The gentleman who helped us was so kind and answered all our questions. He was very knowledgeable about ingredients and how the ice cream was made. The different flavors of ice cream were so delicious. It was very creamy and many different flavors to choose from. Very cute vibe and very quiet atmosphere
Honestly very good concept- organic and fresh - but the ice crean was kinda of lack luster in my opinion . Go try then out for yourself . They had a tootsie roll milkshake which I found interesting . Didn't try but wasn't inline with their claim to all organic ingredients . ?
The Screamery is such a delightful place to treat your sweet tooth for any ice cream/dessert craving you might have. I discovered this place years ago when I first moved to Arizona and I'm still in love with their sweet cream honeycomb flavor. The ice cream is a sweet cream base with handmade honeycomb pieces made with local AZ honey. Every location has abundant seating inside and out. I truly recommend stopping by to try a sample or three!
Just yummmm!! The Screamery HandCrafted Ice Cream is a standout destination for ice cream enthusiasts - from the story on the wall you can tell ththey pride themselves on crafting ice cream from scratch using whole and natural ingredients, free from antibiotics, synthetic hormones, and chemical stabilizers. Patrons frequently commend the quality of their offerings. One Yelp reviewer notes, "Love this place. Ice cream is always great and service is awesome." Another customer highlights the exceptional flavors and friendly staff, mentioning, "The butter cake and peppermint chip ice cream are amazing. Staff is friendly." The Screamery's commitment to natural ingredients and handcrafted quality makes it a must-visit spot for those seeking a delightful ice cream experience in Phoenix.
Not sure what this is but whatever they are serving is definitely NOT ice cream. Frozen over, old tasting and just pure gritty through and through. Had a few flavors all were the same in texture. So many better ice cream places, almost every PINT sold at frys would knock the socks off this place. For GREAT ice cream try HANDELS. For amazing gelato go to ALLORA. Avoid this garbage. Save your $$.
I stopped in one evening with a friend for a sweet treat after going to dinner. We were looking for a nice local spot and saw the good reviews so decided to pop in here. As we entered we were impressed by the bright and cheery interior. It's simple, yet nicely decorated and inviting, and very brightly lit. It felt very clean. However, our initial enthusiasm was slightly dampened when we realized that there were no staff members present to greet us or take our order. We had to wait for a while before two teenage workers emerged from the back. While they were polite and quick in serving us, they seemed rather unenthused about serving customers. One of the teenagers in particular caught my attention as he had an airpod in one ear the entire time he was working with customers. This may be uncomfortable for some folks. It didn't necessarily bother me but it may bother other customers. the second teenager just seemed like he didn't want to be there. Almost like we were inconveniencing him. Despite this, we ordered our ice cream and I opted for a scoop of the key lime flavor which was refreshing and tangy. My friend raved about her flavor choice as well. The quality of the ice cream is definitely top notch, but I did feel that the prices were a bit steep. A single scoop is going to sit you back around $6. That's a bit more than I'm used to paying. Overall, I would recommend this spot for their tasty ice cream, but be prepared for potentially spotty service and higher than average prices. If the staff can work on their customer service skills and maybe leave their airpods behind this please could easily be a five-star destination. Until then it's still worth a visit if you're in the mood for sweet treat but be prepared for potentially unenthusiastic service and feeling like you're an inconvenience.
Even though I was the only customer in during the time I was there, the ice cream was delicious. Even the nondairy ice cream is almost a sin to me.. Customer service was excellent as I was the only customer, but the singular employee was very friendly. We even split a cherry drink, called cherry wine, no alcohol, that she had never tasted before, I had never tasted before. I asked her if she wanted to open it and pour some for herself so she could taste it and tell people what it taste like.
We went here after dinner at ChopShop. It was just next door! I love that it's local and have flavors inspired by Arizona like Sweet Sonoran Desert! I got the Coffee Toffee on waffle cone and mu husband got the Scream Sundae. Let's just say it was a lotttt of ice cream between us. They were delicious! I'm down to come back and try more of their flavors!
I'm always game for ice cream. Always. We went with a large group and the menu was SO FUN! The teenage worker was very helpful and patient with all the samples we wanted to try. I went basic with chocolate chip cookie dough, but the flavors were unique and fun. The quality of ice cream was top notch and we all really enjoyed it. Definitely try this place if you love ice cream. You won't be disappointed!!
The Screamery is seriously amazing! The ice cream here is so creamy - different from any other ice cream shops I've been to before. They also have the most unique flavors and they're ALL absolutely delicious! We got the Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet and Peppermint Chocolate Chip- both were amazing!!! My normal favorite is the Sweet Cream Honeycomb (must try!) I also love that the change their flavors regularly. The staff is always friendly and attentive :) This place is always very clean and ready for customers. Definitely has become my go-to spot for ice cream!
We were in the mood for ice cream during a recent visit to Phoenix so we stopped into the Screamery. We decided to get the ice cream flight so we could try as many flavors as possible. We had sweet cream honeycomb, coffee toffee, bourbon brittle, butter pecan, rough at sea and triple play. My favorite by far was the sweet cream honeycomb!! Sweet kid manning the store by himself, he definitely could have used some help with the amount of customers he had. read more

