We were in town overnight and needed a place for a quick dinner. There wasn't much open on the Sunday night of a holiday weekend, but Mo's was, so we popped in. We got a table in the bar which was pretty lively. The very friendly waitress got our order in quickly. They had a large menu including a whole section of specialty hot dogs, which I'm a sucker for. So I ordered one with chili, cheese and fried onions. Not only was it delicious but it was a very large hot dog. A big thumbs up. My wife got a sandwich on their special menu that was "Greek". She liked it a lot but there was nothing Greek about it. Prices were good and the food was good. Definitely recommended. read more

We stopped in for lunch on our way through while on a UP road trip. We were happily surprised how good the food was here. Every plate that came out of the kitchen I wished I had ordered that! For an Appetizer we ordered the warm pretzel sticks with a side of beer cheese and ranch. They were so good. We boxed up the leftovers and ate them later. We ordered a pizza, half pepperoni and half canned mushrooms. It was so good with a great amount of toppings. Two of us shared a medium think crust pizza it was a good size. Although I was born and raised in Escanaba, I haven't been back home in years. We checked out Mo's last week while visiting family. We were very impressed! We had 5 people in our party and sat near the bar area. The service was impeccable--super nice and attentive waitresses. The food was decently priced and tasted excellent! Great choice for good food in a friendly bar/restaurant atmosphere. When we walked in I noticed something right away. Bar tender and one of the waitresses yelled "welcome, we will be right with you". And after being seated we heard something similar every time new customers came in. Nice touch! Service was excellent, and even though it was a busy Friday lunch crowd, food came out relatively quick. I had the Cod Sandwich Special, which included fries for $12. The sandwich was really good, loved the large chunk of battered cod on a tasty bun. (Came with tomato, lettuce and tartar sauce). I would definitely come back for this sandwich. (Might only be on Fridays?) My wife had Mo's Club. It was huge, so big it was tough to fit in her mouth to take a bite! Lots of meat, yet was light and fresh tasting. We didn't order pizza, but a couple of tables around us did. And it looked pretty good too! Menu was really large for a "bad food" type restaurant. Needed a break from camping chow and other Yelpers' comments persuaded me to try Mo's. I wasn't steered wrong. Mo's has a cozy, congenial pub atmosphere, a place where you'd be glad to linger over drinks with friends, or, as I saw at a number of tables, bring your younger kids for a dinner out. Lots of beers on tap, including many from UP breweries, which isn't a bad thing at all. I had a Belgian ale from Ore Dock brewing, which I'd never seen before. To eat I ordered the ribeye sandwich, which is essentially a French dip, but with the steak in one piece rather than thinly shaved. Not sure if that made it better, but it was satisfying enough. I love coming to Mo's if I am in the area or even the country for that matter! I enjoy the pub style atmosphere with an inviting, respectful, and accommodating staff! There are various beers to select from including microbrews and domestic, and plenty of spirits for mixed drinks. The food is excellent here! Although, I haven't been able to try everything, my favorite is the crispy buffalo chicken wrap with a substitute of French Fries and the Ghost Burger. All the food has very good flavor, depending on my appetite, I will sometimes double my order! Mo's is a must try if you are in the Escanaba area! While in the area last fall, the bartender at Upper Hand recommended Mo's Pub for some dinner. I'm so glad we stopped in! We were seated right away and our server was kind and funny. The menu is pretty expansive with lots of choices, but I was feeling a pizza - they had some great specialty options and choice of crust type. The food all came out pretty fast and I liked everything I tried. The boom boom fried shrooms were great - not super breaded, crispy, and hot. We also got the soft pretzels which were so tasty - soft and salty. Our friend said the pulled pork tacos were "ok". I loved the pizza - Nate and I shared a medium thin crust supreme, with pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, olives, and mushrooms. Yum! We were happy to have leftovers for later that night. There is a kids room full of toys, and lots of families were at this bar. Definitely a welcoming spot with friendly staff. Someone noticed that I looked confused while searching for the bathroom and they pointed me in the right direction. I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again next time we're in the area. read more

The food was so good!! The boom boom shrooms were amazing-- they are sliced mushrooms deep dried and served with sweet chili mayo. Soooo amazing. And their cheesy bread- oh my gosh it was amazing and creamy. Their shrimp tacos were amazing as well- the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Their burgers were good but average, same with their fries, but still very tasty. (Burgers were slightly overcooked.) I didn't try their pizza but if the cheesy bread was that good I bet their pizza would be amazing too. I wish I would have tried their pizza! The service was good and food came out fast. :) It was quiet for a Friday night but that's what I prefer. The kitchen closes at 10 but drinks keep rolling until abt 12. On our visit I ordered the hangover burger with a portobello mushroom cap and no bacon, it was seriously one of the best burgers I have ever had! It was extremely messy but so worth the mess! I would highly recommend it! My husband ordered the Buffalo shrimp tacos which also were delicious. We were greeted by a couple of different people welcoming us as we walked in. Came in for breakfast and as usual the food was great! The breakfast skillets are well prepared (layered) eggs cooked to perfection! I love the marble rye bread. UP North Roast Coffee is my favorite and I am happy to see local business's supporting each other. My mother was with me and she was impressed with the food but even more with the decor. I absolutely love this place. It is my favorite in town. I had this waitress (I think her name was Brittany but I'm not 100% sure, but next time I go I hope she is there so I can know for sure) and she was the BEST waitress I have ever had. She was prompt, knew what I was gonna ask for (condiments and such) before I even asked, and was the nicest waitress. I had 4 kids with me as I took my nieces out to eat, and a kind stranger paid for my meal. The waitress informed me of this and I asked if I could still tip with a card as I didn't have cash. She said since another person paid I couldn't use a card to tip since I didn't have an open bill or receipt. I asked for a piece of cake to go then to make sure she got a tip, and she tried to tell me multiple times that wasn't necessary and her tip was how kind my family was. I insisted and she eventually gave in and rang me up for a cake to allow me to tip her. She worked her butt off, and tried not to accept a tip but there was no way I was leaving without tipping her. She was absolutely amazing and one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Oh, and the food was amazing! read more
