Our server was nice and they were busy, so I drove back to pick it up. When I got home for the second time, I discovered that the $26 takeout meal was incomplete. The container only had the garlic bread, and the side salad that came with the meal was missing. Since the restaurant is about 15 minutes away, I called and asked if they could simply credit me for the missing salad. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, the manager immediately questioned whether the meal even included a side salad. It does. I ordered it, and it's part of the meal. He then told me the salad was $1.99 and that he could credit that amount in 8-10 business days. Since he didn't offer a salad voucher for the future I accepted. That did not sound right so I checked the menu after hanging up, where I found the salad actually costs $3.50. At that point, it wasn't about $1.50. It was about the way I was being treated. Rather than simply apologizing and making things right, I felt like the manager was being cheap and patronizing. Then I got irritated. So I decided to drive back to the restaurant again to pick up the missing salad. When I got there, the manager confronted me and said he had been "just about to process the credit", I told him he said $1.99 and that was not the price of the item, So I just came and got it. He then insisted he had told me he wasn't sure of the price. That isn't what happened. He confidently told me it was $1.99. It felt like he was trying to rewrite the conversation instead of taking responsibility. Oh his parting words were not I am sorry, it was "good thing I didn't process that credit!" Customer service 101 lesson, a good manager should know the menu, own mistakes, and focus on taking care of customers. We spent around $100 on dinner, and I wasn't looking for anything free just the item I'd already paid for or a fair credit. I expect better for the price. ($18.99 for chicken and fries.) The missing salad wasn't what prompted this review. It was the repeated attempts to avoid responsibility over a $3.50 side salad. He should have put me on hold. Looked and the menu and offered a customer focused solution. In the end, the restaurant likely lost customers over $1.50, not because of the money, but because of him. Mistakes happen everywhere. How they're handled is what people remember, and unfortunately, this experience left me feeling dismissed and irritated rather than valued.

So many TV's! Lots of beers on tap. I had a smash burger (which comes as a double) along with waffle fries. I would highly recommend ordering a side of beer cheese dip for the fries (yum!) Food was great, bartender/server was friendly and fun. A little pricey (but it seems everything is now). Will be back for diner because I heard the ribs were good too!

Once at our table we waited 40+ min before I could flag down a server. During which the table of 10+ next to us left, they cleaned the table, sat 10 more people and served them the fish bowl. The server served every other table in the restaurant before talking to us, including checking on two of the tables near us again to make sure they had everything included in the meal. Finally after every single other person in the restaurant was served and checked on, the waitress walked by and stated " did the other waitress serve you?". I said no and began going over our order which included a non lactose meal which the waitress stated " I can read..." and walked away. Only to then be brought not only the wrong plate but not be brought bread or corn. I had to point it out and the waitress stated "oh, I guess you're right." Then clearly overheard that they were out of fish, clearly the reason my wife was given the wrong meal. I again want to be clear that the table next to us had their entire meal start to finish already at this point and this was a prearranged meal that should have been served with everyone else at that fish boil time. It was clear that our server would rather die than speak to me as I raised my hand again and again every time she passed by. Finally she stopped by the table and said that they were cooking our food in the back and that it would be out shortly. I asked for an explanation as the entire meal should have been cooked in the fish boil and not separately. The waitress laughed and said "it's boiled in water out there, it's boiled in water in the back, what's the difference..." my wife then said we need to speak to a manager since that's not the experience. Another person stepped over 5-10 min later and said let me explain that we are cooking it and it will be out shortly, confused we asked if it was cooked in the fish boil and if she was the manager, which she said no. Finally the manager did come over, however after an hour and a half my wife had already left. I felt completely unwelcome, like we were the problem. The manager did comp the meal however stated that "what did we want there was fish...?" again my wife never received her correct meal as they were out of fish. I am honestly so confused as to how or why the waitress wanted to completely avoid serving us, not bring food after we were the last ones left, get another server when asked for her manager to confuse us more, and the manager to clearly just want us to leave as soon as possible... as if we were the problem for eating there. This experience took over 2 hours,

My husband and I drove 80 miles to have lunch here on a cold, wintery Saturday because we wanted to take a little road trip. We chose to sit on the bar side of the restaurant rather than the side with a lake view. It was warm and inviting with knotty pine walls and a vaulted ceiling using logs for support beams. Very charming with a stone-faced fireplace on one end. We ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich with house-made chips and the Cabin Burger with fries. They were served on a large plate and the plate was full! Great presentation! We really enjoyed the food, but required a box to take half of it home. Our server was a college student who was so personable and efficient. All in all, a great experience which we will do again in the near future. read more

After being closed for five years this wonderful place is now open with new owners. I recently took a weekend trip to Gladstone and was thrilled to find this beautiful restaurant/bar open again. Met the new owners....very nice! Our hostess and new owner seated us overlooking the beautiful bay for dinner. I ordered the prime rib and when our food came out it looked almost as good as it tasted....wonderful! Done to perfection! Outstanding service, can't wait to visit again. read more