Have come here with kids and the ice cream here is absolutely delicious. Our kids have now had afternoon treats here a couple of times and each time they've tried something new they've been delighted. It's a bit healthier as all the milk is from grass-fed cows and the flavors are delicious. They have the traditional flavors and some fun flavors to try. It's a bit pricey for ice cream, but in all honesty... its reasonably priced for the premium ingredients. I was a little disappointed to learn that they don't do school fundraisers or donation support for local organizations. But that may change as they have more time in the community. read more

I stopped in here for a quick treat while working and loved what I ended up deciding on my first time. I got cookies and cream ice cream with a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was so good I honestly would've ordered it separate if I would've known! And you can never go wrong with cookies and cream. They had a bunch of other unique flavors that I will come back for and try. Great customer service also! read more

This is some great ice cream here. They do change the flavors to keep the variety happening. The chocolate peanut buttercup and blueberry cheesecake were excellent. The kids already want to go back. For those with allergies or concern about ingredients they post their ingredients on their website (https://www.thescreamery.com/Ingredients) read more

MY FAVORITE ICE CREAM SPOT Go right up to the counter and be greeted by the friendly staff. They are always nice and will let you sample whatever you want to try. Once you taste the ice cream you will notice something is different. You should notice a fresh taste from the local premium ingredients. The ice cream is all natural from grass-fed cows. Even fillings like the honey in the Sweet Cream Honeycomb is local from Marana, AZ. It's advisable to eat local honey if you have bad allergies so you just might as well just eat ice cream. Unlike other places, you will not go a bite without getting tons of fillings. The place is always clean and has a delightful smell. My favorite thing to get is the banana split with Cowboy Cookie, Banana Cream Pie and Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. Make sure to try the Cowboy Cookie!!!! read more

I came across The Screamery while searching on yelp for dessert suggestions, and am glad I did! The Screamery offers a wide variety of ice cream flavors at a low cost. I like that they allow you to pick two flavors for a size small. I definitely recommend the Triple Play and Blueberry Cheesecake, but maybe not together. I also like how the store takes pride in where their ice cream comes from. I will be back to try some more! read more

Celebrating my hunny and Is 1 year anniversary and had a sweet tooth craving. My boyfriend works in this area a lot and mentioned that he passes by it everyday and always wondered about stopping by. Well today was the day! Amazing delicious array of flavors gleaming and screaming our names. Especially since it's the first day of summer! What's awesome about this place is the locally owned, no artificial-flavor, self pasteurized milk that creates the amazing ice cream! I got the single size with fudgesicle and triple play (die hard chocolate fan)! My boyfriend got triple play and cookie dough. It doesn't matter what flavor is your preferred, all of flavors don't disappoint! We definitely indulged without having the guilty feeling afterwards. read more

