Our party of 4 arrived at the restaurant and although there were several tables open, the hostess told us it would be a ten to fifteen minute wait because they were in the middle of shift change. Okay, I guess. What was not okay with us was after we were done eating and still at our table, the hostess brings people to our table and says they can have the table as soon as we leave. Pizza used to be fantastic. Check the date on reviews. It changed with the new owner and building. While very expensive, it is now roughly the equivalent of an off-brand frozen pizza. I did not think I would go back, but a friend invited me today. I had a hamburger. The size was good, but it was pretty dry. My drink ran dry, and they did not come back to ask about refills. Beware that everything is extra. Waitress asked "What side would you like," implying that fries were included. Read the fine print. A $15 hamburger is now about $19. And when the waitress asks "do you want change back," pandering for a tip, her tip just dropped in half. Not going back. read more

I ordered a mushroom Swiss and cheese curds to go. I couldn't believe the price and the burger wasn't edible. The mushrooms tasted spoiled and the burger was so well done, it was like chewing on a hockey puck. The cheese curds were so hard I thought I was going to break a tooth. First time to this restaurant- Great pizza place atmosphere with excellent service (shoutout to our server Tracy)... Great thin crust pizza with fresh ingredients. We also had the teriyaki and buffalo (hot) chicken wings... both very good. Service was very fast for a Friday night... server was professional, friendly, good communication, and checked in on us often ... also helpful bartenders who changed our nearby TV channel to a game we wanted to watch. Very nice atmosphere and spacious. Server was friendly. We had a small pizza and a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Pizza was good and pulled pork was a little fatty for my taste. However, it was flavorful. Coleslaw is mayonnaise based but on the dry side. We were told it was vinegar based but it wasn't. We would go back maybe to try something different. read more

We visited The Saloon for the first time since their relocation and had an incredible experience! The new building is very elegant and has the perfect western atmosphere. The pizza is, of course, delicious as always. In addition, their menu has quite a few non-pizza and gluten-free options, so there's something for everyone there! When we were finished with our meal they wrapped our pizza for us and even put it on a new cardboard tray. The service was amazing despite the restaurant being packed on a busy evening. The owner was even out greeting tables and checking in on folks during their meal. Now THAT is a business I want to support. Cannot wait to return again! read more

Used to be the best pizza in the area until the new owners bought it and started pretending they didn't change the recipe (they did). It's still good but not what I grew up with and when I crave that it doesn't exist anymore. I also hate that they tried to make it a fancy restaurant, it used to be a good old fashioned dive bar with incredible pizza now it's inflated prices for worse pizza and always full of pretentious rich old people. If it wasn't called The Saloon I would be nicer but they destroyed something I loved. read more

Went to the Saloon in a busy Saturday night during Memorial Day weekend. There were no tables available but we were able to find seats at the bar right away. We ordered beer, wings, and pizza. Service was very quick. Beer from the tap was super cold and tasty. Teriyaki and buffalo wings tasted fantastic and were fall-off-the-bone tender. The thin crust pizza was cooked perfectly. My only complaint about the restaurant is that I thought it was a bit pricey, but regardless I'm giving five stars and I will be back next time I'm in town. read more

Being from Chicago and growing up loving Chicago pizza I was hesitant to order from a Michigan Restaurant. Much to my surprise their pizza was one of the best I ever had! My boyfriend and I were going to order take out but he said the ambiance was nice so we decided to dine in. However, we were only able to order drinks and apps. Our server was taking our order and her ipad crashed and when she came back she said the kitchen closed 8 mins prior. ***Best gluten free pizza option*** Growing up in Gladstone, the Saloon was always the go to for great pizza. I hadn't tried the Saloon since the new one opened. I now have gluten sensitivity so I thought pizza would be out of the question. Lucky for those of us that do, they have a gluten free pizza option. Let me tell you. We were huge fans of Saloon Pizza in the past. It used to be the best pizza in the area, by a good measure. I was excited to go back the new place. The new building is great - nice ambience, friendly service, easy access and almost enough parking. But I just have to say, please bring the old, good pizza back. This one, a Supreme, just didn't cut it. The crust was decent, but the rest wasn't much different from a frozen pizza from the supermarket. And for a $37 check, it should have been MUCH better. I was excited to try this place out after hearing about how good their food was. We got (2) 16" pizzas ($60) and an order of their 12 piece boneless wings ($18). It's kind of pricey, but I thought the food would make up for it. First, the wings never came out as an appetizer. They came with the pizza. It would have been nice to get them ahead of time. The sauce was delicious, but some of the pieces were the size of a quarter... gone in no time. The Margherita pizza was cold and had about 2" of thin, burnt crust around the outside. There was not much flavor to the pizza, so salt was needed. The meatlovers had less crust around the outside, but it was so thin that you couldn't hold a piece up without it breaking. The atmosphere was good, and the people were nice, but we won't be going back. The food quality and value were not there for us. On top of it all, they add a 3.5% non-cash fee for credit cards. The BLT is an perfect. The crust bacon and cheese is warm. The lettuce and tomatoes are cool. The Saloon is a "must stop" for any visit in Gladstone. read more

we got 2 medium pizzas one veggie one supreme a chef salad a side salad delivered the total was $88. bucks a lil steep 5 dollar delivery fee which I don't mind but cmon how is a family to afford that ?? don't think they will stay In business that long. This is good, small town, greasy pizza. Yes I am sure some of the items are canned or basic toppings.....but this is not a CPK. I have lived in many places, but each time I come home....I can't wait to get here and order their pizza and amazing stuffed mozzarella breadsticks. They make their own sauce and dough for the pizza. I always order pepperoni, ham, and sausage! Is the decor lacking? For sure. Do you feel like you stepped back in time? Absolutely. Lets just call it "nostalgic and retro with a little bit of a yooper touch"... This place gets super busy on the weekends (an hour wait or so because there are so many take out orders). My boyfriend and I kept hearing about this delicious blt pizza you have so we came in a couple weeks ago on a friday and sat at the bar.
