Had brunch today, on their second day since opening. Sat outside on their large open patio, which was wonderful on this sunny Fall day. Staff were friendly , service was excellent and food was spot on. I had the breakfast bowl, which at first seemed like it was in a smaller bowl than anticipated, but ultimately was a good portion and delicious. Coffee was replenished on a regular basis, and I enjoy a bottle of water on the table, which was provided. Patio is larger than the outdoor seating in their Huntington location. There were outdoor heaters, for cooler weather .it's an exciting addition to Plainview and I def plan to return, not just for brunch, but their other menu items. read more

The Shed restaurant has become one of my favorite spot for lunch and dinner in a short period of time and I'm excited to tell you all about it! My favorite item on the menu is definitely The Shed Bowl, a delightful and healthy meal option that offers a perfect balance of flavors and nutrients. This bowl consists of a mix of roasted chicken, arugula, radish, sweet potatoes, wild rice, sunflower seeds, mushrooms, and goat cheese, all tossed in a spiced honey vinaigrette that adds an extra layer of complexity to the dish. I also enjoyed their Glazed Salmon and Blackened Sea Bass, as they are both delicious! I adore everything on their menu and I can't wait to try all of their other dishes as well the next time I'm in town! read more

As one of the premier breakfast / brunch spots on LI, The Shed is really good, not great. The food is the selling point. The blueberry biscuits are a must try. I can't think of any other breakfast starter that can rival it. The atmosphere is super trendy, but it all gets lost when they seat people on top of eachother. They have tables so close in proximity that you might as well be a part of the conversation to the tables next to you. Not to mention, they have a serious fly problem. I'm no exterminator, but I don't know how hard it must be to get rid of bugs in a restaurant. PROs: Top tier breakfast food + Trendy atmosphere CONs: Extremely close seating + Flies read more

Went in on a Wednesday afternoon, no wait for a party of 2. We also dined indoors, which was bright and airy like the outside. Our server was very attentive, and made sure we were okay which I appreciated. It's very bright and open which I also adored. Food was great. The mac and cheese had jalapeños and it was so good. The chicken sandwich was MASSIVE but my sister enjoyed it. I had the shed burger and it was juicy also. Shed fries are just fries (lol) , but they were fresh as well. Bill was surprising as I expected it to be over $100, but it was under. Overall good experience. Will be back for brunch next. read more

The staff were very attentive but the food wasn't very good. We ordered steak and eggs and the New England lobster bowl the steak was tough and the lobster was overcooked and fishy smelling and lacking seasoning. I ordered a dessert because I couldn't eat my food and was still hungry. Maybe just a bad day read more

We went to dinner at The Shed while on Long Island on a business trip based on Yelp reviews. This place was amazing. I hade a double meat cheese burger which was over the top good. I asked for medium and it came out medium. I ordered fries to go with it and there were enough for a small army in addition to Cole slaw and a pickle. Nic ordered French Toast, home fries and bacon. She said it was the best French Toast she had ever had. The syrup was served warm. The 4 slices of bacon were crispy and the home fries were outstanding. Attention to detail seems to be a hallmark for this restaurant. The service was also very attentive and the food came out in a reasonable period of time. The Shed is definitely worth a visit. We will absolutely go back on our next trip to LI. read more

We love The Shed in Huntington so we were excited when they opened a new location in Plainview. We came a bit later on a Sunday (around 2PM) and the wait was only 20 minutes. They take your name and number on a tablet and text you when your table is ready. The hostess does not take you to your table instead the table is cleaned and has menus available by the time you arrive. The menu is small but everything they do is done well. Our waiter was great and attentive. I had the figgin' fresh which was made with fig vodka and apricot. Very good. For my meal I had the make your own omelet which while yummy was missing the tomatoes I requested. The hashbrowns were yummy and the sweet potato fries were fresh. They do not rush you out of here, which is nice. In the warmer months there is outdoor seating which will help with the wait time inside. They do not take reservations so show up, get your name on the list, and hope for the best. They are also a bit pricey but for a good lunch with excellent drinks I can't complain. read more

delicious food well prepared great attentive service . not a long wait at all. Great atmosphere

Melon pancakes were delicious! That cream that came along with it is unlike anything ive had before

