These guys exceeded all of our expectations! We had a spa delivered curbside Saturday. After about an hour of considering the possibilities on Saturday evening, we realized my boyfriend's buddies were certain to break the tub and likely to hurt ourselves if we attempted it. I called as soon as they opened Monday. Austen had a crew in the area and in 45 minutes, these guys were on it. 25 minutes later it was on the pad and Austen even gave me a few pointers as I was a new owner. Obviously, this quick of a response was partial perfect timing, but these guys were professional in both their service, knowledge & skill. Well I wish I'd be able to give the guys a better review but the truth is they don't answer the phone nor return the phone messages or emails to even be able to use their service. I am a relocation specialist and have referred multiple clients to this place. I recently found out only one was successful at using their services. I have a large sized hot tub of my own that I needed moved from my current house that just sold , stored for 6-8 months and then moved to the new house when it was built. Figured I'd call the people I've been referring over the last year. After not ever hearing a response back, I called a few of my past clients and asked how their experience was with this place. All but one said they would have loved to use their services but never could get in touch with them. I was so embarrassed that I had provided them with a referral source that was unreliable. Spa movers - I highly suggest you start answering your phone to the people who are basically throwing money your way and will help keep you in business. Communication is absolutely horrendous and I don't know how a business operates like The Spa Movers. Job was to move spa from my driveway to a slab in our backyard. Over the course of the two weeks leading up to my spa being delivered I never received one call back from The Spa Movers and only spoke to someone (Austin) on the off chance that he picked up when I called. It took numerous calls and voicemails before I actually spoke with Austin to receive a quote for the move. We discussed the price and how we would wait till I had a definite window that our delivery truck would be dropping the spa off at our house. We were given a delivery day/time by our delivery truck and again I called Austin multiple times before reaching him to schedule the move. He scheduled his move with us for Friday afternoon and then just completely no showed/no called us. We had literally talked to him just a couple hours before his scheduled time to make sure he had my husbands number since I had to be at work. It has now been 5 days and he has not returned a single call, voicemail, text or email. I don't know how a business can run so unprofessionally. Not only did it suck that we had a giant hot tub living in our driveway until we found someone else to move it for us but we're building a deck around this tub that all had to come to a complete halt as well. When I reached out to Austen, he put my concerns to rest that his crew would facilitate the move from the driveway where it was being delivered to the backyard slab we had built. Ultimately a no call no show. Had to call multiple times throughout the day to confirm they were actually coming on the scheduled day. They claimed delays which is understandable but not calling to give updates or not calling to say that they wont be able to make it and attempt to re-schedule is unacceptable. I have bought spas from these guys two different times , one was a swim spa and it was very heavy. I found thecompanies customer service to be very good. They called me several times before the move to make sure that we could coordinate someone being there as it was to be moved through our fence. I have used Austen and his crew 3 times to move my Spa. Every time they have been on time on budget and I have never had any problems. I highly recommend these guys. Austin contacted me after seeing I had a tub on Craigslist for sale and offered his companies services. Last week I had a buyer for the hot tub and forwarded to my buyer Austin's contact information. Based on the phone conversation and the subsequent written quotation, my buyer committed to the purchase. Hired by my buyer to pickup and deliver, Austin came to my home, surveyed the location (on a patio 5.5 feet of the ground), then determined he didn't quote high enough and (per my buyer) decided not to honor their quote. Now my buyer is forced to look for alternate transporters, and I have offered a credit back to cover additional costs in order to prevent the loss of the sale. Highly unprofessional. read more

Austen and crew did a good job of moving and storing my spa, while i was relocating. Upon delivery at the new location, several knobs and the cover lift were missing. The knobs were easy enough for me to replace cheaply, which I did. I've been told they will replace the lift at their cost several times. At this point, 3 months later, there is still no lift. I've been told "we're getting some in today and we'll send one right out to "we're going to order one and drop ship it to your house". At this point I have no expectation it will be replaced. I don't how this company got such good reviews. i called Austin on Friday at this company and was told they could move my hot tub the following Wednesday. Wed came and they were a no-show. I even took off work to wait for them. I called their number and left a detailed message and never received a call back. i even left a message through their web site. no response My wife finally got in touch with Austin on his cell phone and he asked her to email the details AGAIN. I set up an appointment with Austin for him to pick up a hot tub last Monday at 1pm letting him know that there was a new hot tub being delivered there a few days later. He never showed up and never called. After leaving 2 messages and sending a text he finally called after 5pm to say he got caught in traffic (without ever calling). He then told me he would call me within 1 hour to set up a new time for the next day. He never called and never returned my call or text sent the following day. It is now 6 days later and he still has not called. If you read the other reviews, this company is obviously ok with wasting peoples time and just not returning calls. On the other hand, IRON MAN MOVING was less expensive and wonderful with doing what he promises. read more

