Have been going here for years with service always being fine. The people are all very nice. Switched stylist and everything changed. Looking at pics over the months up until Oct it was getting thinner and thinner. Finally the last time in October my hair was burnt off and coming out in clumps. Told the salon and was offered to "fix it". Being there was Barely any hair it would be impossible. After thinking about it I decided I should at least be given my money back since I had to go pay for extensions to have hair. calling corporate and telling managers in the stores for months! Everyone should be aware that if you order online and redeem your reward points($), you will LOSE them if you return OR exchange that item in stores. I confirmed this with Ulta's Supervisor at Corporate along with Suzi the Store manager. I feel that is completely unethical. I got a hair dye from Courtney. She is completely unprofessional. She didn't listen to my simple request to NOT bleach my hair as I explained that I was really trying to take care of my hair and it had been the best quality it had been in a long time. Without my consent, she bleached my hair to the point where my hair was completely damaged, broken off, and dry and brittle. What she did was pure evil and I had to spend more money somewhere else to fix the damage she caused. I have naturally dark brown hair and it came out with an orange and red hue. I want to add a review for Skye Latorre. My hair needed an immediate clean up and I called ultra on a whim since my regular salon was busy. Sky was so nice on the phone it encouraged. My appointment was for the next night. Skye greeted me with a smile and immediately made me feel at ease. She gave me a deep conditioning treatment and a really relaxing wash. I told her I wanted a clean up and that's exactly what she did. No more, no less. This is a super great haircut! And the blow out was so perfect I may come back again just to look good for an event. I have been going to Ulta for the last year and a half. I am making this review for the Salon. Last night Marjorie (with the input of Sue) did an amazing job taking my pixie bob tri colored grown out hellfest into a sleek summery style and set me up for a great appointment in 8 weeks to help me reach my goal. I have the bad luck of losing hair stylists when they either leave or in some cases refuse flat out to do something I feel is better suited for my age (cue the old lady haircut I received) The ladies were pleasant, organized, and knew exactly what was best for me and my hair. I have had an influx of compliments. I had a great time talking to Marjorie too - the environment is fun and laid back and I can't wait to go back when the rest of my hair grows in! The stylists are super nice. My stylist kept telling me she was great with her notes. I trusted that. As sweet as she is, when I went back for my color-I felt she didnt reference any notes. It was a horrible job, but had everything I didnt want. Tons of brass and super golden hues when I like "sunny beachy" color with some brighter highlights not all golden. Very frustrating when u trust and believe she will follow things that u spent a lot of time explaining. read more

I used to see one one of the hairdressers at this location for a couple of years before she moved out of state. I've been on the hunt for a new hairdresser ever since. Last weekend I tried Amanda, and I wish I went to a different girl. I've been growing my hair out to a length I was finally happy with and I asked her for a face frame. She ended up just cutting the front section of my hair two inches shorter than the back. I went back to the salon the next day and she blended it in better but even a week later I am still insecure about my haircut. It was not worth the $50. Nice girl, but she needs more practice and if she doesn't understand what the customer wants, she should ask more questions before chopping away. read more

I had a great experience here tonight. I recently broke up with my boyfriend and wanted to treat myself to new make up, for a new me! I walked in and was greeted by Francesca. After looking around, I decided what I wanted and she was there to help and give me advice. She was patient and helped match my skin to the makeup I was looking for. They were short staffed and she still took her time with me. Excellent customer service!! Her manager Laura was also extremely helpful as well. The whole experience made me feel so good! If you need skincare or make up, Walk in and immediately go to Roz. I'm extremely impressed by her knowledge of Clinique and she quickly identified exactly what my skin needed. She grabbed her recommendations & allowed me to pick what I needed with no pressure to buy anything. I appreciated her less is more approach to make up. As we all know, skincare is everything. Take the 15-20 mins to sit down with her, you'll be very happy you did. All other employees were very nice, attentive & greeted me as soon as I walked in. I went to ulta for the simplest of things. Paul mitchel flexible hold hair spray and a new lip color. This store was so unorganized and didn't even carry the basic hair brands with a variety. There was cracked make up on the floor and nothing was stocked. Their prices are $1 higher than Harmon and shop rite. This store is for those people who use Clinique and other high end cosmetics without the trip to the mall. read more

Went to the salon today. Unbeknownst to me it was their cut-a-thon day. Stylist I had was Flo, I believe. She spoke so softly I could barely hear her over the blow dryers. The cut and highlights are okay. But I don't think it should ever take 3 hours for highlights; toner, shampoo, cut, and blow dry. It took her almost 75 minutes to put the foils in and I didn't do heavy highlights. read more

