I've brought my mini bernedoodle, Izzy, here three times. The first time and this last time we saw Tanya. She is AMAZING!!! My dog had a horrible experience at a different establishment and was truly traumatized. When I brought her in she was giving Tanya kisses - my dog trusted her. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER go to this groomer again!! I got there with my dog to have his nails trimmed. I asked about using a Dremel and was told, "We really only use the Dremel for dogs who's owners are on blood thinners and they have a habit of jumping up. Besides, you won't get much length off with a Dremel. That's what the clippers do." They brought my dog out and all they did was a LAZY TIP JOB on his nails. When I brought him in I told them, "He is a SHOW DOG and has a show this weekend. Please trim them as short as you can go" They OBVIOUSLY have never trimmed a Basset Hound's nails before. Then when my wife called, the owner flat out LIED to her on the phone and said, "Well I told your husband that we could Dremel for $5 more but he didn't seem interested in getting it done." LIAR!!!!! We wound up going somewhere closer to our house where the groomer knew EXACTLY what to do and she trimmed AND Dremel'd his nails and they look PERFECT! NEVER NEVER EVER GOING TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!! I HOPE MY $20 WAS WORTH THE LOSS OF BUSINESS. FYI, we have 3 dogs in total so they lost grooming rights to 2 show dogs and word of mouth to the show community and 1 rescue dog and word of mouth to the rescue community in the area. YOUR TOTAL LACK OF CARE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL COST YOU NEW AND FUTURE BUSINESS. We had to switch from our old place because they went out of business and were so scared to try a new one out. BOY were we happy we found The Spa For Dogs. They care so much about the animals and make it very comfortable to make appointments and leave the dog there for a little longer if we need. Miyong is the best groomer ever. I moved here from Wags on Willow because she moved to this place. The people here are awful. They are so disorganized. They use post it notes for everything and leave it in random places. The owner is rude. He claimed he called me several times: I showed him my call log, and there were no calls from him To pick up my dog. He referred to my dog as a girl multiple times even though I told him my dog was a boy. Also he never got my dog's name right. It's Kanga (short for kangaroo). Very hard concept for the owner to understand. Wish Miyong would move from this place. My dog loves Miyong but I will not return here because this place is awful. read more

This place Gets a 5 star! Bill at the front was friendly and really helpful. I love that they treated my dog Meeshka so special, I didn't feel like just another customer. My dog is half collie and Shepard mix and the cut was perfect! Bill took the time to talk to me and pay attention to Meeshka to make sure he had what services I wanted all right. We recently rescued our dog daisy. She has been through a lot in life and can be very scared in new situations. I wanted to make sure her first grooming session was with someone compassionate and would be kind to her. The Spa for Dogs is amazing! They do not use harnesses or crates so the dogs are 100% safe and Daisy enjoyed her time socializing with the other dogs. When I came to pick her up, she was sleeping behind the counter with another small dog. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen! Daisy looks beautiful and she absolutely loved the spa for dogs. I recently moved to the area and I was looking for a great groomer that doesn't put the animals in cages. I took my Bernese Mountain Dog "Sophie" here at the end of September and both she and I were very impressed! She is a nervous dog and wouldn't go in the front door, but someone helped me get her out of the car (for the second time) and bring her inside. Once inside, she was fine. When she was done,they called me so I could come right away without having to have her wait a long time. However they have a wonderful area where the dogs can play and socialize while they wait to be groomed and then wait for the owners. It's like they get a mini daycare session with their grooming, so we were quite happy and I felt very comfortable leaving her for her appointment. The groomer did a great job - she smelled lovely and had a cute little pink bandana to go home with. We will definitely be back! read more

We get so many compliments on how great he looks and we always tell people to go to Spa for Dogs. I have even convinced some folks to switch from their current groomers. They really care about the dogs, they are gentle, sweet and are very genuine people. I had a clear conversation with Tania and the owner about my expectations. It's as if no one was listening at all. I wanted my 6 month old Bichon poodle's hair cut down about an inch (was 3 inches long). Not only did they cut her to about 1/2 inch, but they shaved around her eyes so close she was bleeding on both sides. They put bows in her hair without asking if I wanted any. She looks like a poodle, exactly not the look I was going for....cookie cutter cut. I could not be more disappointed. They treat my dogs like they are their own and Bella gets so excited to see Sharon. No cages and lots of friendly dogs having fun. I would consider myself extremely picky when it comes to groomers for our Imperial Shih Tzu. She is under ten pounds and we are very protective over her. I have been bringing my pug & pekingese here since they first opened. I like that because my pekingese is older & slow, they put her in a separate area so that she doesn't get stepped on. The owner's are so friendly and easy to talk to. They really treat your pet like family. read more

My wife and I take our shih tzu here for grooming. I can't say enough good things about this place. They have always gotten us in whether it's been on short notice or with no rush for an appointment. Most importantly, our puppy absolutely loves coming and getting groomed. There have been two different ladies to groom her and both have done an awesome job. Seriously, my wife and I get so lame when we pick her up after being groomed. We have to take pictures and comment the whole car ride home how beautiful she is and how good of a job they do. This goes on for about 48 hours before we return to our normal selves. My wife has very specific instructions for them as to how she wants our puppy's hair cut and not cut. They have accommodated her desires each time. The staff have a note card so if I do the drop off then my wife's instructions are on file instead of me having to remember them. As far as price goes, I'm very happy with it. I feel it is very fair and I feel that my puppy is in good hands until I pick her back up. read more
