on it. Based on what she said and how she communicated it, I expected it to be a small cut on his finger. I didn't think anything of it. When we got home, I eventually removed the bandaid and came to find out he had nearly sliced the whole top of his finger off. He ended up having to wear a splint and keep if completely bandaged with antibiotic ointment for weeks for it to heal. Was my issue that my son hurt himself? No. Kids get injured all the time. My issue was with her lack of communication and failure to recognize or admit that it should have been handled or communicated any differently. A few days later, I received an email from her stating the only way we (and everyone else in the class) could continue with her class is if we signed a release of liability and waiver. If we didn't sign it, kids could not attend. After asking some follow up questions about the waiver and how she plans to handle situations like this in the future and her being completely defensive I told her "if you can't recognize that my sons injury was not "minor" and that it it probably should have been handled in a better way then I don't know if this class is for us." She mentioned that anyone that did not want to sign the waiver would be refunded "for the remaining of the semester." That is what we decided to do. Once the refund was processed, I realized she charged us for another class we did not attend. When I questioned her about this she said it was because we pulled out 24 hours before the class. Though she had never once mentioned to us that this was a thing. I debated whether or not to share anything online. Especially because my kids actually really did enjoy the class (beyond my sons incident). The class itself would get a 5 star review like many others have said. I really wanted to make it work and asked her if we could please resolve this in a good way because I would really love my kids to be able to attend. The issue became more about how she handled a difficult situation, her lack of transparent communication with us, her defensiveness and dismissal through the process, and her failure to follow through with what she said.

Shrimp bruschetta- A large shrimp on top of bruschetta, placed squarely in a plate of fennel broth. The broth was an interesting take, as the bruschetta soaked it up & became slightly mushy/slightly crusty. Poached sole- A large fillet of sole, paired with carrots, asparagus and fennel. I could taste the sole was previously frozen, as I've caught & cooked sole, which is a fatty & flavorful fish. The fillet could've used more sauce. Panna cotta- A winner! The pulled sugar was fun to eat, providing a contrast in texture to the creamy panna cotta. Service was excellent. The predicament involved having the joy sucked out of food due to a VERY restricted diet. What does 2 informal foodies do with a new lifestyle that consists of staying under 15 grams of saturated fat per day, under 1500 mg of salt per day (that's under 1 tsp), kicking out cholesterol-high foods like shrimp and red meat and other general un-fun new rules? We looked for help! We ate pretty healthy to begin with...but with so many new rules, we went looking for culinary expertise. I tried meal services but was amazed at how limited those are to diets like Keto that are the exact opposite of what the Cardiologist was telling us to do. Enter in Whole Health Everyday which I found right here on Yelp. Chef Rebecca Club, the owner, spent time with me on the phone and in a short period of time, was able to assess exactly what I needed. She matched us with Chef Robert, a culinary genius that literally brought sunlight back to our dreary diet. On Thursdays, Chef Robert would cook for us for the week, in our kitchen, wearing a mask because of our immunocompromised situation (check with Chef Rebecca if you have this issue b/c not all Chefs will do this) for the whole week. He would make family meals in my own large casserole tupperwares that we could then assemble for breakfast/lunch/dinner. I need a whole paragraph to describe Chef Robert's special dishes. He makes a tray of ground turkey and black bean enchiladas in a verde sauce that will make you cry! He makes egg white bites that are better anything I've ever had before and these are NOT made with heavy cream! I could literally go on and on but maybe I'll just leave you with some of my fave dishes... *Ginger chicken breast bahn mi with jalepenos, picked daikon and carrots *Tilapia tacos with cabbage, pico de gallo, and yogurt crema *Japanese chicken meat balls with sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts *Tuna Poke with mango and avocado served with cucumber slices and low fat/salt chips *Chili con turkey, kidney beans, peppers, avocado and cheese I can only imagine what Chef Robert could do if he could cook with as much salt and fat as he liked! The process for our weekly sessions looked like this: 1) Chef Robert would email us over the weekend with meal suggestions 2) We choose what we want, or ask for more suggestions until we finalize the meals for that week 3) He sends us a shopping list by Tuesday night 4) We order grocery pickup for the things on the list and have everything in our fridge by Thursday morning 5) Chef Robert comes Thursday morning, cooks like crazy (sometimes using the grill outside, our Vitamix etc) 6) Chef Robert shows us where everything is, what sauce goes with what, how to assemble a sushi handroll (yes he would make us sodium light sushi and taught us how to roll it) etc. 7) Chef Robert would clean the kitchen so it looked perfect before he left 8) I would receive an invoice from Whole Health Everyday for that session, it would hit my credit card and I would repeat the next week I really cannot recommend Whole Health Everyday enough. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!
