The best groomer we've ever had. We have the furriest Golden R. She makes him beautiful!

We've tried a LOT of groomers for my very sweet Labradoodle Tilly. We had a lot of bad experiences before finding Barks and Bows. My poor pup has had her ears all nicked up at other grooming places, she even had diarrhea for days after going to another. With Barks and Bows, there has never been a problem, I feel like the owner really listens to how I want Tilly groomed, and takes the time to do the job right. She comes out super clean and adorable with a seasonal bandana on. My dog also loves that the owner doesn't put her in a cage while she's waiting for me to pick her up. I highly recommend Barks and Bows. read more

Best Dog Groomer In the area! The owner is so kind and patient with all of our dogs that we have brought to her. The dogs come back come back looking beautiful and happy. The owners is very patient and always sends them back smelling great and with a nice hair cut upon our request. She is always making sure we are getting what we've asked for which is very reassuring. Also, she is extremely timely which is so much appreciated by both the pups and us. The dogs are finished off the visit with a nice bandana and plenty of treats. The price for grooming is beyond worth it. Barks & Bows is extremely clean and also felt very safe with covid protocols. The women who greeted me the other day is one amazing human being. I called everywhere trying to find a groomer for a very neglected foster dog I picked up earlier in the day. Even after explaining the story to dozens of groomers nobody had availability for at least 2 weeks. He had severe mats, odors and was just a straight up mess. She moved her schedule around and lovingly reached out to me to move me up to a sooner appointment. He needed a very short haircut due to the stubborn mats. I can't wait to see how fluffy he gets. My pup was so happy and clean after the long 5 hour job he needed! He even had a cute bandana. I will be coming back here for sure and recommend you do too! read more

Myong is fantastic. My little pup, Clarence is the best thing in my life and it honestly took so much time before I decided it was time for him to get groomed. It totally terrified me to get him groomed because I heard such horror stories from pet chain stores. I found Barks & Bows because it was next door to the vet's office and after doing some Yelp and Google research, I decided it was a perfect fit. Making an appointment with Myong is seemless, you can call or do an appointment on their website. I chose to do it online and she called back within the day and let me know my appointment slot was not available and offered some different dates. Just a helpful tip, if you want to make an appointment on the weekend, make it like a month or more in advance, since those fill up quick. Also, if you have a squirmy dog, take them very early in the morning so she can dedicate more attention to them. My little Clarence is very squirmy and terrified of everything in the world, so Myong told me mornings are best for him. She was also very knowledgable because when I mentioned I wanted his fur to be shorter, she automatically knew that his breed (pomeranian) should not be shaved because they are prone to alopecia if shaved. I was glad, I didn't have to say the whole lecture on shaving his fur, that I had prepared. She did a great job getting his fur shorter without shaving him and the fur was very even and nice. I was also so happy that Myong did not cut his whiskers! In the end, I had a very cute and well groom little pup! read more

mayong does a nice job grooming my Havanese and the shop is spotless. that being said, even if you have an appointment your dog sometimes can be there for up to five hours. This happens because she will take dogs that do not have appointments and squeeze them in ahead of others that do have appointments. She is a very angry and abrupt person. If you ask around you will find many people that will tell you the same thing. read more

We have brought our 80 lb bouvier des flandres and 10 lb cockapoo to Myong for years. She has always treated our dogs with so much respect. Coco, our bouvier has a phobia of people touching her paws which is extremely unfortunate for anyone trying to give her a haircut or trim her nails. Myong does an amazing job even with our difficult pups. The dogs aren't kept in cages, they have private pens with beds and are in the open. The spa is clean, well kept, and is decorated like a boutique. It really is a nice place and low stress on your pets. You don't have a ton of caged dogs barking at all times. She feeds them high quality treats and does not re-use toothbrushes like a lot of dog salons do. We are so lucky to have found Myong and Barks and Bows. We have tried mobile vans and other salons in the Northshore but this is by far the best gem. read more