I love this Ulta location! It's a clean and organized store, but more so the staff is incredibly kind, polite and helpful. I am new to the world of makeup and skin care and have very little experience with it all so it's a little intimidating going into stores like this and knowing what to buy. Letticia Rosado helped me through it all and I am so grateful!!! She was friendly and cheerful from the start, was honest about the products I should get that were within my price range, gave great advice that was specific to me and spent the time with me to get me what I needed. She also showed me different products she recommended for my sensitive skin and tried different foundation types on me to make sure she matched my skin tone perfectly. I feel like Letticia really cared about me and listened to me which is what sold me! I will definitely be back here for all my beauty needs in the future. Never having been to an ulta before, this was a terrible first impression that ill never forget. The store is dark and dirty... It was day time but almost impossible to see what I was looking at! There are no lights except on clinque. Dim lighting in a beauty store?? Doesnt make sense. Testers and product just spewed every where. Displays are gross and full of open product. Nothing is filled. Ulta collection shelves were COMPLETELY empty. A few nail polishes there but NOTHING else. Drugstore brands were the worst of it all....a complete disaster. Its not busy... Someone could definitely be cleaning and filling on downtime. There was no staff around to ask for help and cashier was not pleasant. This place needs some serious help. I could get the same stuff at a drugstore or a competing beauty store please give me a reason to go back because im having a hard time thinking of one. read more

2 stars: 1 for them carrying nyx 1 for them being somewhat local. The other ultas by me are 45+ minutes away. The employees are very nice but the store is a mess. The high end section is kept up, but the low end is not. The drugstore makeup is never restocked and the NYX section is atrocious, and has been for months. There is opened makeup all over the display. All you need to do is take a makeup wipe and just clean it. I don't see the hassle? My friend and I joke around that we will clean and restock it for free. Also a lot of the items are opened and don't have the safety wrap on them. Put testers out or start having someone monitor the floors for people opening. It looks like it would be very easy to steal there. read more

I have always like this Ulta store! Though i may not find a lot of employees i do find that customer service has always been great. Today was my first day at the salon! My stylist Stephanie was great! i have very tight curly hair (4a/3c) so i wanted to get my hair in a shape that i feel comfortable wearing a wash and go and braidouts! She informed about the Deva cut and how it works, and i love that! She was very informative and insiteful. I felt comfortable leaving my hair in her hands! I would have liked her to talk more about what i can do to maintain my hair and different style's, but i notice that if your ask her questions she will answers all your questions. I love the hair cut! It was not too short, she asked me what my goal was and the. From there she style and cute my hair. She took a good amount off and yet i still have a good amount of length. I loved the products they used, and she informed me the products that might work on my hair ( based on me asking her questions on what she thinks works with me) it was a quick and simple visit. Towards the end i felt rushed and not much time to talk about they style because she had another cilent, yet I turely enjoyed working with her and would and plan to go back to her. read more

Great selection of products and an awesome return policy (which holds true for all Ultas). I like to try out new hair products and unfortunately have a habit of picking expensive brands, which is a bummer when the relationship doesn't work out with my hair. With everything now sealed, it's hard to find places that will let you return a product you didn't like. Ulta will refund your money within 60 days if you have the receipt, which is awesome when I spend $24 on hair cream, use it once, and hate the results. It can be busy and check out is not always the fastest, but now that I know they will refund my money if I don't like a product, I will be doing more shopping here for sure. I should note I have never used the salon here, just shopped. read more

Literally the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced at a beauty store. The registers take about 5 minutes to process a transaction even after waiting 15 minutes in line. The associates are not knowledgable about the product they are selling and even gave me the wrong item and told me it was correct. After I went back to exchange, they did not immediately process my return and told me I had to wait in line for ANOTHER 15 minutes. Also when shopping for a new concealer, I asked another associate for assistance and she proceeded to choose a random color no where near my skin tone and pour it onto her finger that she did not sanitize beforehand and touch my face without permission. I could not believe that an associate would touch my face with an unsanitized hand and WITHOUT permission!!! This is why I shop at sephora!! read more

I have been using this Ulta store for many years, including their makeup and hair services. So when I booked their Every Day Make Up service, I expected the same high level of service. Not so. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment, and was offered a seat until the make up artist, who was blow drying another client's hair, was finished (I won't use her name because my issue is not with her. It's with the poor customer service the store manger exhibited). After waiting 15 minutes I was approached by The store manager and informed that there was basically no way I would receive my service with who I was booked with because it was taking her longer than expected to blow dry the other client's hair. The manager proceeded to offer the Clinique make up artist...I know she would only use Clinique. I don't use Clinique so I declined. Long story short, I should have been called ahead of time and been informed that she was running late or at the very least when I checked in. Not even an offer to rebook was made. I like this store when I need to grab something and don't feel like driving to Sephora, or don't want to spend much. I feel like they have less selection of the high end brands, but they have a lot of interesting products that other nearby stores don't carry, as well as the standard drug store brands, which is handy. I visit every few months and last time, I bought a $100 clip in hair piece, which was not good, and they took it back, no problem. I'm not usually greeted or asked if I need help, but I'd rather shop alone and find whatever I need myself anyway. They may not be my #1 beauty store, but I'll shop there for basics. read more

Like Sephora but closer to my house. And it's not inside a giant mall. Who could ask for more in the suburbs? They have high end brands, drug store brands, their own line (good prices, and I really like the lip stain), as well as a plethora of choices for hair and body. The staff was very helpful with both makeup and the questions I and a friend had about men's waxing (I was there for moral support). Haven't visited the aesthetician yet but am considering doing so, as she seemed to know her stuff. Will report back if I do. read more
