I would pay a solid chunk of money and then walk out of every salon so underwhelmed. So I figured why pay so much for something I can do myself. Then one day I craved a new hair style, and wanted to do some beautiful balayage highlites. After what seemed like an endless search, I finally found Linda and was instantly in love with her work. She's incredible at coloring. After my consultation with her, she led me to her partner Gene, who is an absolute master with scissors. It's been almost a year since I stumped upon these two hair wizards. I've been there twice now and have walked out so happy each time. It's not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for, and honestly I wouldn't have it any other way. They are beyond worth it. I would HIGHLY recommend Gene & Linda and Luxe Salon to anyone thats looking to change their hair style. Skip the cheaper salons. Skip the compromise on what you want. I am SO happy I found Runway! I had a wedding to go to in the area and decided to book hair and makeup close by. I chose Runway based on their awesome photos on Facebook and Instagram. My hair stylist, Caitlin, suggested a better package for me (saved me money) and continued to do a great job with my hair. The weather that day was AWFUL -- rain and humidity but my hair stayed perfect throughout the night! Jennifer did my makeup and she did an amazing job! I was going to be wearing traditional Pakistani clothes so I was worried that it'd be too light but she was a total pro and I received compliments all night. I was done earlier than expected (which was great) and everyone was SUPER nice. This salon is a good hour away from me, but I'll certainly be back!! read more

If I could give this salon more stars, I would. My sister and I called for last minute up-dos and make-up (with lashes) for a wedding. The owner could not have been more accommodating and actually opened the salon for just us on a Sunday. The hair and make up stylist (Teresa?) was a pleasure to work with and listened to what we wanted and delivered. All the products used were top of the-line, and they even had the Kylie Lip kits for those of you that are fans. The salon itself is beautiful, upscale, while charming at the same time (unlike those chain blow out bars). Runway made me feel super comfortable - this was my first visit and I am somewhat picky about my hair and makeup. Teresa asked me every step of the way whether or not I was happy with what she was doing with my makeup and my hair. I was able to get a walk in appointment, everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. They took my coat and offered me a beverage which included champagne, that was a wonderful surprise! I had the opportunity to visit Runway Blowout lounge about 3 weeks ago for a wash and blowdry. The shop is beautifully appointed and the girls all greeted me with a smile. I had my hair washed in a massage chair which was very relaxing. My blow out lasted 5 days, I was extremely happy with how it came out. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Nicole! She is a gem! A hair wizard. A plant whisperer. Amazing at…read morecolor-correction, lowlights, color matching, wavy haircuts, style and casual conversation. She is also super nice, has a beautiful salon and makes you feel comfortable in her chair! After a lengthy online search, and being captivated by her salon's positive reviews, I quickly made the call for a free consultation. I was wearing hats all summer long to conceal my over-highlighted hair as I desperately wanted to go back to my original, natural and healthy-looking brunette color. I needed a hair magician to bring my hair back to its former glory and had a gut feeling Nicole was my ticket to hair paradise. During my free consultation with Nicole, she was confident I could make the transition back to a healthy-looking brunette vs sun-drenched, dry-looking, highlighted hair (my words, not hers). What I appreciated most is that she was honest; and advised me that to achieve a more natural-looking hair color, it would take some time to get there, but it was not impossible. My roots were super healthy and I had shown her previous photos of my hair without highlights, so she knew it was achievable. The game plan involved a gradual return to my original color. It was a commitment I was willing to make: 2-3-sessions of toner, cut off all the dry ends (immediately stop using blue-toning shampoo+conditioner) then gradually add lowlights once my highlighted roots were grown out a few more inches, so she could match them perfectly. Which, over the 3rd visit, she miraculously did! At my first visit, Nicole did a "root melt" along with applying a toner after she had dry cut all my dead ends off. Within the first visit, my hair already started looking like its healthy self again and I was amazed! My hair finally had volume and movement with natural waves and no more dead ends. It looked like a new head of hair. I was thrilled!!! Regarding other aspects of working with Nicole -- her salon space is cozy and inviting. She brewed loose leaf tea (my fave is peppermint), which I greatly enjoyed while you listening to zen music. I also love that the space itself feels open and airy, does not smell of any chemicals (like other salons) as she only uses organic products. With very sensitive skin and a scalp that is prone to dryness, I appreciate not having any harsh chemicals on my scalp or near my face. Also, the lighting is super mellow (no overhead lights) or loud music you don't want to hear. A completely chill experience all the way around. THANK YOU, Nicole, for bringing my hair back to its former glory. I cannot thank you enough for resurrecting my hair and for being so cool to talk to while we chill in your salon! I was going to pay for 10 girls to get eye lashes, that's well over $1000. Nope not here. They will never see a dime from me. Go somewhere else. I see they now have a Groupon. I'm really angry now.