Let me start at the end: I had a spa. I no longer have one. I have no idea where it is. In the beginning, April, 2013, I read the Yelp reviews and called Spa Mover to see about moving and storing my spa. The owner was cordial and professional sounding, and showed up on the appointed day, removed the spa without damaging it, I paid him his fee in cash, and we agreed he would take the spa to his warehouse, clean it, fill it, and sell it. He quoted a sale price of around $2,000, and said he would earn his money by installing it for the new buyer. A couple months went by, and I checked with him. He was evasive, said he hadn't had time to get it set up. A couple more months went by, and I checked with him. He was more evasive, and said he hadn't had time to set it up. The next time I was able to reach him (after multiple attempts) he suggested that the spa be taken out to the Dell Diamond by his company to sell at an expo that was going to be held. I agreed. More time went by. More phone calls were not returned. By the way, I'm still talking about 2013. Finally I caught him on the phone, and the story suddenly became a little different: he had "consigned" the spa to an unnamed company to sell at the Dell expo, and when I asked how much it sold far he stammered a little bit and then said "$1,500." I was surprised, and quite suspicious whether that was the correct price. And also, he now had charged me a "commission" of $300, and assured me he would have a "cashier's check" to me within days. Forward into 2014. I call now and then and leave messages asking for a return call, and he never calls back. I of course have never seen the "cashier's check." I emailed through his website, with no response. I assume, given the history outlined here, that I will never see my spa again, and never receive the funds promised. It's surprising and disappointing that a guy running a company doesn't return phone calls. It's surprising to me that the story changed so much over time. I was also surprised to learn that my recourse is only via civil court, i.e. small claims court. I hope at least someone is enjoying a high end, bargain priced spa somewhere. My advice to anyone considering using this company is to consider very carefully what I have said here. UPDATE: Within hours of posting the above review, I suddenly got a call from the guy I called the owner, Austin. I called him the owner because in my earlier dealings his comments had led me to believe he is the owner. Now, suddenly he was just a simple employee, and "they" had moved him to Houston some time ago, therefore he didn't know about all my phone calls, etc, and he'd just gotten the information I had never been paid for the spa at the mysterious alleged sale at Dell Diamond. The tale he told was yet a different version of who sold the spa, and yet a different version of why "they" had planned (I say planned because to that point I had received no payment) to charge me a commission. I won't bore you with all the details of the conversation, but will report that Austin appeared on my doorstep the following day, Saturday, and handed my wife 15 hundred dollar bills, and asked her to sign an electronic receipt. So, a year after driving away with my spa, I finally received some money for it. I attribute the sudden contact and payment directly to this Yelp review. I still have no certainty regarding how much the spa sold for, but at this stage, after all this, I accepted the funds offered. If you're reading this you are smart enough to make up your own mind about the company. My tub was in a screened in porch - the guy came out and inspected the area and realized it would take 4 guys to move the tub. They came again the next week and moved the tub within an hour. They were very professional and moved the tub without damaging my property. I am very pleased with their work. read more

I had scheduled a move 8 days in advance. They were scheduled for a Tuesday. I was promised a confirmation call on Monday. Never received a call. I called four times to confirm, never received a response. My wife took off of work to be available. It's poor business to not keep scheduled appointments nor response to customers calls. This company moved a SPA from my house for the buyer to whom I sold it. They promised to take it through the fence gate. In my absence they took down a whole section of my fence to remove the spa. They left the fence unattached. When I arrived back to the house that section of fence was lying face down on the ground What is more they hit a hose bib and it snapped off inside the wall of the house. I had to have immediately repaired as water was spilling out at many gallons per minute into the yard and into the wall of the house. When sent the bill they refused to pay for the damages and said I cannot prove they caused the damage This company is very unprofessional and not very skilled at what they do from my experience. In my opinion you want to avoid these people and find someone who knows what they are doing. A very costly experience to have these people on my property. Beware of this company and the delivery guy Austin . He just delivered a spa in my yard and refused to put it on the deck. Claiming the deck was too small. Deck company came out and immediately fixed the issue. Spa movers refused to come back, and left my spa in the yard. Said they could come back in a week. Who wants a spa left in the yard for a week. Very unprofessional didn't even try to resolve any issues just said call your deck company left me a box of chemicals and left. No instructions booklets on how to operate, No conversation just the cold shoulder routine very, very unprofessional. Check face book for more complaints on him from others. Poor service. He thinks the world revolves around him and not the customer. I thought when you paid for a service you were the customer and everything revolves around you and your schedule. Don't use this company they don't answer the phone and if he doesn't like the way your deck looks he claims it too small call your deck company to make adjustments. In my case my deck company said he told them the size was ok he just didn't feel comfortable with that size and wanted 1 inch and a quarter more space. Cmon man thats ridiculous. The Spa Mover Austin. This business has a slick looking website that says they can service hot tubs and spas. This guy is the absolutely the worst service business I have ever dealt with. He came to repair the audio system and a" weak jet" in late October. What he did was disassemble the cover lifter, disconnect the pumps and close it back up. He said he would look at the schematics and contact me the following day. He asked for his $75.00 trip charge in advance and that is the last I have seen of him. I found out the pump had been sabotaged when I tried to fill up the tub and the water came out the bottom. I have left dozens of messages that have all been ignored. When I did get him to answer the phone once, he said he was going to come and repair the spa that week. That has been over 3 weeks again. This business could not fix a peanut butter sandwich. What I got for my service charge is that they have broken my tub that was previously working, left it in parts, made it unusable and been totally ignored and mistreated for over 3 months. I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy. Like I said he has a very cool looking website, talks the talk, but is nothing but close to being a sham.
