This place is okay to grab some large Indian dishes. I say okay because within the last year it seems the menu/ownership has changed and the staple dishes taste different. It's hard to get in touch with them over the phone as I've tried in the past and it was ringing every 5 minutes with no one answer while we dined here. Slightly on the pricier side but fast service and big portions.

We ordered this from Uber eats and when it arrived there was a hair in the curry. This is atrocious. I hope after seeing this the restaurant will take steps to improve their hygiene.

I'm craving good Pakistani food, don't want to go all the way to Devon and Yelp points me to New Zaika grill. I was in no way expecting a sit down, well decorated, "let me bring my friends here for dinner one day" kind of a restaurant but I was expecting to not be the only woman there. The staff was really nice about it though and didn't make me feel awkward. Although I'm pretty sure I received better customer service than everyone else. I went on a Friday around lunch which one of their busiest times. Within minutes of my arrival the place was flooded with people coming from prayer and it became extremely obvious that this place is really meant for cab drivers needing to take a lunch break. The food was amazing and fresh. The biryani was my favorite and the seekh kabobs were pretty good too. The naan was cooked to perfection! I'd probably order to go next time or stop in when it's less crowded. I've started to crave the biryani! It really is the most authentic I've had from a restaurant and probably the best dish on the menu!

I have been going to this place for about over 6 months now. Almost every alternate night, being from Pakistan, this is the most authentic Pakistani food I have had in US by far, even better than Devon. The good thing is the variety on display, especially for a meat lover like me, and it's all zabiha halal. They have different specials everyday, so there is no monotony there. From nihari (a beef curry dish) to biryani (rice with chicken and some amazing spices) to karhi (you have to eat it to know what it is) to daal (lentils), the food here is just awesome. The only reason I give it a 4 stars is the location and the environment, it has kind of a dhabba vibe to the place that is its predominantly for guys like taxi drivers etc, rarely would you see a girl (I have only seen a woman once) or a family. That said though, if you let them know ahead of time, they might create a small segregation using curtains if you are bringing your family, I have seen that happen too once. The food is cheap, a full serving is only for 9 or 10 bucks, and they have some a la carte dishes you can order too, mostly bar be que. If you do end up going there, I would suggest you eat either the frontier chicken the first time up, with Naan, or their mutton dish of the day, with chapati. I am sure you'll get hooked the same way I am, and parking is 99% of the time no trouble.

The food was delicious and every bite honestly was amazing we had the goat empanadas, the pita, and the shrimp salad. We shared between my mom and I and it was perfect I honestly wouldn't have changed a thing. We ended with the popcorn desert and I would say we had the perfect meal. I had the mezcal drink which was top notch, sun kid was good as well. I will say we did want to sit outside and they do outside reservations day of which I think is annoying to be from out of town and not know that, we planned this long ago for my birthday but besides that we got end bar seats and actually ended up giving up our table because they were better and we enjoyed watching the bar tenders. They also gave me a birthday ice cream which was a nice treat. We had great service, at the bar as well.

Quick take: Way overrated…read more As soon as our party were all standing inside the restaurant we went back to the hostess to check in. Hostess informed us we had to be done by 6:45pm. Reservation was at 5:30pm. No hello, no how are you. This is why I don't like overhyped places. Customer service sucks. We had two birthday girls with a party of six. One of the birthday girls really wanted to try this place out. All the dishes were very heavy on salt. After dining here I'm not sure what the hype is about this place.

I've come to Cairo Kebab, an Egyptian restaurant, a few times for lunch and dinner. Below are some…read morethoughts. Mezza [Combo platter including Baba Ghanoush, Hummus, Ta'ameya(falafel), Tabboula(salad): Our favorite was the Banana Ghanoush, as it was one of the most flavorful baba ghanoush I have had and contained a very good char. The hummus was a little more on the sour side, and the texture of the salad was refreshing. The bread was also made fresh and was refillable as well, which we appreciated. My friend liked the falafel, but I think it was a little too dry, and I wish they could increase the intensity of the spices to make it pop out more. The chili sauce helped a lot though. Cairo Platter (Kofta, Chicken, Beef): The Kofta is my favorite-seasoned, soft and tender. Out of the two times I got this, the chicken and the beef were not as moist/juicy-they were okay. Overall I wish they gave us more Kofta though, since there wasn't much of it, and the platter was on the pricier side. Shawarma Plate: The shawarma was tasty and the portions were good. I personally liked adding the chili sauce on top. Macorrona Bechamel: Our favorite dish. It tasted like Mac and cheese but the flavors are even more nuanced and complex. Very delicious and honestly we wished we ordered one per person . Overall I really like the restaurant, and I think some of the dishes were really well made, you just need to find them :). I hope the quality is more consistent as we will visit again.