HEY SCOTTSDALE! We FINALLY have our ice cream shop! I have long been wanting a badass ice cream shop to open up in the Scottsdale area. The Screamery is a winner. I have been almost a half dozen times with friends and family within its first month of business (I may need to get some stretchy pants soon). The Screamery employees highly emphasize the fact that their ice cream is from grass-fed cows, has no artificial chemicals and is pasteurized in-house. That is pretty cool! My Top 2 Flavors: Cookies & Cream - Sweet cream base mixed with Oreo cookie pieces Bourbon Brittle - Maker's Mark bourbon-infused base with homemade pecan brittle Get on over to this place to take a sweet break from the AZ heat! read more
I am taking a food tour of Tucson in a few weeks, and this spot came up. Looked good, and I love ice cream, so I added that to our Tucson list of places to try. That may change? I saw that they had just opened a Screamery here in Phoenix, and it was within walking distance of where we ate lunch at (Jet's Pizza). I figured that I would try it out right now! We walked in, were greeted by the girl behind the counter, and also saw a sign sitting right near the front of the line. "Grand Opening Special- Flight of Ice Cream $5.00" (Normally $7.49). Shit, don't have to tell me twice....sold! You get 6 decent sized scoops of ice cream in your flight. Here are the flavors I got, in the order that I liked them, and if I would eat them again on their own..................... 1. Ooey Gooey Buttercake- Vanilla base, with tons of pieces of butter cake throughout. Great flavor, great texture. Nice and rich. Winner! Would definitely get scoops of this again on its own. 2. Cowboy Cookie- Salted caramel base with oatmeal, walnuts and chocolate chip cookies. The salted caramel base was great, and the chunks of cookie were delicious. Reminded me of a Ben and Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Chunk. If you like that flavor, you will love this! Would definitely get scoops of this again on its own. 3. Bees Knees- Vanilla base with a lavender and honey swirl. This was pretty good. I could pick up a hint of lavender and less of a hint of the honey swirl. Tasted to me like a creamsicle, kind of. Interesting flavor. Not my favorite of the bunch, but not bad either. Don't know if I could eat scoops of this on its own. Maybe 1 scoop, but not multiples. 4. Banana Butterfinger- Banana base ice cream with pieces of Butterfinger. The banana base ice cream was good! A tad strong, but tasty. The Butterfingers were chopped too finely and didn't really add much to the mix. The banana was definitely the overpowering flavor. Wish they had larger chunks of Butterfinger in it. Could see myself eating a scoop of this again, but not multiple scoops. 5. Triple Play- Chocolate base with brownie pieces and chocolate chips. The brownie pieces and chocolate chips were great. Good texture and flavor. The chocolate base was horrible though. Had no "oomph" to it and was very plain and boring. Would not get this again. 6. Sweet Cream Honeycomb- Natural honeycomb pieces mixed in our sweet cream base. Yuck! I thought this would be great, but I didn't like it at all. The flavors didn't play off each other and it was syrupy tasting and just plain weird. I got a honeycomb piece in one bite that was ok, but the whole time eating this, I was thinking, "This is not good, at all." I considered tossing this one (If you know me, you know I LOVE ice cream and to even consider tossing this flavor, you know it had to have been pretty bad, lol!). Would definitely not get this again, and honestly it was one of the weirdest/worst flavors of ice cream I have ever sampled. Service was friendly by the 2 ladies that helped us, and the price was right for the amount of ice cream you get (the flight scoops are decent sized scoops....add them all up and its probably like a triple scoop), but the texture and flavors of some of them were just meh. The Ooey Gooey Buttercake and Cowboy Cookie are the only 2 flavors I would definitely order again. Also....after me and my buddies were done, we all felt really tired and kind of "weighed down" for the next hour or two. Like the ice cream wasn't sitting right (not sick or anything, just weighed down and not settled) in our stomachs. Weird. I'll give them another go if I am in the area, but am not racing back here to get this ice cream. read more