I went to the Shed location in Huntington, but I like this one even more. The large open windows, increased indoor space, and high ceilings just elevated our dining experience. Definitely feels less cramped and crowded than the Huntington location. I went around 12pm on a Friday for brunch, and it was packed. They don't take reservations, so prepare to wait if you have a large table. However, we only had a table for two, so we opted for bar seating since that was available (no wait!!). We quickly sat down and ordered with the bartender. I got the shegg sandwich and my mom got the avocado toast. I got the shegg sandwich before, but it was just too good that I had to get it again. I also think it's a good portion of food for the price! It's the perfect amount of savoriness from the salty bacon and eggs and sweetness from the jam. And the crunchy toast is always top tier. The avocado toast was pretty good as well, and it also includes two sunny side up eggs. I definitely would come back for another meal at this location! read more

Friendly staff, good food. There were candles on the bar which I liked and it has a great atmosphere overall

Solid brunch / lunch restaurant. Decor is trendy and modern. I come here occasionally for lunch during the week because of how close by it is. This is a really popular place and it's always busy. We usually arrive around 12-12:15pm and there's always a wait for a table so we opt for bar seating. I almost always get the shed bowl because it's filling , healthy, and reliable but everything else I've tried has been pretty good! read more

Anyone that says The Shed only excels at brunch needs to try them (or try again!) for dinner! We went recently on a mild wintry Friday night and our party of four (two kids) were seated immediately. For those dining with children in tow, note that they DO have a kids menu with most options in the $10-12 range. They just don't have a printed menu or anything posted online. Our server read off the options like specials. My wife and I both got burgers, though she opted for a veggie burger l, which (very interestingly) was pea-based, a nice departure from the soy/mushroom types. We shared a side of fries and everything was outstanding! Our kiddos split a kids portion of Mac & cheese, which was not only homemade (e.g. not Kraft) but was more than generous enough to easily feed the both of them. Including a round of drinks, our check was under $80 before tax & tip, and we all had a great meal and time out. Service was excellent to boot, and the vibe reminds me of being in a rustic Vermont/New England eatery. We'll be back! read more

Went to The Shed Restaurant for brunch back in the summer. The lot can get busy at times since it shares it with several businesses. We were given a choice to have indoor or outside seating. Since it was a nice day we sat outside where their patio area was. They had tables with umbrellas to block the strong sun rays and the staff was nice enough to adjust the umbrella to make sure we were comfortable. I got the chicken and waffles stack and my husband opted for the buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon. The chicken and waffles was cooked perfectly and it was served with a side of Mike's hot honey to drizzle on top. The waiter gave warning that the hot honey packs some heat, so if you're not one for spice it maybe best to put a little on at first to see your heat tolerance. We were also given syrup too if you prefer a sweeter topping to the dish. My husband enjoyed his pancakes which was fluffy and delicious. The side of bacon was nice and crisp. Our waiter was great throughout our meal. We will definitely be coming back in the future. read more

Excellent food and service. Food was delicious and its appearance was delightful. Ambiance was great. We were there for breakfast.

This spot was definitely a little far from home but we decided to take the drive and found out the hype was real. It's very simple if you are looking for a good brunch spot with delicious drinks and amazing food come check them out. The calamari was delicious very light on the breading which i appreciated. The salmon with Brussels sprouts was a chefs kiss kind of dish because it was healthy but delicious all at the same time. Francesca was amazing she made the experience worth it, she was patient and sweet. Whatever she's getting paid isn't enough. The ambiance feels like a farm, just a joint you know your gonna be served some damn delicious food. read more

We always sit at the bar because it tends to get packed. Good food, okay service and cute place. I like going on Sunday since they have specials (like biscuits and gravy) that aren't on their typical menu. I have been to the shed in Huntington several times and I've always been happy with it. However, the Plainview location was another story. We found a really long hair in my eggs Benedict. We asked for a manager to which they offered to make a new one, however, I had already lost my appetite. The most comical part of the experience was I was given a $15 gift card which doesn't even cover the cost of the plate (16.95, not including tax) or the ice coffee I ordered. The value of the meal should have been covered for me to at least give this location another chance. read more

