Consistently great pizza! We always make sure to order a pizza on the rare occasion we are in the area.

Stopped here after the Upper Michigan State Fair. One of our party has very weird taste in pizza, so this is actually a difficult review to write because I don't know if any pizza place could do a good job with a Chicken and Onion pizza. Yep, that's right, Chicken and Onion! Regardless of the toppings, the sauce was good and there was plenty of cheese. The crust seemed a little doughy and under baked. If we are ever in the area again, I would try them again, but with more traditional toppings. read more

Ordered a meatza pizza for pickup last evening. It was delicious as always and done on time. The staff was busy and pleasant.

Very friendly staff. Slices are incredibly good and convenient to grab during a lunch break. Generally takes only two minutes in and out to get a good slice of pizza or 3. They will NEVER make you pay for a dried out slice that has been sitting for hours like Main Street does, and the slices are nearly identical. The recipe they use for slices has thicker crust than the regular one they use and I like it more but you can order a whole pizza with this recipe if you ask! It's AWESOME. Ok, people put too much emphasis on this star thing. In this case it's 3.5 for the Oven King Pizza. Had a chance to stay in the newly renovated Econolodge! The lovely clerk suggests this place for hometown pizza. Get settle in my room overlooking the beautiful newly paved parking lot. I order a pie with ham, sausage, mushroom which is my norm. The pie arrives hot and looks great. This was a good pie. Sauce good, fixing plentiful and the crust was chewy with a crisp to it. Make Oven King Pizza your place to order pie! read more

I just moved into a new place about six blocks from Oven King. I placed an order last night and opted to pick it up and carry out. I walked to there to pay and walked back with my order. The staff was comfortably casual and helpful They made my order exactly how I requested and asked if I needed anything else. The worst part of this experience was the fact that my pizza cooled somewhat by the time I got finished walking home. Maybe I should have opted for delivery service when the wind chill was -3°F. Carry out Pizza. We called ahead and picked up the pizza and subs right on time. The pizza was good and the subs were also except for the roll. We grew up in New Jersey and it is just about impossible to get good hard rolls anywhere except New Jersey and New York. We have lived in CT, VA, NC, and SC and none of their rolls compare either. So we are not holding that against Oven Pizza King. We would recommend there pizza to everyone because it tastes good. read more

Travelled in from out of town, picked Oven King because of it's good reviews and close proximity. Wow! 2 mediums, cheese breadsticks and dessert sticks fed our family of 6 (including 3 teenagers) and we had some leftover. Bacon Cheeseburger pizza was awesome, so was Meatza! So many toppings you couldn't even see the pizza. Awesome, highly recommend! read more

Well I have ordered in the past and not been disappointed but never blown away by this place. Mediocre food and service. Tonight I called to place a delivery order an hour and a half before they closed and Nick thought it was pretty annoying that someone wanted to give this place business. I am a new resident to the area and was looking for a new local pizza place. Regionally it seems like thin crust pizza is loved a lot here. I usually end up going for a thicker crust but that is really only found at local chain pizza places. I ordered a medium pizza with ground beef and black olives as well as breadsticks with ranch. The pizza is a thinner crust but it's not as cracker thin as other places around. The ground beef tasted delicious. I only wished that there was a little bit more sauce on the pizza. The breadsticks were very tasty and I look forward to trying their dessert and cheese sticks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some quality pizza. read more

How is it that this place doesn't have a review? While there is an ongoing debate in the area as to where you can get the best pizza, this place has to be among the contenders and is definitely my top pick. A solid menu with some sandwiches, salads and a few other items that I am sure are very good but the highlight of the menu is the namesake pizza. A great pie baked on stones in ovens at just the right temp. A great crust, quality toppings and a good staff. My favorite is a simple pepperoni. The quality of a pizza joint's pepperoni pizza is the standard by which I make my first judgments and theirs is outstanding. The king supreme covers all the standard supreme topping and is a a great pie as well. They do sell individual slices for a buck and a half and two slices would make a decent quick lunch for most folks. Soda is also available and the turn around times on orders is usually pretty quick. Awesome food, sandwiches, and of course awesome PIZZA! I love their nachos and their chicken cordon bleu pizza. My only gripe is that a couple times they've messed up my order, usually small things like the wrong soda or forgetting an extra we asked for, and having been delivery it was kind of pointless to "send it back" or whatever so we're stuck with what they gave us/forgot. But their food is so good I will never not be a customer. I love this place. read more

we are new to the area and got a welcome packet, and we were given a coupon with a free 2 topping pizza and a menu attached decided we were not in the mood to cook so we ordered the pizza and some other things off the menu and when I was given my total it was at least 7.00 more then what I had totaled up and that was before the delivery charge when I asked why my total was so much more the young guy on the phone says that the wings I was ordering were 9.00 each and I said the menu I have says that there 6.99 each and his response was that was an old menu and it had been updated 3 mo. ago, I told him I would take the order but they should have honred the menu I have now this one time, owner got on the phone and says that theses are the prices and then says he doesn't wish to have me as a customer and hangs up on me. read more
