Parking is free on North Ave. and Western Ave., but parking is pretty packed even on the weekend. The place has mostly small tables so highly recommend non-peak hours for large parties. The portions are decent sized for the price. The waitress was friendly and checked in a couple of times. The Rangoli Platter for appetizer was pretty big. We all liked the lamb marsala. The Fish Vindaloo was the spiciest, no bones on the fish. The lamb biryani feels like the lamb was cooked separately from the basmati rice, so the flavor wasn't as immersed in the rice. We also had Chicken 65, butter chicken, and palak paneer. The Chicken in butter chicken was all breast meat so it feels a little dry. I might try carry out next time instead of dining in.

    Dosa

We went for the unlimited dosa deal and it was very underwhelming. Everything lacked flavor and was lukewarm. Even adding some salt would have made it a little better. They gave us one bowl of sambar between two people and never asked if wanted a refill even though it's supposed to be 'unlimited'. Maybe the other items on the menu are better, but i wouldn't recommend the dosa

Tired this place on a Friday night. We started off with Gobi Manchurian which was delicious. For main course we then had Kofta Makhani and Lamb Curry with tandoori roti and Naan. The food was tasty and was served hot. The service was great and the Indian server was very warm. The ambiance is just ok. I would say this place was a pleasant surprise with Indian flavours. I would recommend to try it!

I got the Madras Lamb Korma delivery and it was delicious. It came with an order of rice. It was a great dish, pretty spicy but not too spicy. We also ordered the garlic naan which was tasty as well.

Solid and consistent food. We have only ordered delivery, but see there is a new Belmont location we might try in person. Chicken Saag - chicken is a bit dry. Wish they still had the Saag Paneer, but they took it off the menu. Chicken Chettinad - perfectly lightly spicy. Paneer Butter Masala - tried this, it's got good sauce but didn't prefer the texture of this paneer. We tried this in place of my much loved Saag Paneer, but that was recently removed from the menu. We always get the fried appetizers and the chicken biryani and a Chicken Tikka Masala for this kids.

solid food with very nice staff and a cute enough space conveniently right down the street from my apartment. Lakeview in general suffers from a lack of Indian food options, so it's great to see this open up and Cumin (Indian/Nepalese) coming later this year. we started with the pav bhaji and then had some garlic naan with the kashmiri pulav rice that was so very good, along with two of the typical chicken dishes and took some gulab jamun to go (my fav Indian dessert!). excited to go back and have some more non-standard options on the menu.

Food and service are excellent. The only problem that annoyed me was the dozens of food delivery drivers coming in the front door, disturbing the dining vibe for all the customers. My suggestion to the owners is have all your delivery pickups in the rear, this will be a better experience for those who are dining up front Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Malai kofta- not sweet at all, the koftas were not solid enough & broke apart at the slightest touch(3/5) Chicken bagara- this is more like an Indian twist to Thai curry. Very different flavor! (3.5/5)

If there were Thai chilies involved, they were absolutely in the witness protection program. The coconut chutney was good but competed for attention with the bland pancakes. The pancakes were crying for some kind of vegetable topping, some heft, some flavor, and some heat. The mimosa drink was both too sweet and too pricey, like it was designed for someone who forgot to read the menu before ordering (me). I came in with high expectations based on the reviews; I left wishing I'd microwaved an Amy's Tofu Scramble.

Interesting fusion combos that sounded promising, but it just missed the mark for me. I loved the crust for the calzone. It was really good. But the butter chicken didn't have any flavor so it got lost in the crust. I liked the Marry Me cabbage, but it didn't blow sunshine up my skirt. The almonds were a nice added crunch though. They gave the cabbage much needed texture. I think my favorite was the pig cheeks and grits. The meat was perrrfect. Sitting on creamy grits, every bite was delicious. Loved the ice cream sandwiches but found the chai leches cake really bland. It lacked the sweetness you want after a meal. But if you prefer your desserts understated, you might love it Loved my blackberry crumble cocktail. It was a suggestion by my server and she was right. I wouldn't go out of my way for this restaurant. It was definitely a "one and done" for me. I didn't dislike it by any means at all, it just wasn't worth the 26 min it took to find a parking spot. With that in mind, take the L and/or walk. Don't do as I did and drive. It's all permit parking around there.

But they are distinct that I like some of their food and I didn't know any buffets and I kept seeing this restaurant whenever I go to work in downtown Chicago. When I take the blue line and I kept seeing this restaurant when I would eat at Thai lagoon across the street. Well this was my payday and I decided to give this place a bucket list try. It is also still lent so I'm still following the Catholic not eating red meat or poultry. The waitress in regards to service since they just opened up I learned by coincidence since they were renovating mentioned that they did have seafood entrees and of course I didn't want shrimp I ate more on the fish side and they had salmon. But to start off I had the crispy onion pakora which was delicious for an appetizer It's basically almost like a deep fried onion ring with a fresh spinach colored emerald green dip that compliments and it was not too greasy. Then came My main dish of the salmon tikka masala and garlic naan. I would have ordered this in beef or lamb for tikka masala but since it's lent for me I have to eat fish It was okay but it would have been better if this was lamb if I could imagine chewing and savoring The pasty almost tomato like sauce with its spices and tanginess but it also tasted good to it salmon but lamb would have been better. The naan was ok I think a bit too garlicky but I would probably order the butter one next time cuz this was a garlic naan. They're mango lassi was very fresh however one of the reasons for the four stars although they gave me one on the house because they had a very limited dessert menu with ice cream and that's not really traditional Indian. But going back with the lasee the portion was just too small for $5. I would come back again other than that they gave the second last seat on the house and I didn't get charged but I would suggest they add a bigger mango lassee I had mentioned to the waitress or server. Ambiance was a little modern like I said they just opened after 3 weeks of being closed otherwise I came by coincidence that they just opened since the renovation.
