Good not great! Have an ordered a few times for delivery because we forget which restaurant we like the best after favorite closed. Both times the chana masala was almost inedible because of how salty it was! (Will not order next time if we do again) It's a pity because it has really great flavor but you have to coat it in rice or bread just to still be way too salty. AND I LOVE SALT. Butter paneer is great! Everything else is good not great. Samosas are on the smaller side compared to how big some restaurants make them. Order: Butter paneer, chana masala, peas pulav, veg. samosa, roti.

We ordered dinner from here through grubhub. Unfortunately, they forgot the 2 orders of garlic naan, which we really couldn't do without. So we ended up ordering 2 more orders of the naan and driving there ourselves to pick it up. The food was actually really good, but I can't see us ordering from here again bc of how inconvenient they made our night by forgetting to pack the naan (we really were needing the naan that day!) I had the paneer butter masala and it was the right amount of spicy. They have a pickup window, which is nice.

This is our go-to Indian food spot in the area and it has never disappointed us. This past round, we ordered saag paneer, butter chicken, and chicken korma, along with sides of garlic naan and paratha breads. All was delicious and an order for two made for several leftover meals after the initial dinner. Anytime we're in the mood for Indian, it's always Spice Room - no question!

Friendly neighborhood Indian restaurant serving variety of the delicious classics of South Asian cuisine. Food: Overall, fresh tasting quality ingredients! Samosa, veggie - 5/5 - simple and popular appetizer; really hard not to get right! Shrimp pakora - 3.5/5 - the deep fried chickpea batter is actually loaded with quite strong spices. The shrimps were small and kind of dry, not as fresh as I would have liked. Also too many deep fried veggies were mixed in to this appetizer Mango chicken - 5/5 - excellent balance of sweet and savory, a favorite! Chicken tikka masala - 4.5/5 - when this came out side by side with the mango chicken, it just couldn't compare to how delicious and superior the mango chicken is to this Butter chicken - 5/5 - perfect creamy savory balance with tender chicken, a favorite! Shrimp korma - 5/5 - delicious rich tasting curry with fresh tasting shrimp Lamb madras - 5/5 - delicious sweet and spicy curry with tender lamb Biryani, chicken - 5/5 - caution... loaded with strong fragrant herbs, so heads up! Mango lassi - 4/5 - delicious, but size too small Ambience: small but the interior decor filled with proud and bright color and culture Service: Fast, efficient. No issues nor outstanding impressions to note

Indian cuisine is my absolute favorite and this is the place that kicked off my obsession! I've been ordering from here faithfully for the past 3 years and at this point, I'm sure they know my Uber eats order by heart. The butter chicken is my go-to but the chicken tikka masala is amazing too. Raita, samosas, and naan are must haves every time. If you're new to Indian food and looking for authenticity, start here!

If there were Thai chilies involved, they were absolutely in the witness protection program. The coconut chutney was good but competed for attention with the bland pancakes. The pancakes were crying for some kind of vegetable topping, some heft, some flavor, and some heat. The mimosa drink was both too sweet and too pricey, like it was designed for someone who forgot to read the menu before ordering (me). I came in with high expectations based on the reviews; I left wishing I'd microwaved an Amy's Tofu Scramble.

Interesting fusion combos that sounded promising, but it just missed the mark for me. I loved the crust for the calzone. It was really good. But the butter chicken didn't have any flavor so it got lost in the crust. I liked the Marry Me cabbage, but it didn't blow sunshine up my skirt. The almonds were a nice added crunch though. They gave the cabbage much needed texture. I think my favorite was the pig cheeks and grits. The meat was perrrfect. Sitting on creamy grits, every bite was delicious. Loved the ice cream sandwiches but found the chai leches cake really bland. It lacked the sweetness you want after a meal. But if you prefer your desserts understated, you might love it Loved my blackberry crumble cocktail. It was a suggestion by my server and she was right. I wouldn't go out of my way for this restaurant. It was definitely a "one and done" for me. I didn't dislike it by any means at all, it just wasn't worth the 26 min it took to find a parking spot. With that in mind, take the L and/or walk. Don't do as I did and drive. It's all permit parking around there.

But they are distinct that I like some of their food and I didn't know any buffets and I kept seeing this restaurant whenever I go to work in downtown Chicago. When I take the blue line and I kept seeing this restaurant when I would eat at Thai lagoon across the street. Well this was my payday and I decided to give this place a bucket list try. It is also still lent so I'm still following the Catholic not eating red meat or poultry. The waitress in regards to service since they just opened up I learned by coincidence since they were renovating mentioned that they did have seafood entrees and of course I didn't want shrimp I ate more on the fish side and they had salmon. But to start off I had the crispy onion pakora which was delicious for an appetizer It's basically almost like a deep fried onion ring with a fresh spinach colored emerald green dip that compliments and it was not too greasy. Then came My main dish of the salmon tikka masala and garlic naan. I would have ordered this in beef or lamb for tikka masala but since it's lent for me I have to eat fish It was okay but it would have been better if this was lamb if I could imagine chewing and savoring The pasty almost tomato like sauce with its spices and tanginess but it also tasted good to it salmon but lamb would have been better. The naan was ok I think a bit too garlicky but I would probably order the butter one next time cuz this was a garlic naan. They're mango lassi was very fresh however one of the reasons for the four stars although they gave me one on the house because they had a very limited dessert menu with ice cream and that's not really traditional Indian. But going back with the lasee the portion was just too small for $5. I would come back again other than that they gave the second last seat on the house and I didn't get charged but I would suggest they add a bigger mango lassee I had mentioned to the waitress or server. Ambiance was a little modern like I said they just opened after 3 weeks of being closed otherwise I came by coincidence that they just opened since the renovation.
