As I approached my 40's i knew it was time to start preventative aging treatments which included photo rejuvenation, lasers, some Botox and of course medical grade facials on a bi monthly basis. Although all these treatments all worked like a charm I of course was ready for just a little more after three years of the same treatments. After doing some internet research along with talking to friends, i discovered the miracle of the Ultherapy treatment. After seeing my friends results along with the rave reviews throughout social media and internet I knew it was something I wanted to try. The only downfall here was that everyone had always said how painful the treatment can be. Not afraid of pain, I wasn't too concerned and went ahead with my first treatment. All I can say is it was far from an easy and comfortable procedure as I had refused any numbing cream or other medications that would have made the procedure easier to endure. I overestimated my pain threshold and was NOT looking foward to treatment number two within the next few months. After voicing my concerns to Dr. Roche she immediately assured me that The next treatment will be much easier if I simply don't refuse the pain management options she provides. Skip to treatment number two which i was reluctantly looking foward to . This time I said, OK give me my options. Dr. Roche and the staff immediately knew what I needed. After some topical numbing cream, a Valium to relax me during the procedure ( and only if I had someone to pick me up after the procedure was completed ), and dental block injections which numbed the areas being treated I was ready to endure. Needless to say, I found my second Ultherapy treatment to be the most pleasant, pain free treatments I have received to date. I had an audiobook on for the next hour and was happy for her to do even the most difficult area which is neck for most people. For anyone considering this treatment but are reluctant due to the fear of pain it may cause I would HIGHLY recommend getting the procedure done with Dr. Roche. Ultherapy has amazing results and if you are able to endure it especially with minimal to no pain then go directly to the Elizabeth Roche Med Spa. I can absolutely attest to the effectiveness of all the treatments I have received as well as the exceptional professional staff and office enviornment that is maintained. Maintaining our beauty and youth is already a continuous process ... Why make it more difficult then it has to be. ;) ... When I called over the phone, the receptionist readily accepted my redemption and scheduled me for an appointment in the not-too-distant future. De Beauté salon is easily one of the largest salons I've visited, taking up an entire multi-story building. Parking is easy with an adjoining lot and the first floor essentially functions as a receiving lobby. Here, receptionists will check you in, tell you which floor you're heading toward, and hand you a slip of paper that details the service you're receiving (to give to your service provider). I was paired with Antoine for the Brazilian blowout, and I wish I'd taken before/after pictures because wow, what a change. I'd arrived with frizzy hair that was approximating a Brillo-pad texture and frizz (thanks to a bleach job I'd recently gotten done), but after a short hour and a half in the chair, my tresses had been tamed to a silky smoothness that I hadn't felt on my head for some time. I've since washed my hair a few times, and I'm happy to report that this keratin treatment has staying power. For those sensitive to strong chemicals, note that the formula they use contains formaldehyde. I appreciated that they set up the chair by two strong fans and an open door, but my eyes still watered a bit here and there.

I have been going to Korean spas for over 10 years for this treatment. It normally leaves your skin supper soft. The scrub can be from 30-50 minutes and then a hydrating massage for 30 minutes to 45 after. This was my first time doing it at this spa. I called and they said that the scrub is 45 minutes and the massage is the same. For $20 more you can extend the massage for an addition 30 minutes. They also mentioned they have a sauna which is free. I asked for the 2 hour Urban Vacation. It is little over two hours before closing so they did not want to accommodate so I chose the 90 minute Eastern Indulgence (Korean Body Scrub). They asked from payment first, so I paid $130, then they took me to a room and gave me a towel. About 7 minutes later she comes back and took me to the wet room. No robe, no slippers which was odd. We entered the room and it was freezing. I told her it was cold; she ended the scrub after 10 minutes and put me in a cold sauna room. After about 4 minutes it got warm. In about 3 minutes we head to the massage room. The room was nice and warm, but the massage was terrible. I asked for a stronger massage, but it did not get stronger. It was not good. While in the room she complained that business is slow, and she comes from palisade park to work there. After 70-75 minutes in total, she said all done. I told her that she cut it short, she stated that I came in 90 minutes ago. She left and came back with water. She seemed nice and I gave her $50 tip on a $130 massage. She asked for more and told me that $50 is not enough for 90 minutes. I was shocked. I told her the scrub was shortened, the time was shortened as it included the time to pay, her to set up and the sauna. She got nasty and I left. In summary, the cozy Spa offers clean environment. However, the inconsistency in the service from the industry standards and their menu along with lack of gratitude was disappointing to say the least. I would suggest staying clear of this spa. This is not a good business to support.

Yes they are a bit high in price but you cannot beat the services and amenities they provide. I always enjoy their steam room before my services as it is one of the best in the area and does wonders for your skin. I was just in for a deep tissue massage and I was so happy by the time I left. My body felt rejuvenated and beat up in the best way. My masseuse Donna did an amazing job on getting my back knots and shoulder problem areas which most people really struggle to get out. I feel fantastic and relaxed. After my massage she brought me upstairs to the tranquility room where there is an array of healthy snacks to enjoy and plenty of beverages to make. I enjoyed the tea and water and relaxed a bit before heading down to the showers to rinse off my oil and go home. Discovered this gem while searching for nearby places that have eyelash tinting. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon The Glam Bar. It is located within Luxe Salon and Spa. The building is easy to find and they have their own parking lot. I called to make an appointment for the eyelash tinting, which was super easy. But keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the reception desk and introduced to the Master Esthetician, Enza, who would be assisting me. Enza made me feel at ease right away, with her friendly demeanor and answering all of my questions. To my good fortune, they also offer brow tinting, (something else I've been wanting to try) and both services go hand in hand quite well. Enza showed me to a private room where I laid face up on a table. She then applied hydrating under eye patches. These served a dual purpose, to teat my under eyes and to protect my skin of the tint application. The tint application was easy as you just close your eyes (and keep them closed) while she paints it onto your lashes. Keeping your eyes closed and letting the tint sit, she then applies a tint to match your hair to your bows. You may feel a slight stinging sensation on your eyelids, but nothing unbearable. Enza then carefully cleansed my brows and eye lashes. I had planned on running errands right after, but nixed that idea because just like hair dye, some of the tint remains on your skin till your next face wash. I did try using some micellar cleansing water on a q-tip which helped a little. It's been a few days now, and I am very happy with the results! Getting both the eyelash and brow tinting done together also saved me a few bucks! ($30 each separately, $55 together) I am looking forward to returning to try their other services such as the hydra facial with celluma therapy at their Medi Skin Spa!
