We were having guests so we scheduled grooming the day before they arrived. We scheduled 6 weeks in advance! About a week before I got an email that only one dog was scheduled so I responded by explaining I scheduled BOTH dogs. No response. I assumed they fixed it. When I brought the dogs the very terse person at the front desk was totally unhelpful. She actually asked me to PROVE that I sent emails and argued with me! I'm not arguing with anyone and so I left and had to find another option. In desperation I went to Scent Hound and they were willing to help me even if their groomer had to stay later!! And they did an amazing job. PLUS they removed 2 mats instead of merely cutting them out. And the front desk person was delightful. I was lucky to have found someone who could help. Additionally there is a person in the lobby who is training dogs. One time when I arrived I was told I had to stand in a certain place and my dogs had to be within a certain distance from her dogs. The lobby is small and there is not enough space for a customer friendly entrance. I wanted to give direct feedback on my challenges with the front desk person to the owner rather than post a review. I was told they would contact me. It's been 4 weeks and I still haven't heard. There are so many options for grooming it's just not worth lousy front desk people and poor processes. If your website is not working well then don't have customers self schedule. We will not be returning and recommend anyone think twice. There are other options.

Their work is consistent; our dog looks wonderful after he is groomed. He has a heavy coat and we need to maintain his "look," on a frequent basis. One of the best features we like about their service is their timing practices. When we drop off our dog (with a scheduled appointment), we know that he is not going to be lined up with other dogs and have to wait in a cage for a long time. It appears that he is taken promptly and within an hour or two, we are called to pick him up. Previous groomers we have used have often kept our dog(s) for up to 6-7 hours. They must over-schedule or prioritize walk-ins, not sure, but we trust Furry Finesse for their professionalism and talent.

When we walked in, right away Jessica warmly greeted us. She told us what she would be doing today to Max and basically her philosophy on grooming. I like the fact I can make an appointment and he is not at the groomers all day. He is not crated or caged ( which he does not like) either, another plus. When I picked him up, he was ready to go, no waiting and he looked fabulous. His coat was beautiful and his skin felt soft underneath. I had been a loyal customer at Complete Dog for a while and always trusted them with my dog. The day after her appointment, I noticed a cut and called the groomer right away to ask what happened. They denied any responsibility and showed no concern. I took her to the vet, and when they saw the cut, they told us to bring her in almost immediately because they were worried it could be infected. After examining her, they said it likely could've happened at the groomer. The owner refunded the vet bill--but called it a "courtesy" and still denied anything happened under their care. They also refused to refund the grooming, saying they should still be paid because the haircut was "completed." My dog was hurt, and all they seemed to care about was getting paid. The way I was treated as a customer was cold, rude, and completely unprofessional. This was an incredibly upsetting experience, and I would never want another pet owner or pet to go through what we did. Please think twice before taking your dog to Complete Dog.

Today I had my 13-year old Havanese groomed at Rover's Place, and I'm thrilled…read more After a brutal groom at Wags on Willow (reviewed separately), our vet suggested Rover's, and I'm so glad. My senior dog can't take epic grooming sessions, and her hair was choppy and uneven after her last groom. Her ears and tail had been weirdly shaved, and I wasn't sure we'd be able to make her look normal again during her lifetime. The staff at Rover's is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The groomer we saw today has been grooming for 18 years, and had my sweet pup groomed in 45 minutes--and it's the best cut she's had in years. She did what she could to round out her ears, and to help set her up with a cut she can grow back into and look like herself again. My dog is fluffy, soft, adorable, and HAPPY! As a side note, all of the groomers there today were being so warm and friendly with the dogs in their care. I even saw one groomer sitting on the floor keeping a dog company while it waited for its owner. We will be going to Rover's for our grooming from now on!!

We boarded our 2 yo baby here over the summer after doing a trial day with them, where she did…read morewell. She is a dopey but strong dog, and super sweet and her definition of playing with other dogs frequently involves jumping over them, something we have beenn working on. Up until her boarding experience, she had successful play dates with doggy friends, ran around at the dog park with friends, overall did well. During her stay, we were out of the country. After a successful trial and all the positive reviews, we were confident she would do well. It was not her first time boarding, just her first time at Rovers. Well - in checking in with the Webcam, we would find that she would be let into the group room for moments, jump and then be created for 30 minutes or more at a time - repeatedly. Meaning she would get minutes of free time per day to play or get energy out. This went on every time we checked until I finally contacted them to ask what was going on. I totally understand needing to separate dogs that create issues with the group, but she was there for 10+ days and this went on every day. SHe was getting little to no interaction, just punishment from what we observed. After communicating with the team there via email, I felt slightly more confident although still a little worried. While traveling home, we found out she had been in a scuffle with another dog and was at the vet ER. While serious, this was also downplayed. When we finally got to her 24 hours later, she was shaved, in a cone, with stitches all over and on pain meds. She has not been the same since :-( A few months later and we are seeing residual issues. Out of the blue she sometimes growls or lunges at people she knows (outside of our family) each time looking like she feels as though she needs to protext herself. These are people she had spent time with here and there before without issue. She needs more encouragement to be able to perform certain things (climbing stairs, going outside) than she ever needed before (to note, she is a rescue we had had for 10 months before she was attacked at Rovers). She is scared of more things than before, irrationally hiding at times from things she was previously used to (my child practicing an instrument, the sound of the garage opening). I don't know for certain what really happened, we were never really informed, but all in all my baby girl is showing signs of trauma she didn't have before. We feel so bad that we left her there, and certainly caution others to do the same.
