The food was pretty good here I must admit. My daughter wrote an article about the business and the owner about two years ago and she'd been bugging me to try it with her. We did so about two weeks ago and I enjoyed it. I did feel that for $7 the serving size was smallish but possibly it is line with everything you buy these days. We had the VNA and the Reese's Lover and both were very satisfying. If you are in the area and want a treat you should try this place out.

After exploring Phoenix Art Museum, I was on the prowl for a sweet treat. So, I hopped on the trusty Yelp app and looked for dessert spots in the area. The Scookie Bar came up so we made our way. Located in Churchill (an open-air food hall) on Roosevelt Row, street parking is your best bet. I had to pay at metered parking on a weekend (one of my gripes about Phoenix). From there, it was a short walk. Ambiance (N/A): Ambiance isn't a big part of the experience at The Scookie Bar is just one vendor at this food hall. However, if you look at Churchill as a hole, it's an awesome bar. You have a shop or two, a pizza spot, a smoothie and acai bowls spot, a burger spot, two bars, and more. Cool spot to grab dinner and some drinks when the weather cooperates. Service (4/5): You order at the counter and then they will have your order ready for you in a minute or two. Quick and easy. Drinks (N/A): No beverages for me. To be honest, I don't even know if they have any. With that being said, Churchill has complimentary water. Which was definitely needed in August. Food (3/5): The Scookie Bar specializes in cookies with ice cream on top. You can choose from some of their creations or make your own. I made my own. You choose your cookie, ice cream flavor, a topping, and a sauce. I went with a snickerdoodle cookie, vanilla ice cream, Oreos, and strawberry drizzle. The cookie is warm which is a nice compliment to the ice cream. A la mode is next level. A warm cookie is always good, and it was solid, but it didn't blow me away. While I like the idea of cookies with ice cream, toppings, and sauces, it didn't blow me away. An average dessert in my book. If you haven't been to Churchill, check them out. Lots of variety to choose from in a cool environment.

My work catered the scookie bar for a sweet treat and it definitely did not disappoint! I was so excited they had a gf cookie available so I could join in on the fun. This could totally be shared between two people, it's so sweet and the size is generous. The employee was so friendly! I need to come check out this phx location, or I hope we cater again.

The Scookie bar always hits the spot. The warm cookie with the creamy ice cream of your choice is always going to make you lick the whole spoon. The staff is always kind and wonderful. The location is perfect. The first spot inside the Churchill. And the Churchill always has great music and seating areas to relax and have your dessert.

Such a great sweet treat & affordable! If you are in the downtown area or at the Churchill stop by! I'm happy there is an actual dessert option now

Quality/Quantity - My spoiled daughter craved ice cream on this cold winter night... So here we are, but I appreciated coming here to The Churchill and Scookie Bar. And discovering this place and location. Not sure what she got, but she said she chose too many different toppings as they contrasted with each other. Her fault, no one else's. Other than that, she said she really liked it. I, nor did anyone else, try her treat as it was a very cold winter night. Not sure if she even offered, JK; I know she is going to read this, lol. Atmosphere - Think "container store." Similar and almost as cool as the Container Park in Las Vegas (just drove from there). Service - Good, very patient with my daughter who customized her order. Price - $9. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2016 and at this location since early 2024.

    So good!!

The chocolate chip cookie was soft and gooey. They had a wide variety of toppings. I chose chocolate with peanut butter sauce Reese pieces and Reese's peanut butter cups. It was decadent and probably best to split. It was a great dessert! It just took them a couple of minutes to prepare it. It is located within the Brill Line which is made out of shipping containers with lots of seating options in the middle. There are also several bars, burger place , and pizza joint. There was a decent amount of street parking nearby .

So this is my second time at Churchill but this time early enough to get dessert from The Scookie Bar! I was excited to get a cookie let alone a Scookie! I ordered the Signature which was a snickerdoodle cookie with vanilla ice cream, caramel drizzle and almond topping!! Yes it was AH- Mazing tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in real form! It was cute little window store front that was painted with its ingredients ice cream and a cookie. My order was taken quickly and kindly. Just loved my quick but delicious stop at The Scookie bar!

I was craving dessert after dinner and found the Scookie Bar on Yelp. Definitely the right size cookie with a gooey inside and crispy outside. Next time I will go light on the chocolate chips because there was a bit too many, but definitely hit the spot.

This is the spot where the scoop meets the cookie. AKA "Scookie" Located inside the Evans Churchill Building (the Roosevelt Row Arts District) it's to the right, right as you walk in. Perfect treat on these hot summer days in the valley. The menu is pretty straight forward. Customizable options in three simple steps. Pick your cookie dough, then your favorite flavored ice cream and finished off with multiple options of toppings. They also promote their top sellers and we decided to go with the Resse's Lover; which is chocolate chip cookie, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, & Reese's Peanut Butter Sauce. The warm, gooey cookie with cold, fresh ice cream was a great combination and obsessed with ANYTHING chocolate & peanut butter! Lots of fun things to do while inside the courtyard. They have corn hole, darts, two bars, a few shops, restaurants and you can grab a seat to relax, eat, drink & catch some sports on their surrounding tv's too! It's a dog friendly spot for the pooch(es) also! They showcase live music and weekly activities within the space as well. Check their website for details.