We finally had brunch at The Shed after hearing wonderful things. I loved it. A 40 minute wait was only 15 minutes. Our waitress, Victoria, was very sweet. A side of Sausages - A MUST ORDER! $4.95 P.S. Our server, Eraldo, OHHH SO CUTE! A father sat down with his son next to us, ordered the same thing after asking us for recommendations. This place is pretty much what you imagine a high end suburban brunch spot to look like and serve. Modern American fare with a trendy decor - it'll do really well in Plainview. The appetizers were decent - fried pickles were good but hot wings were mild at best. Cobb salad was fresh and filling, very well done. Biscuit benedict was a bit much in terms of richness and food but solid. I did enjoy their biscuits and jam however, very reminiscent of a good southern biscuit. Prices are fair and service was good. It's a very popular spot on the weekends so make sure you come early or you're prepared to wait a bit. Will be back. read more

Had a late lunch yesterday with a friend, my first time, her 3rd or 4th. It's a very attractive place, bright and open. Our server introduced himself, and just getting normal water was having to answer like 5 questions about the kind of water we wanted, with ice, no ice a little ice, sparkling, flat, lemon, no lemon? I got the blackened cod sandwich, not too spicy, another 1/2 dozen questions, my friend got the eggs Benedict. Her home fries were burnt to a crisp (you could have broken a tooth). My fish was tasty, but my 3rd bite had a big bone. The side of cole slaw was very good. I think 3 or 4?different wait staff came over to ask us how everything was, afterawhile it felt intrusive, let the customer just eat in peace. My friend said they are very busy on the weekends, I guess not so much at 5pm on Monday. They brought my friend another order of home fries prepared better, I brought my sandwich home for my husband. I don't know if I'd go back, I should have gotten the eggs, I think they do that better than the fish. It was priced I'd say 'moderate'. All in all, we both left very disappointed. You can't eat ambiance, the food has to shine. And is this what service is like in 2025? Either they ignore you, or don't let you just sit and enjoy your meal. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! I went to the restaurant on a Friday at around 11:30 with one other person. It wasn't that busy and there were open tables. However, the hostess refused to seat us. We repeatedly asked why we could not be seated at the empty tables - and were told by the hostess that they were saving the tables in case a four person party came. I've never experienced being denied a table at a half empty restaurant in case another party showed up. Absolutely disgusting and will never go back there again - much better places that actually have respect for their customers. read more

Th Shed's food definitely lived up to the hype. Everything is fresh and homemade. The waffles, biscuits, fried pickles, fried shrimp and home fries were among the best we've had. Not only is the food spectacular, the service provided by Sarah B. was excellent. She was attentive, friendly and professional throughout our entire dining experience. The only caveat was the issue with the air conditioning. It was a very hot day and people were fanning themselves to try to keep cool. While we were only there for a short period of time, we feel terrible for all of the staff and especially the poor kitchen staff who must have been roasting in the back. 2 people in our party were visibly sweating through a portion of their meal. Otherwise it was a top notch meal and service experience!! read more

The shed has great ambiance, great food and service. They also have great gluten free options. My wife particularly enjoys their Cobb salad. However, one unfortunate event happened today. Today we ordered to go from the shed and really enjoyed the food as well, but the burger boxes were mislabeled and I accidentally ate a bite of the non-gluten free burger my friend ordered. I have celiac and unfortunately I quickly started bloating. This was despite emphasizing at the time of ordering that I have this sensitivity to gluten. We did inform the store and the manager Barbara was very apologetic and kindly offered to removed the burger off the bill as well as to remake the burger and even offered a gift card to be picked up next visit. It was an unfortunate mistake and we would still eat there again, but let the store know more so it doesn't happen again for us or others. Definitely still highly recommend the restaurant! read more

This is an excellent location for this popular restaurant "The Shed." The Shed has two other locations which are in West Sayville and Huntington where I have yet dined. So, what is making this American comfort food restaurant so popular? Is it their all-day everyday brunch menu, fresh ingredients, although I hope most restaurants, I visit have fresh ingredients or is their cultivating vibe? Whitewashed walls, salvaged barn wood and local art makes up the ambience of this restaurant. Outdoor comfortable seating is also available. Now I have only visited this location once to pick up food to go. So, I am guessing this restaurant is all about being there to enjoy the true dining experience. I will most definitely will dine there soon and update this review. read more

Instagram worthy and food network worthy! This is yet another gem on Long Island!!! We had the fried pickles to start and they was phenomenal. Lightly breaded and crispy. For my entree, I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was WAY hot! Too hot for me. Opted to leave that hot honey on the side. Service was amazing and the place is absolutely adorable. A rustic luxury barn vibe that I love for brunch. Though not on the menu, their white sangria can be made WITH alcohol. It was a bit too sweet for my liking but the Shed Bowl was delicious.