I can not say how happy I am with the service, kindness, respect and professionalism. This was my first time bringing my two Yorkies to Barks and Bows. My one Yorkie is so difficult and doesn't like grooming and nail trimming. The owner was so patient, kind and just amazing with him. Love this place...so clean, smells good and homey. Love Myong for accommodating my Kodi on a weekend without appointment. Plus, exceptionally good services...my Kodi looked so happy when I picked him up...he doesn't look so anxious which was our experience before whenever I bring him to big company dog spas in the hood that's why I just give him a bath my self for the past months...but, Kodi needs nail trimming and I cannot do it myself, I am so happy I found this place! Owner is no nonsense but did a great job grooming my dog in a reasonable amount of time, not the 3 or 4 hour range ala Petsmart. The grooming salon is very clean and well kept, I felt comfortable leaving my dog there. After the session was over, I was really happy with how great my dog looked and smelled, he was so soft for several days after so she must be using pretty high quality bathing products. We recently rescued a Maltese puppy who was in desperate need of a groom. He had severe mats, fleas, odors, the whole nine yards. Best dog groomer! I took my puppy here as the place I usually go to was not able to make an appointment as they were not booking advance appointments during the pandemic. The owner is lovely. We made a couple earlier appointments that had to be canceled because of the quarantine but she got my dog in right when they opened as she called me in advance to put me on the schedule. Very professional. It took longer than most groomers as my dog was there from noon until 5:15 but I'm sure it was due to the first day being open since the quarantine. The dogs are not locked up as they wait. They stay in the same room as the groomers. I was so impressed by the perfect cut and the softness of my dogs fur. He smelled so good and was happy as can be as I picked him up. They even put the most adorable bandana around his neck as the finishing touch. Horrible experience. I am writing this so someone else doesn't have to go through what we did. We have an Australian Shepard that we normally have groomed at Furry Finesse but due to Covid could not get an appointment so we looked for an alternative. After reading reviews we decided to call Barks and Bows and ask if they have experience with the breed and they said they did. My wife went to speak with the owner to confirm what she had been told on the phone and once again we were assured by the owner that she had experience with the breed so we made an appointment. When I went to pick up our dog he was unrecognizable and not in a good way. My wife went into great detail about just a trim etc----what she did to our dog is criminal and extremely upsetting! We are hoping that his coat grows back normally but there is no guarantee----Australian Shepards are not supposed to have their coats buzzed!! There are plenty of examples where this has been done in cases such as a rescue situation where because of extreme matting there was no choice but to cut the coat close, and the coat did not come back normally. We hope that is not the case here and his coat grows back in normally and we can write this off as a very bad experience and move on. read more

I've only groomed my dog one and she hated it. She's short haired so I would bath her at home. I also would take her to get her nails clipped at Krisers and the last time they were mean to her!! I was so nervous but Myong was amazing and so nice to my little girl! She did a great job and even trimmed her fur a little to help With shedding. Then we left something behind and she went out of her way to drop it off so I didn't have to go back out in the cold. My dog was excited to see her again, that confirmed that she's great. My golden doodles always look so amazing when she is done grooming them. As a first time client I called on a Fri and Myong answered. I asked her if I could bring him tomorrow. She said her schedule was busy for Saturday, but I told her it was my only free day off and she accommodated me. My daughter and I brought our dog Shadow (pomeranian/poodle mix) at noon the next day. The waiting room was clean and nicely decorated. Shadow behaved well with the Myong, who greeted us with a friendly smile. We felt comfortable leaving him there for a few hours while we did some errands. 3 hrs later I got a courtesy call that he is almost done. We arrived, he looked and smelled amazing and the bow tie was a plus. As a satisfied customer we will be coming back for sure. read more

We just moved to the area and this was the first place I took my dog based on the reviews and I'm very happy I did. We have found our new groomer! Myong was patient and kind with my dog. My dog is a handful and doesn't like her paws being groomed but Myong was professional and still did an amazing job. My dog is 9 years old and this is the best haircut she has ever had.