Delish! This ice cream is scrumptiosly rich, but not heavy or sweet, and so creamy and good. I knocked a star only because for $14, I want a hefty xl scoop of ice cream for me and the hubs, not the medium and large size which seemed like a kid scoop and a small scoop. I will still be back, the ice cream is too good to stay away and the flavors like Triple play with chocolate with brownie and chocolate chips and blueberry cheesecake, and other fun flavors with local and fresh ingredients can't be beat. You have to check them out, just count on about $5-7 for a satisfying scoop. read more
First time here, I ordered a pint with two flavors. Butter pecan and Sweet cream honeycomb. The flavor combination was intense vanilla and honey coming together with the flavor of the smooth butter pecan. It was so delicious! read more

I can now say that I've had bacon ice cream thanks to The Screamery. What a bacon lover/foodie treat! I was even able to split my single serving with two flavors! The Screamery is super fresh and doesn't use artificial ingredients. You can taste the quality in their ingredients. There are so many yummy flavors I still need to try and unfortunately right now they are not doing samples. Looks like I'll have to come back to try the other flavors read more
Really nice place. Reminds me of Bahama Bucks, but with ice cream vs. shaved ice. This isn't a place to go solo. It's pricey. Get a double scoop in a cup for only a couple bucks more, and share some really yummy goodness with your loved one This location boasts a clientele that can be a little snooty, but it's Scottsdale. But generally, quite a nice crowd. We had the double chocolate cherry + the peppermint ice cream with crushed thin mint cookies. The thin mints by/large were just that - large and could be crumbled a bit more. There's plenty of amazing mixed flavors to choose from, and they give nice size samples so you don't choose poorly. The line doesn't get stagnant, because we chose our flavors right away and we jetted to the front of the line to pay :) Tons of great toppings to choose from. Give this place a try, and save it for a date night! They also offer large dishes to share. One dish had 8 scoops of ice cream with unlimited toppings! $25 Not bad if four or five people split it :) read more

Ice cream! You scream! We all scream for SCREAMERY!!! Wooooo hooooo! Let me tell you, my friend and I had been talking about ice cream allllll weekend. My husband and her husband sort of ignored us allllll weekend okay, not really, but it was NOT a priority for them! We were leaving the last night of a marriage retreat and we'd made up in our minds that we were getting ice cream this night by any means necessary! I'd been eyeing Screamery as we'd pass it on the way to our hotel where we were staying for the retreat. So finally we made our way here. They had me (or my nose rather) at the door! We were happily greeted by Ryan and Brian (If I'm not mistaken). We must've sampled every ice cream that we saw....okay not EVERY. But ALMOST EVERY . I couldn't help it! They kept recommending one flavor after the next. I was stuck between sweet cream honeycomb (which had amazing natural honeycomb pieces) and ooey gooey butter cake which is vanilla ice cream mixed with butter cake pieces. And it's not gluten free (which I don't require....just putting that out there for those it concerns). I ended up getting the ooey gooey on a cone! talking about a taste of the clouds! Sheesh! The best part about Screamery is that all of the ice cream is made fresh and the base doesn't contain antibiotics, synthetic hormones or any chemical preservatives! Ahhhhhhhh! Sheesh! I was almost convinced that I could eat this for every meal, every day and be okay as it's less genetically engineered than other foods we eat. Nonetheless, i figured I'd spare my (almost) six pack abs. I will definitely be sure to visit again! We were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our ice cream. (I can't remember what Hubby ordered and he's asleep already but he ate it all and enjoyed it!) read more

Amazing little spot! I've been talking about ice cream flights for years and finally found a place that has put my idea into action! Here you can get a flight of ice cream allowing you to sample 6 different flavors. Each was delicious in its own right but my favorite were Triple Play and Cowboy Cookie. If you love supporting local business then this is a must stop for when you get that ice cream craving! read more
