I was looking for someone who could recreate a cake from a picture and make most of the decorations edible. I originally wanted to go with an in-store bakery, but after finding Cheyberries on Yelp and seeing how beautiful her cakes were, I decided to give her a try. All communication was done by email with a couple text messages. Cheyberries responded to all inquiries and follow up questions in a timely manner. Before committing, I ordered a sample cake box so my family and I could taste the cake. We choose vanilla batter with blue buttercream icing on the inside and outside. Everyone agreed that the cake was good, so we placed a deposit for the cake. We also received a dozen free cupcakes through one of her promotional emails. On the day of the event, Cheyberries delivered the cake directly to our venue on time. Long story short, the cake turned out even more beautiful than I imagined and was one of the highlights of the event. It was literally the talk of the room! For example, I have been to plenty of events where people politely take a slice of cake, but I have never seen guests go back for seconds and finish the entire cake before the event was even over. There were people asking for more cake to take a slice home but it was all devoured! It really was that good. Not only was the design stunning, but the cake tasted just as amazing as it looked. The cake was moist, flavorful, and just right with the sweetness. I would order from Cheyberries again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful, delicious custom cake. read more

I agree with one of the Yelp reviewers regarding Poor Communication. I have been trying to get in touch with someone from this bakery with the phone number on their Yelp page. No answer. No reply from my text messages or voicemail. It's not hard to send a simple text back to a potential customer with a simple "Sorry, I'm booked or I'll return your call by tomorrow". ‍ Luckily, I found other local cake shops who answered my call and questions. read more

Very unresponsive! I started asking her for a cake a little over 2 weeks before the cake is wanted. Her responses were every day. I would respond quick so I can get my cake ordered on time, but she didn't have the same intention. So it took a whole week and a half to get my cake ordered and when it came down to it, she said the date I wanted (Saturday) was booked I could do a couple of days before (Thursday or Friday). Which made me mad because I tried ordering this cake weeks before the actual date! I told her I would take it Friday. She never responded to me! I texted her over and over for a confirmation and she never responded! Friday morning came and I started looking else were which was hard because it only gave that baker 24 hours to make my cake.
