Irrelevant to my visit, however public record shows that in a most recent inspection, G's received a critical (red) violation for Item 4A, Toxic chemicals being improperly labeled, stored, or used in a way that can contaminate food. Critical (red) violations such as these are issues that inspectors claim will likely cause food-borne illness/contamination. Anywho, back to my experience: A couple months back, we were very excited to try the new diner, with high expectations & a glimpse of hope for another remarkable, classic diner right in the heart of Warwick, boy could I have been more disappointed. When we first arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome at the door, which is the highlight of my visit. I initially noticed before walking in, it was easy to see there was a significant lack of foot traffic, which was confusing for a new restaurant around dinner time. Despite this, we were seated & brought menus, and ordered around 8 or so minutes later. I ordered the grilled salmon, while my mom ordered a burger of some sort. We also got an order of fries. While waiting patiently for our food, I noticed our waiter seemed a little stressed, and then I noticed there were staff standing in the open on their phones, yet I thought nothing of it considering they could've been on break. The real horror comes after the food is brought over. The grilled salmon was fine, and the burger was okay, the fries were revolting. Incredibly greasy, somewhat soft and mushy, and I'm confident that the oil used was expired. Shortly after this visit, I was sick. Which doesn't surprise me. Don't let any of the 5, 4, or even 3 star reviews fool you, this restaurant is not worth it. Country Dream, Fannie's, Greenview Tavern, Cracked Pot, all these are better alternatives, look elsewhere from G's people! Never returning.

The look reminds me of an old 50's style drive-up restaurant. The service was good. Our cashier was training but the owner stepped in and helped when she found that she had rung an item incorrectly, without me complaining about anything. The food came quick. My wife got the Delite burger, I got the Dirt Burger, my kids got chili dogs (boiled) and we got fries. The burgers were amazing. My wife tried my dirt burger and immediately regretted her choice. My kids (8,4,3) devoured their chili dogs in about 3.5 seconds, which for my picky eaters, is quite an amazing accomplishment. The fries were crispy and full of flavor. I'd give the food a 10/10. The prices were reasonable and the portions were good. Now....the ice cream. If you thought their food was good, the ice cream will blow you away. My wife got a Snow Storm with salted Caramel soft serve and m&m's blended inside. The salted caramel soft serve is a home made blend of theirs. If you're a lover of mint chip ice cream like me, you'll love this. It was a sundae that was layered with hot fudge and brownie bites then mint chip ice cream then Oreos followed by more mint chip cream. It was not overly sweet and the brownie bites were really good. My 8 year old got a cookie dough ice cream milkshake and said it was really good. For my littles, they got a kids scoop of hard ice cream. The portion for a little kid was PERFECT. I give the ice cream a 10/10 as well. One of the owners was present and said they purchased the place in August of 2025. They said they're trying to bring customers back, I guess after the old owners may have had some issues. If you live in the area this could easily become a regular restaurant in your rotation of places to go. If you're visiting the area, I highly recommend this place for quick, cheap, good quality food with friendly service. It is only outside seating. It was raining the day we went so we ate in the car.
