The pace of service was also very slow. From taking almost 10 minutes to order our food to +20 minutes to be served our first plate of food. I understand if it was busy that things would take time. However, there was only one other table of people eating and they already were finishing up eating when we walked in. They start you off with complimentary radish, shredded lettuce salad, and chips & salsa. The fries we ordered were slightly bland and soggy. The kimchi pancake was extremely thin. It barely held together with very little batter. We ordered the 5 piece chicken wings and also a half order of chicken. The chicken wings were not crispy. The half order of chicken wings had more crisp to it which helped to make up for it. Food is ok. Based off all the great reviews we were reading from Yelp, those good reviews could be based off the old ownership and the food under the new ownership is very different. Again I would really like to say that the server was very nice and kind. Ambiance was nice as they have a couple of TVs playing sports to watch. A lively vibe with music and the restaurant was very clean. However overall the food seemed to be lacking in the flavor and texture.

I also noticed they've added quite a few new food items to the menu, so I decided to give one a try. I ordered the pesto mushroom and bacon breadsticks. What I ordered: Coco Pandan Mousse DESSERT: 8/10 I loved how light my mousse was. Most importantly, it actually tasted like pandan! I was worried the pandan flavor was going to be mid and subtle, but each bite had a great pandan flavor. I had a bit of a drive back to my hotel, so I was advised to order mine frozen. I'm glad I took the staff member's advice because by the time I got to my hotel and finished dinner, it had thawed out perfectly. It was still cold-ish, room temp in the best way possible. SERVICE: 9/10 Great customer service! Upon arrival, the staff member who helped me was very nice. I was indecisive about what to order, so I really appreciated that she gave me a rundown and some suggestions on their most popular dishes. Most importantly, I appreciated her concern about my dessert melting by the time I got back to my hotel. If it wasn't for her and her advice to order the dessert frozen, I wouldn't have known and probably would've ended up with a deconstructed dessert. The way she packaged my dessert was also very helpful and considerate. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Definitely a cute place, and I can see this being a great go-to spot for groups. I loved how the back seating area had so many Polaroids plastered all over the walls. There are different types of seating depending on what you're in the mood for, and each seating area has a different vibe. There's also plenty of outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the weather while having your dessert!

They have more Neapolitan options, and I wanted to try the wood-fired pizzas, so we decided to try two of those. We got the Tricolore, which is a white pie with mozzarella, black truffle and basil pesto, and tomato confit. We also got a Prosciutto e Arugula pizza, which is a red pie with crushed Italian tomato, fresh mozzarella, lemon and arugula, fresh prosciutto di parma, evoo, and parmesan. Both were good, but the Tricolore was my favorite of the two! The truffle pesto was so tasty, and I loved the tomato confit! The long strips of prosciutto on the Prosciutto e Arugula pizza always make it a little harder to eat, but it was good nonetheless! I like how the lemon and arugula bring a nice freshness to the pizza. The crust is soft and airy with a thin center. We also got an Arugula Salad with wild arugula, parmesan, a housemade lemon vinaigrette, and housemade croutons. The dressing was yummy and went perfectly with the arugula! Definitely a nice addition to the pizzas. We ordered the food to-go, but it was still great when we got home!

The gluten-sensitive hubby was looking for places that offered gluten-free crust options and this place had come up highly rated so I called in an order for the following pizzas: - Margherita Pizza with cauliflower crust - Carne festa (for our meat-loving friend) We opted for the Neapolitan crust, as we were told the NY style would take longer, but it was also pricier. We hung out at one of the benches out front while waiting for the pizzas, noting the sizable crowds. It was a Friday evening, but still. Mostly local families, it seemed. The staff was friendly and pizzas good. Can't say it was the best cauliflower crust pizza we've ever had, but it got the job done.

Because we come here so often that the staff could treat us more casually, but because of the true Japanese hospitality and professionalism, we are treated with great respect and appreciation that we come to support their small business. We have eaten here and have been coming here since the pandemic and I honestly can say that we have never had a bad experience here. The food is definitely the number one reason we come here, but the service and vibe are also strong reasons to we continue to return here. Also, I don't think I've had anything here that I did not like. Instead of suggesting one item that is a must try, the Omakase Meal is the must try. Whether you are a group of two or more, I personally think the best value on the menu is their Omakase. Depending on how big your party is, depends on how many courses you get. It's great way to try several dishes in one sitting. If you're usually too full to order dessert, you better make room because it is part of the Omakase. I will not guarantee that you will love everything as I do, but if you are a food lover like me, you will appreciate the authenticity of the flavors.

Service was a little slow, but it was understandable given how busy it was tonight. The owner was apologetic, personable, and very kind, which we really appreciated. We ordered the scallop and mushroom risotto and the uni pasta, and both dishes were done really well. The pasta was cooked to perfection and covered in a rich, creamy uni sauce. It came with freshly grated wasabi and nori, which added a fresh kick and extra depth to the dish, really elevating the overall flavor of the pasta. The scallops were seared beautifully and cooked perfectly, maintaining that nice, fresh, bouncy texture. The mushroom risotto was creamy and packed with flavor as well. Everything paired really nicely with the Chardonnay. Would 100% recommend and would definitely come back to try more of the menu!