The line was long but definitely worth the wait! Great addition to The Church Hill it's a cute little cookie shop! The cookies are soft and the menu has a good selection of cookies and ice cream!

What a great spot! I found street parking nearby and walked over to The Churchill to get myself a scookie (skillet cookie). This is such a cool outdoor courtyard with several businesses like State Forty Eight, Neighborhood Market, and more. I decided to create my own with a chocolate chip cookie, chocolate chip cookie, Reese's peanut butter sauce, peanut butter cups, and sprinkles ($8). They have some creations to choose from for $7. My treat was delicious - loved the soft cookie with the cold ice cream and toppings. Service was quick and friendly and they were doing a special fundraiser for Palestine when I visited. Love to see small businesses supporting important causes! I wish all the best to The Scookie Bar and am so glad I tried them.

I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. I have literally been thinking about that gelato since I left Phoenix. Luckily this company has locations in Texas so I will definitely be seeking out this gelato soon.

As a born and raised New Yorker, I take food very seriously... and Italian pastries even more so…read more Just before Christmas, I was traveling from New Yawk (visiting my parents) back to Phoenix to attend a family dinner at my partner's parent's home in Scottsdale. While I was still in NYC with my family on XMas eve eve, it hit me... I need to bring something besides wine everytime I go to their home. Nor a Southern dish. I wanted something unapologetically New Yaek. And what's more New Yawk than a box of classic Italian cookies? After asking a few Yelp friends where to find the best Italian cookies in Phoenix, The Sicilian Baker kept coming up. I called them last minute on Christmas Eve eve, having never been there before, totally sight unseen. First of all, their voicemail is hilarious. Truly. If you do nothing else, call just to hear it. It will instantly make you want to order something. Once I reached a real person, I explained my situation, that I wouldn't be able to come in beforehand, I needed a beautiful cookie tray for about 14-16 people, and I had a few must have preferences. Without hesitation, they said, "We got you." I was assured it would be ready when I landed on Xmas eve. Sure enough, after my partner picked me up from the airport, we headed straight to The Sicilian Baker. Parking right out front, a huge plus. As soon as you pull in, you're greeted with Frank Sinatra playing, not just inside, but even in the parking lot. It sets the tone immediately. We walked in, gave my name, and within minutes a lovely young person brought out my tray. Ten minutes later, we were on our way. Easy. Efficient. Warm service that made me actually grab a small box of cookies to drop my besties home on the way outta there. I didn't even realize at first that there's a sit down restaurant next door where you can relax and enjoy something. Great to know for next time ;) . Now, let's talk about the cookies. Yes, they are on the pricier side, but every single dollar was worth it. The tray was robust. Classic Italian pastries across the board like lobster tails, tri-colored almond cakes, cannolis, and all the favorites you hope for when you're trying to impress a room full of potential inlaws. And impress it did. The moment I walked in with that tray, it was a hit. People were already claiming which pastries they wanted, plotting what they'd take home, and hovering before dinner was even finished. There was more than enough for 16 people, grand is the only word for it, which is my style 1,000%. To this day, they're still talking about those cookies which makes me phenomenally proud (and humbled). I say this in all my reviews, "I hate almost everything. I'm discerning. I'm critical. And when something truly represents what I stand for - quality, authenticity, and heart, I will shout it from the rooftops". The Sicilian Baker delivered New York level excellence in Phoenix! Do not walk, runswiftly to this place if you need a gift, a show stopping dessert, or simply want to treat yourself. I cannot wait to go back. Highly, highly recommended.

It's smooth, rich without being too heavy, and the flavor actually develops as you eat it instead of just being one-note sweet. You can tell they take this part seriously. Leave it outside the fridge for an hour and watch that cheesecake melt on your tongue crystals (if you have the patience for that) Their rotating monthly flavors keeps things interesting, and you're not just stuck with the same lineup every time. Out of what I tried, the banana pudding one was easily a standout--super nostalgic, creamy, and just done right without being overly sweet. The coconut one was also up there, more subtle but still really clean and flavorful. Love me some coconut! They also have a punch card system--buy 9 slices, get the 10th free--which is a nice touch. It lowkey turns into a mission because once you've tried one flavor, you kinda want to work your way through all of them anyway. Now...the downside. The customer service just isn't great. It's not aggressive or anything, just noticeably lacking. There's not much warmth or engagement--it feels pretty transactional. For a place that clearly puts effort into their product, you'd expect at least a baseline level of hospitality, and it's just not really there. So overall, if you're going to Banhams, go for the cheesecake. The rotating flavors keep it fresh, the quality is legit, and it's definitely worth trying. Just don't expect much from the service side, and you'll enjoy it a lot more.

My husband gone butter, pecan with brownies and whipped cream, which was very tasty as well! Honestly the ice cream was good.. But for being such a fun looking ice cream shop and for being downtown Phoenix. I expected the vibe in there to be a little bit more inviting a little bit more fun and upbeat! I mean, at least some music playing! Once the other customers left, it was just my husband and I was sitting there the employees were nowhere in sight there's no music no entertainment at all inside. and outside, you can see the hustle and bustle of the nightlife which was nice!
