Pepperoni pizza, fries, Caesar salad, chicken parm. - The image shows a dining table with various dishes including a pepperoni pizza on a wooden serving board, a bowl of Caesar salad with cheese shavings and lemon slices, a plate of French fries, and a rectangular plate with bread and toppings. There are also condiments, a glass of water, and an empty wine glass on the table. The setting appears to be a restaurant with wooden chairs and a cozy atmosphere.
Lovez 2.

Prices were great, very reasonable. The caesar salad was delicious, and was less than $7. The pizza was okay. The fries were good. The chicken parm was great! The bar was clean and new in feel, three big tvs. Eric the bartender was awesome - young, friendly, fun, and efficient. I would go here again for sure.

Wedge salad - A wedge salad served on a white oval plate includes chopped iceberg lettuce, tomato wedges, and thinly sliced red onions. The salad is garnished with crumbled cheese and drizzled with a dark balsamic glaze and additional dressing. The presentation is simple, with the ingredients arranged neatly on the plate, and the salad appears fresh and appetizing.

We brought our boat over and were told about this restaurant by the bartender at MO's (Thanks Caroline!) This place is truly incredible. We started off with the meatball app (ate too quick to get a pic) and the Caesar salad. Both were delicious! My husband got the chicken parmigiana and I got the chicken Marsala and all I can say is WOW! The portions, the flavor, the price, all just WOW! We can't be back.

Ribeye steak, twice baked potato, and asparagus. My go to dinner. - A rectangular white plate holds a grilled steak topped with a dollop of butter, accompanied by a bunch of cooked asparagus spears, a baked potato with a crispy skin, and a small container of creamy white sauce. The plate is set on a dark wooden table with other dishes, drinks, and utensils visible in the background, indicating a restaurant dining setting.

Business dinner. We ate at the bar in the basement. Service was great, food was very good. I'll be back next trip to the area.

A white plate holds a serving of mushroom gravy topped with shredded cheese, with two slices of toasted bread leaning against the side. The dish is placed on a black tablecloth, with a fork visible on the right. In the background, a person in a gray sweater is seated at a table with a rectangular plate containing asparagus, lemon wedges, and a piece of grilled meat, in a restaurant setting with wooden chairs and a warm ambiance.

Mama Mia's Italian Restaurant - Stuffed shells

Mama Mia's Italian Restaurant

When Yelp hands you a challenge, you do not decline. That Italian restaurant badge was flaunted in…read morefront of me and we decided that it was a mission to get it! As luck would have it, I chatted with a new local friend a few days before and 'got the lowdown' on Mama Mia's. Her words and advice were spot on! She gushed over the bread - so good! - and mentioned how she and her mom often shared plates because the serving sizes are so generous. She also said that they used to make their own spumoni and, admittedly, I hoped that was still true (I didn't confirm one way or another). There was a 20 minute wait. Our hostess was running a tight ship and we were confident in her forecast, so we chatted and looked over the carryout menu, planning our meals. It was pointless, of course, because it was still hard to decide! Our server Missy took great care of us, from fetching a craft beer menu to boxing up our leftovers. The restaurant was busy yet we never felt a moment of neglect. The hustle is STRONG here, with servers weaving intricately between the tables with food and beverages. It was a bit like dinner and a show! I had the tortellini Parmesan dinner, which started with one of the best bowls of minestrone that I can recall. The vegetables were on point, firm with no mush. The dinner salad had a lot of lettuce but also a nice collection of 'stuff' including cheese, meat and olives. I loved the tortellini; straightforward and not smothered, it let the pasta shine. Smokin'Hubster had the stuffed shells a la carte and added some meatballs. Everything was well-presented and prepared, super tasty and, well, it tasted like it was made with love. Nonna would approve! Because I had the dinner, I had my choice of ice cream. While I had hoped for the spumoni, the option I chose was amaretto Mackinac Island and it was divine. If they didn't make it on prem, they have an amazing partnership. I can't recall the last time I had ice cream after dinner and I certainly don't ever think that I've remembered it so fondly a week later. Trust me, it's THAT GOOD! In the best Italian tradition, the leftovers were even better the next day. The value cannot be overstated. We were fat, dumb and happy twice with this dinner. Crazy as it sounds, Smokin'Hubster was already planning a carryout order because he wants to try some other dishes (as do I)!! Start to finish, it was the best date night! Lots of street parking and easy to find in the burgeoning metropolis of Ishpeming. Get yourself here and enjoy la dolce vita!

The locale on the shorefront near a yacht club is endlessly interesting with boats moving in and out of the harbor along with the sun setting across the bay makes for priceless views guaranteed to create wonderful memories. The bar led by the owner's daughter, Kendall, makes wonderful drinks and the wine list is more than adequate. The menu is not extensive, but there is a little bit of everything and all of it is very well prepared. Especially appreciated are the delicious small plate items for those of us who cannot eat as much as we used to. Kris Johnson, the wife of the legendary J.J., has built and presided over this classic dining spot for at least two decades now. Like all of us, the heavy duties of running the day to day operations are wearing her out. I don't blame her, but being off for the winter will surely get her ready for another wonderful season. I love this place and so does my son and his family. Somewhat pricey but not out of line and well worth it.

He had great suggestions and paced our courses well. We started with the wedge salad which was way better than the traditional wedge salad of bygone days. Everything was so fresh and the bacon was delicious. Baby lamb chops were cooked perfectly. And the sauce was yummy. Shrimp and grits were good. Halibut with lemon risotto was great too. We split everything so we'd get to taste it all. And we topped off the meal with a slice of their carrot cake. Moist cake with excellent cream cheese frosting elevated by a caramel swirl and birthday message!
