Great salad bar and fish fry! We went midafternoon and enjoyed a quiet meal right before the rush.

The food was very tasty & service was prompt and polite . It was a perfect night to dine on the patio!

Great food! Great service! Reasonable prices! Our party had several different dinner options including prime rib, pizza bar. Sandwiches and pasta. Everyone thought the food was good. Our server was excellent and friendly. read more

I'm not sure what I was expecting, probably burgers and wings and fried mushrooms lol. I was pleasantly surprised to find a great salad bar, and many dinner options. I had the rib special, and they were perfect, second only to a special place I go at home. Service was perfect. And the price was great. I can't think of anything to gripe about if I wanted to decor was typical bar/supper club look from days gone by. read more

Googled Fried chicken when we were at the casino. Took a beautiful ride over (15 minutes) and had a great meal. Excellent service, great salad bar and a cute atmosphere. Full bar too. You won't be disappointed. Take a break from the casino and meet some locals. read more

We have always passed by and said, "We have to try this place." We did today. Why didn't we stop sooner? VERY FRIENDLY. So many choices ... we settled on: Pepperoni and Bacon thin crust pizza (YES!!!!) Big Matt Burger - Ford River Big Mac - but better than a Big Mac! Boneless chicken wings - we got sweet heat (or something along those lines). AND, a deep-fried pasty. EVERYTHING was delicious. Hot. HUGE portions. Very clean establishment. We are definitely going to stop again and try more things! read more

Super friendly, kind hearted people that were sure we got fed tonight as we entered as they were closing. Terrific pizza selection. We had the Philly cheese steak pizza. Yum! read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. My mother visited this place 2 weeks ago and I was the worst dining experience she's ever had. She was there in a group of 4 who frequents this place throughout the year and everyone left stunned and disappointed at this dining nightmare. Food typically is quite good but it was average at best and fries were extremely salty. When addressed the issue with waitress, everything turned south and staff became obnoxiously rude and condescending. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday. Prime Rib special was awesome! Salad bar is very good. You can eat on their huge deck or inside. Great place!

Oh my gawd when I day delicious pizza and above par cleanliness they are on point! Ordered the white pizza which is white garlic sauce, spinach, red onion and ur choice of pepperoni or chicken, I added bacon instead and it was fabulous! Cheese pull was at least 8 inches or more. If you are anywhere near here go and eat thin crust yumminess!! read more

Friday fish fry was unbelievable! The salad bar was also super great and our waitress was on the ball all night long.

Made reservations and arrived on time. Had a little of wait. The service was good, the food was fantastic. The salad bar was included in our fish dinners. Each of us had a different fish and we all agree it was delicious. Before you get a plate there was a note saying please use sanitize which was good. All the food in its container on the salad bar looked appetizing. The lady was right there being attentive to it. Applause applause. We will definitely be back. read more

Great place for a Friday night fish fry. The perch is amazing and it has a great salad bar as well.

My husband raved about the prime rib and he's super fussy! I had the coconut shrimp, it was a bit sweet for my taste. The ice cream is amazing, the cherry fudge is one of the best ice creams I've ever had. read more

Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty! The nachos supreme came with homemade chips. I ordered a burger ( excellent) with hand cut fries, a favorite! The fried chicken was moist with batter that was not too thick, just right. Our children enjoyed the thin crust pizza. We are glad that we came to eat here! read more

Great food great service! Best salad bar I have seen in the UP. The ladies loved the Coconut shrimp and the perch was excellent. Very busy and the service was still very good after a short wait for a table, being Friday night. read more

My favorite place to stop. Fish is good, burger's are awesome even the wraps are good. I stop every time thru. Awesome.

Terrible place! Waitress returns bill to be signed without returning my credit card. We scoured the place with the help of the waitress while the bartender proceeded to blame me for misplacing and had an oh-well SOL "nothing we can do" attitude. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. Had to cancel the card half way into my vacation. Unbelievable read more

Bar food. Good fish fry on Friday nights. Nice patio in summer. Reasonable prices. Chicken dinner is also good. Sometimes have entertainment but place is small so can get loud. Owners are local and friendly. read more

My family travels to northern Michigan each year for vacation. We always end our stay with dinner at a local place and we choose the Ford River Pub. The atmosphere is laid back and very casual - nicely decorated and well maintained. We ordered chicken wing appetizers that came with our dinner after a 25 minute wait after ordering - the wings (battered only) were the best of dinner. My wife and I had cod dinner. The baked potatoes were dry and only warm. The cod was overlooked and dry, and, again, only warm. The fish came with a side of coleslaw that was quite yummy. Tarter was odd and seemed a mix of mayo and pickle relish only. My son had the Sunday fried chicken special. One leg was undercooked and bloody. The other three pieces were dry. His came with fries that seemed hand cut and were tasty. Daughter had honey BBQ wings and she was happy. Our server seemed a little overwhelmed even though I didn't think it was busy for early evening. I doubt we'd return - we are not picky restaurant snobs but for the wait, the food quality and service was poor. read more

NEVER had a bad meal, food and drinks are excellent.... atmosphere is great, love the salad bar. I would recommend the Pub anytime

My husband and I eat here on Mothers day for the buffet. We called and made a reservation, arrive early and waited for our table. When we were seated we waited for our waitress. After she took our order we went to the salad bar ( I left my purse on the stool at our table. We were away from our table no more than 5 min. when we came back our table was being pushed up to another table to seat a larger group. My purse had been moved to the bar. I asked what they were doing and they said the putting the tables together for the other group. I asked where we were to go and where my purse was. Our waitress and another employee who was helping move the tables plus others from the larger party. They all thought it was pretty funny including the employees. Sorry I did not!!!! Our waitress claims that she thought they had moved us. Someone explain to me how all of this happened in a matter of 5 min. with my purse still sitting there. No one thought to look at the buffet table? This is the 3rd time we have eat here. The first time it was also just my husband and I the second was with a group of 15 people. The only time there was decent service was with the large group. Obliviously the only time they give decent service is for large groups and people they know. I am sorry but all the lame excuses and sorry s just don't cut it. Oh I forgot we also received 2 drink tokens, which by the way we were not even drinking. Needless to say we won't be back and the drink tokens were given to a stranger as we left. 3 STRIKES YOUR OUT Peggy Hansen read more
